Critical Factors Affecting Customers' Purchase Intention of Insurance Policies in Indonesia

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of product quality factors, product risk, company reputation, and service quality on the purchase intention of insurance policies by customers in Indonesia. The variables in this study are product quality, service quality, company reputation, perceived risk, and purchase intention. This study uses a quantitative approach. Primary data were obtained from 154 respondents. Data processing and model testing use the Structural Equation Modeling procedure with Lisrel 8.80. At the significance level of 0.05, the research found that product quality had a positive and significant effect on purchase intention; product quality had a positive and significant effect on company reputation; product quality had a positive and significant effect on perceived risk perception; company reputation had a positive and significant effect on purchase intention; company reputation has a positive and insignificant effect on service quality; product quality has a positive, but non-significant effect on service quality; service quality has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention; perceived risk has a negative and significant effect on purchase intention; perceived risk has a positive and significant impact on service quality; and perceived risk has a positive and significant effect on company reputation.

구치부 단일 임플란트의 생존율에 대한 후향적 연구 (A Retrospective Clinical Study of Survival Rate for a Single Implant in Posterior Teeth)

  • Purpose: Single implants, of which screw loosening has been observed frequently, presents problems such as fixtures fractures, marginal bone loss, and inflammation of the soft tissue around the implant. However, the single implant is more conservative, cost effective, and predictable compared to the 3 unit bridge with respect to the long-term outcome. This study evaluated the survival rate as well as future methods aimed at increasing the survival rate in single implants in posterior teeth. Methods: Among the implants placed in the Dankook University Dental Hospital department of Oral & Maxillofacial surgery from January 2001 to June 2008, 599 implants placed in the maxillar and mandibular posterior were evaluated retrospectively. Survival rates were investigated according to implant location, cause of tooth loss, gender, age, general disease, fixture diameter and length, surface texture, implant type and shape, presence of bone graft, surgery stage, surgeons, bone quality and opposite teeth. Results: Out of 599 single implants in posterior teeth, 580 implants survived and the survival rate was 96.8%. The difference in survival rate was statistically significant according to the implant location. The survival rate was low (84.2%) in implants exhibiting a wide diameter (${\geq}5.1mm$) and the surface treated by the acid etching group demonstrated a significantly lower survival rate (91.1%). One stage surgical procedure, which implemented a relatively better bone quality survival rate (100%), was higher than the two stage surgical procedure (96.1%). The survival rate of type IV bone quality (75%) was significantly lower than the other bone quality. Conclusion: Single posterior teeth implant treatments should use an improved surface finishing fixture as well as careful and safe procedures when performing implant surgery in the maxilla premolar and molar regions since bone quality is poor.

A Method for Simultaneous Measurement of Air Kerma, Half Value Layer and Tube Potential in Quality Control Procedure of Diagnostic x ray units

  • For the quality control procedure of diagnostic x ray units, a method for simultaneous measurement of air kerma, half value layer and tube potential was developed utilizing a computed radiography system for intraoral radiography and film badge case. The response of average pixel values under the windows were calibrated by x rays generated at tube potentials from 40 to 140 kV with filtration from 1.5 to 3.7 mmAl. The calibration curves for half value layer and tube potential were derived as functions of attenuation factors by the 1.4 mmAl filter and the 0.2 mmCu filter. The energy dependency of the open window response was corrected by the calibration factor as a function of the attenuation factor by the 1.4 mmAl filter. The uncertainty of the estimated half value layer, tube potential and air kerma were 0.2 mmAl, 3.6 % and 5 %, respectively. It was thus suggested that this system could be applied to quality control program to detect the variation of working condition of x ray units in clinical use.

  • This essay talks about research of robust design for quality improvement of production procedure of Wet Etchant. It suggested the optimum design method in consideration of specific capability value that is the way to maximize the quality of product in the production system by using Daguchi parameter design method while finding factors affecting product quality with analysis of production system of product A from producer D. Also, it set long term of 6months as noise factor and let it to be the robust design that can find the optimum condition of control factor that is dull to the changes of each month, that is the change in noise factor. The control factor which affects the product quality is decided as combination method, temperature of raw material, combination time and as there are too many possibilities for combination methods, we performed 4 methods first based on previous research data then derived three ways with product that passed SPEC and set as the factor. As a result of application of optimum production procedure suggested in this essay to the actual production process with its standardization, there was a effect of drop of more than 10particles in comparison to the particle number of previous product and also it brought the effect that resulted the stable number of particle of under 30 that is what the client company suggested.

관측데이터 처리의 품질제어를 통한 GPS 측위의 신뢰성 향상 (Application of Quality Control Procedure to Improve Reliability of GPS Positioning)

  • GPS 관측에 의해 정확한 위치추정을 위해서는 올바른 함수모형과 통계모형이 사용되어야 한다. 그러나 함수모형에 고려되지 않는 과대오차가 관측데이터에 포함되어 있는 경우는 추정좌표에 편의를 유발 시킨다. 이러한 과대오차는 전리층영향과 다중경로의 급격한 변화 혹은 수신기 오작동에 의해 주로 발생하며, 최소제곱법에 의한 수신기 위치 추정에서 반드시 제거해야 정확도를 최대화 할 수 있다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 과대오차의 검출, 규명, 적용의 세 단계로 구성된 GPS 관측데이터 처리에서의 품질제어 알고리즘과 통계검정 기법의 성능을 나타내는 신뢰도 이론을 연구하여 의사거리를 이용하는 단독측위에 대하여 구현하였다. 이를 바탕으로 정지측위와 동적측위 관측실험을 실시하여 분석한 결과 잉여관측데이터수가 많고 기하구조의 강도가 높고 보다 현실적인 통계모형을 사용할 때 과대오차 규명 성능이 높아졌으며, 관측데이터에서 과대 오차가 제거됨에 따라 추정좌표의 정확도가 증가되어 전체적으로 GPS 측위의 신뢰성을 향상 시킬 수 있었다.

하천그룹화 방법을 이용한 수질개선 하천유역의 우선순위 선정 (Selection Priority of Tributary Catchments for Improving Water Quality using Stream Grouping Method)

  • For effective watershed management, it is very important to select the tributaries through selection and concentration of targeted tributary catchments for improving water quality within the limited financial conditions. This study introduced the selection and diagnosis procedure of tributary catchments for improving water quality at Chungcheongnam-do based on water quality and flowrate monitoring, stream grouping method. The tributaries with high value of water quality and flowrate were selected for improving water quality according to stream grouping method. The diagnosis of selected tributaries for improving water quality was performed with analysis of the pollution load (generated, discharged, delivered) and point source discharged pollution load density. The plans for improving water quality of tributaries were suggested thorough various diagnosis of tributary catchments. For improving water quality of tributaries in Chungcheongnam-do, the tributary catchments in the Dangjin, Asan, Yesan, Cheonan, Hongseong area should be preferentially considered. The water quality improving plans for those tributary catchments, in accordance with the reduction of sources of pollution by population and livestock, should be established.

  • Evolutionary Operation was proposed by Box(1957) as an operating procedure for nudging a plant toward optimum conditions without causing dramatic disturbances and catastrophic cutbacks in production. In case two or three operating variables are monitored, Box and Hunter (1959) show how the EVOP is facilitated by using simplified calculations and emphasizing graphical presentation. Now, in this artical we develope EVOP when four operating variables are monitored and suggest more extended EVOP in general case.

Accelerated Life Test Plans Based on Small Sample Property

  • This paper suggests optimal accelerated constant stress life tests in Exponential distribution. The relationship between the log-mean life and the loaded stress is assumed to be linear. Optimal plans considering mean square errors of maximum likelihood estimators of the log mean life and test costs are obtained. We consider accelerated life tests with two stress levels, and as data types, failure censoring( type II) and time censoring(type I) data are used. We propose the procedure to obtain the optimal plans for each case. Some examples are also included.

  • In general, it is very efficient and effective to use screening variables that are correlated with the performance variable in case that measuring the performance variable is impossible (destructive) or expensive. The general methodology for searching surrogate variables is regression analysis. This paper considers the inspection problem in CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) production line, in which the performance variable (dependent variable) is binary type and screening variables are continuous. The general regression with dummy variable, discriminant analysis and binary logistic regression are considered. The cost model is also formulated to determine economically inspection procedure with screening variables.

  • We study the Bayes estimation procedure of ${\theta}=P_r$=(Y < X) when the experiment is terminated before all of the items on the test have failed and the failed items are partially replaced. Comparisons with the M.L.E., M.V.U.E. and Bayes estimator are made through Monte Carlo simulation.
