This paper considers an integrated inventory-distribution system with a fleet of heterogeneous vehicles employed where a single warehouse distributes a single type of products to many spatially distributed retailers to satisfy their dynamic demands and the product is provided to the warehouse via procurement ordering from any manufacturing plant or market The Problem is formulated as an Mixed Integer Programming with the objective function of minimizing the sum of inventory holding cost (at the warehouse and retailers), and transportation cost and procurement ordering cost at the warehouse, subject to inventory-balancing constraints, ordering constraints, vehicle capacity constraints and transportation time constraints. The problem is Proven to be NP-hard. Accordingly, a Lagrangean heuristic procedure is derived and tested for its effectiveness through computational experiments with some numerical instances.

자동차 부품기업은 재료비의 비중이 제조원가의 $70\%$이상 차지할 정도로 부품자재의 조달과 공급이 중요한 영역이며, 완성차를 제조하기 위한 공급망관리에 있어서 필수적인 분야라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 국내 자동차부품기업을 대상으로 공급망관리(SCM) 기능이 요구되는 부품조달 및 공급을 위한 자동차 부품업체간의 전자상거래를 활성화하기 위한 목적으로 전자조달(e-Procurement) 기업정보포탈(EIP) 시스템의 프로토타입 을 제안하였다. 제안된 e-Procurement EIP 시스템은 완성차 제조를 위하여 부품을 공급하는 1자 공급업체를 중심으로 2차 공급업체와의 부자재 및 MRO, 소모성 자재를 중심으로 하고 있으며 정보의 통합화를 위하여 중소기업간의 협업 프로세스의 개선, 안전한 XML 전자문서의 교환, 구매 일정관리 및 커뮤니티 형성, 부가서비스 기능 둠을 제공함으로써 부품기업간의 효율적인 협업체제 구죽 및 업무 신속성과 업무처리비용을 절감할 수 있다.

For the success of total six sigma innovation, it is necessary to improve the suppliers' quality in the supply chain. This paper presents the deployment and support system of six sigma innovation for supply chain quality improvement, with the application to an aerospace production company. The process of project selection, project implementation, financial effect verification, benefit sharing is presented. This paper will benefit the companies which are going to enhance all the companies in the supply chain via six sigma activities.

본 연구는 미래 무기체계 획득환경의 변화와 현재의 무기체계 시험평가 업무수행 체계, 시험평가 조직, 시험평가 기반 등 제반 제한사항을 분석하여 미래환경에 부합된 시험평가 발전방안을 제시하고자 한다. 시험평가의 역할은 무기체계 개발간 조기에 결함을 식별하여 해소하여 적시적인 위험관리를 하고, 전투용 적합 여부를 판단함으로써 전력화 여부에 대한 의사결정을 지원하는 것이다. 본 연구의 결과는 무기체계 개발과정에서 결함을 조기에 식별하여 적시적인 위험 관리를 하고, 전투용 적합 여부를 판단함으로써 전력화 여부에 대한 의사결정을 지원하게 될 것이다.

In this regard, the newly focused logistics information system makes reducing the expenses of whole logistic available by cutting down the expenses of materials, transportation and stock and also, it allows the company to cut down the procurement expense through the reduced lead-time and rationalize producing plans by eliminating the uncertain orders and fluctuation in procurement. It further more optimizes the efficiency of over all productions by meeting the dead line for delivery to the customers. In the recent environment of globalization where fierce competitions exist between manufacturers, logistics plays important role in the strategies of companies, and managements of companies try their best efforts in establishing the strategy to accomplish the innovative relationship between supply chain channels. Therefore, in this study, we try to suggest the model of consolidated logistics system that is integrated logistics information system with suggesting the better way of logistics and comparative analysis with logistics system to resolve the difficulties numbers of companies face after realizing what logistics information system is in Korea.

This study was to analyze the job of cooks of school foodservice. The purpose of this study were to examine importance of the present job and future-oriented job of cooks in school foodservice, and to compare the present job performance time with the future-oriented job performance time. The questionnaire was delveloped by focus group and pilot test. The work sampling was choosed to verify the objectivity of job analysis. The statistical software package was SAS 10.0. ‘Menu Management’, ‘Procurement’, ‘Receiving and Inventory control’ and ‘Cooking facilities Management’ of the present job was perceived significantly more important than the future-oriented job. ‘Procurement’, ‘Receiving and inventory control’, ‘distribution’ and ‘dishwashing’ of the future-oriented job was perceived significantly longer than the present job performance time. This study will be used to develop job specification for the cooks of school foodservice.

There is a need for effective tracking and control of material loading and delivery time especially during the finishing-work phases to eliminate the need for lay-down space on the site. Hence, it is essential to monitor the relevant information regarding material procurement in construction sites, and it is also the key factor for successful site control and the adoption of the Just-in-Time concept for high-rise building construction. The purpose of this study is to test RFID's readability in order to develop a finishing material monitoring system through the application of RFID technology.

State highway agencies (SHAs) typically apply a competitive procurement procedure to select contractors for their design-bid-build projects. Since the level of competition affects construction bid prices and project outcomes, the Federal Highway Agency (FHWA) suggests SHAs seek ways to improve competition among contractors continuously. However, they rarely conduct an empirical assessment of the current competition level necessary to identify room for improvement. Besides the number of bidders on a project, other factors such as winning or losing rates among the contractors in previous projects can also indicate the degree of competition; only a few contractors may have won the majority of the projects in a specific region. However, few studies have investigated such factors. This paper proposes a network analysis-based approach to evaluating contractor competition levels of highway projects using historical bid tabulation data. The proposed method provides insights into overall competition levels, the determination of competitive contractors, and winning rate distribution among contractors.

Design-bid-build (DBB) is the most common project delivery method among highway projects. State Highway Agencies (SHAs) usually apply a low-bid approach to select contractors for their DBB projects. In this approach, the Federal Highway Agency suggests SHAs heighten contractors' competition to lower bid prices. However, these attempts may become ineffective due to collusive bidding arrangements among certain contractors. One common strategy is the rotation of winning bidders of a group of contractors who bid on many of the same projects. These arrangements may also be specific to a particular region or vary in time. Despite the practices' adverse effects on bidding outcomes, an effective model to detect red-flag bidding patterns is lacking. This study fills the gap by proposing a novel framework that utilizes pattern mining techniques and statistical tests for unusual pattern detection. A case study with historical data from an SHA is conducted to illustrate the proposed framework.
