Automation and Common Utilization Plans of Job and Organization Analysis of Producing Institutions (생산기관 직제분석 자동화 및 공통 활용 방안)

  • Job and organization analysis of producing institutes is a task that identifies the history of transition and major business functions for various record-producing institutions and must be performed in common within the archives, and many workers must jointly refer to the relevant knowledge. However, in the field, a limited number of people in charge are individually performing by manual work, and the results are not shared. Therefore, this study aims to reduce the work burden of workers through the automation of the job and organization analysis process and build basic resources that can be commonly used by the archives. This study subdivided the task of job and organization analysis into manual, semi-automation, and automation parts by performing FGI with the practitioner of the archive and suggested ways to realize it. In addition, we derive the basic analysis data that can be commonly referenced in the electronic records management process, and by verifying the results through practitioners, efficient use of knowledge resources is suggested. Furthermore, by establishing a standardized work process, we intend to lay the foundation to support consistent and systematic work performance.

Automation Review of Road Design Standard using Visual Programming (비주얼 프로그래밍 기법을 활용한 도로설계기준 자동검토 방안)

  • Purpose: There is not much time left for mandatory BIM implementation for all sectors and stages of the construction industry. Therefore, it is necessary to find a way to secure technology to substantially improve the productivity of BIM work. In the research, we proposed a method to automatically verify related construction standards for major objects produced by BIM modeling procedures so that engineers can verify construction standards in the BIM-based design process. Method: We defined a modeling work procedure for BIM-based road design work and prepared a method for constructing related design standards in a database. In addition, a process map for developing a BIM-based design basis review automation system was also presented. Result: A BIM-based design standard review automation module was developed using Civil3D and Dynamo. And it was confirmed by the test application that it is possible to quickly judge whether the BIM object manufactured in the design process conforms to the construction design standard. Conclusion: BIM-based design standard review automation technology can improve the productivity of BIM model production work and secure the quality of the BIM model.

  • Owing to the rapid development of computer system and the introduction of image processing technique, recent photogrammetric studies have been concentrated on the automation of photogrammetric orientation work that have been carried out by skilled professionals in analog and/or analytical pbotogrammetric field. To automate the whole photogrammetric work, the automation of the orientation processes including interior, relative and absolute orientation should be preceded. This study aims to automate interior orientation and relative orientation process. For this purpose, we applied Hough transform to interior orientation process and object space matching technique to relative orientation process. As the result of this study, we can present a method to automate interior and relative orientation process that has been semi-automatically operated in most commercial digital photogrammetric workstations currently available.

Automatic Tree Extraction Using LIDAR Data (라이다 자료를 이용한 수목추출 자동화)

  • Trees are important ground objects that cause oxygen and reduce carbon dioxide in urban areas. For management of the trees, many studies using LIDAR data have been conducted. But, they rely on overseas developed LIDAR data processing software applications because there is a lack of domestically developed software applications. Therefore, this work was intended to propose an automation process that helps to extract trees automatically from LIDAR data. The proposed process has the function to classify LIDAR data and to extract building regions and trees automatically. It was applied to a study place in Yongin to conduct a test. As a result, about 88% of trees were extracted from the automation process.

  • Injection molding is a process widely used across various industries for molding plastics, and it is the most commonly applied process in root industries utilizing molds. Among the different types of injection molding, insert injection molding, where busbars are used as inserts, is increasingly being applied in the electric vehicle industry. However, currently, the insert injection molding process is manually performed, with workers placing insert components by hand before injection molding. This results in issues related to productivity, safety, and quality. Additionally, there is a growing demand for automation of such production lines due to hazardous working conditions, economic difficulties in the manufacturing industry, and the decline in the labor force caused by an aging population. This study focuses on the application of an automated system for the insert injection molding process used in electric vehicles. The development of an automated system for the transport and insertion of insert components, as well as the inspection and stacking processes after injection, has resulted in over a 25% improvement in productivity and more than a 27% reduction in defect rates.

Digital Customized Automation Technology Trends (디지털 커스터마이징 자동화 기술 동향)

  • With digital technology innovation, increased data access and mobile network use by consumers, products and services are changing toward pursuing differentiated values for personalization, and personalized markets are rapidly emerging in the fashion industry. This study aims to identify trends in digital customized automation technology by deriving types of digital customizing and analyzing cases by type, and to present directions for the development of digital customizing processes and the use of technology in the future. As a research method, a literature study for a theoretical background, a case study for classification and analysis of types was conducted. The results of the study are as follows. The types of digital customizing can be classified into three types: 'cooperative customization', 'selective composition and combination', 'transparent suggestion', and automation technologies shown in each type include 3D printing, 3D virtual clothing, robot mannequin, human automatic measurement program, AR-based fitting service, big data, and AI-based curation function. With the development of digital automation technology, the fashion industry environment is also changing from existing manufacturing-oriented to consumer-oriented, and the production process is rapidly changing with IT and artificial intelligence-based automation technology. The results of this study hope that digital customized automation technology will meet various needs of personalization and customization and present the future direction of digital fashion technology, where fashion brands will expand based on the spread of digital technology.

Reliable $H_{\infty}$ Controller Design for a Class of Uncertain Linear Systems with Actuator Failures

  • This paper is concerned with the reliable $H_{\infty}$ controller design problem for uncertain linear systems against actuator failures. In the design, the $H_{\infty}$ performance of the closed-loop system is optimized during normal operation(without failures) while the system satisfies a prescribed $H_{\infty}$ performance level in the case of actuator failures. Single and parameter-dependent Lyapunov function approaches are applied in designing suboptimal reliable $H_{\infty}$ controllers. Simulation studies are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed design procedures.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a automation for decision of the optimum stories in apartment buildings in order to assure the solar access right for neighboring areas. Compared to the results of the optimum stories by manual process through applying a legal case over solar access right, the proposed method provides more improved and expanded information by automating the computing process of decision of the optimum stories in apartment buildings. With the result of this research, it would be possible to furnish with advanced information for an amicable settlement against the civil petition and disputes, to reduce waste of the time and cost and to improve the efficiency of solar access right analysis works.

  • A automatic component inserting system for industrial PCB is developed in this paper. This system has not been developed in Korea. Most domestic companies produce PCB manually. This process requires highly-skilled staff. Therefor, we developed a PCB inserting system for automation of the process and improved productivity. There are low parts in this system; press, table, tool change and control part. A hybrid press cylinder with pneumatic and hydraulic is used in the press part. The table part consists of pneumatic actuators, stepping motors and ball-screw mechanism. In the tool change part, upper tools can be exchanged automatically for the inserting of various components. The control part consists of motor drivers, PLCs and power supply.
