어머니의 애정적 양육행동과 심리·행동 통제가 유아의 문제행동에 미치는 영향: 자기통제의 매개효과 (Effects of Mother's Affectionate Parenting, Psychological·Behavioral Control on Young Children's Problem Behaviors: Mediating Effect of Self-control)

  • 본 연구는 유아의 문제행동에 미치는 어머니의 애정적 양육행동과 심리 행동통제 및 유아의 자기통제의 영향을 분석하고자 하였다. 어머니의 애정적 양육행동과 심리 행동통제가 유아의 문제행동에 미치는 영향관계에서 유아의 자기통제의 매개역할을 검증하였다. 3-5세 유아기 자녀를 둔 368명의 어머니들을 대상으로 하였으며, 질문지를 통해 수집한 자료를 SPSS 12.0 program을 사용하여 빈도 및 상관, 요인분석, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, t-test, F-test, Pearson's correlation, 회귀분석을 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 어머니의 애정적 행동이 유아의 내면화 및 외현화 문제행동에 미치는 영향관계에서 유아의 자기통제는 유의한 부분매개효과를 나타냈다. 둘째, 어머니의 심리통제가 유아의 내면화 및 외현화 문제행동에 미치는 영향관계에서 유아의 자기통제가 유의한 부분매개효과를 나타냈다. 셋째, 유아의 자기통제는 어머니의 행동통제와 유아의 내면화 및 외현화문제행동과의 관계를 유의하게 매개하지 않았다. 본 연구는 어머니의 양육을 애정 및 심리통제와 행동통제로 구분하여 유아의 자기통제라는 내면화과정을 통해 문제행동을 설명했다는데 의의가 있다.

어머니의 취업여부에 따른 양육태도, 모-자녀상호작용, 유아의 또래놀이 상호작용 및 문제행동 간의 관계 (Relationship among Parenting Style, Mother-Child Interaction, Young Children's Interactive Peer Play and Problem Behaviors by Mother's Employment Status)

  • 본 연구는 육아정책연구소에서 제공하는 한국아동패널 6차년도(2013)데이터를 사용하여 유아기 자녀를 둔 1614명의 어머니를 대상으로 취업여부에 따른 양육태도, 모-자녀상호작용, 유아의 또래놀이 상호작용 및 문제행동에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 이용하여 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 어머니의 취업여부에 관계없이 어머니의 온정적 양육태도가 높을수록, 유아의 또래놀이 상호작용이 높을수록 유아의 내재화, 외현화 문제행동이 모두 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 취업모의 경우 모-자녀상호작용이 유아의 내재화, 외현화 문제행동에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않았지만, 비취업모의 경우에는 유의미한 영향을 미쳐 자녀와 상호작용이 많을수록 유아의 내재화, 외현화 문제행동이 증가하는 것으로 나타나 취업모와 비취업모의 차이가 있었다. 이러한 연구결과에 기초하여 유아의 다양한 문제행동을 예방하는 부모교육 프로그램이나 아동 가족 상담현장에 실제적으로 활용할 수 있는 기초자료를 제공했다는 데 본 연구의 의의가 있다.

잠재성장모형을 활용한 청소년 전환기 내면화 및 외현화 문제행동과 관련변인에 관한 연구 (A Study on Adolescents' Internalizing and Externalizing Problem Behaviors and Related Variables in Transition with Latent Growth Model)

  • This study investigated how variables of internalizing and externalizing problematic behaviors change according to gender and as time passes by and how the variables influence adolescent problematic behaviors. The variables selected for the analysis are personal variables, parent variables, peer and school variables, and community variables. longitudinal data collected for 4 years from the Korea Youth Panel Survey(KYPS) were utilized for the analysis. Data were collected initially from 2,707 fifth grade elementary students in 2005 and they were traced until 2008. The final respondents were 2,448 students. The findings are as follows. Frist, the statistical significance was found in changes of problematic behavioral variables in terms of the gender difference. Second, variables, such as self-esteem and self-control are negatively correlated to the problematic behaviors and stress level is strongly positively correlated to the behaviors. Third, the study pressure and peer attachment level are correlated to the initial value of internalizing problematic behaviors. In conclusion, given that more statistical significances were found at initial values than the change rates among variables, early intervention is important in addressing adolescent problematic behaviors.

경호업무수행자의 성격특성과 직무스트레스 대처행동 및 대처효과의 관계 (The Relationship of Safeguard Accomplishment Personality and Stress Coping Behavior)

  • The purpose of this research is to find relationships between safeguards' personality traits and stress coping behaviors. The findings then could provide data to adapt safeguards to their duties. For that, personality traits such as sociability, stability and stress coping behaviors and the effects were investigated. In addition, cognitive aspects which were known to influence stress coping behaviors were appraised. The findings of this research are as follows, First, regarding personality traits and stress coping behaviors, the unstable and unsocial group used the emotion-focused coping style more than the stable and social group. The two groups didn't show any significant differences in the problem-focused coping style. The A-type group used both the problem-focused style and the emotion-focused style more than the B-type group. The common characteristic of the unstable, the unsociable and the A-type groups was the heavy use of avoidance behaviors of the emotion-focused coping style. Second, In the correlation between the personal traits and the stress coping effects regarding adaptability, the stability influenced stress coping effects. Third, regarding the personality traits, the coping styles and the coping effects, A-type group showed high correlation with the sociability but not with the stability. The problem-focused coping style showed high correlation with the emotion-focused style. Fourth, the cognitive appraisal on the stress causes influenced the stress coping styles but not the stress coping effects. Fifth, the cognitive appraisal on the same stress causes didn't show any significant differences among the personality traits.

The Efficacy of Visual Activity Schedule Intervention in Reducing Problem Behaviors in Children With Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder Between the Age of 5 and 12 Years: A Systematic Review

  • Objectives: Children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) tend to be noisy and violate rules with their disruptive behaviors, resulting in greater difficulties with off-task behaviors and being at risk for social refusal. The visual activity schedule (VAS) intervention program is a frequently used method to teach multiple skills involving on-task, use of schedules, transition behaviors, social initiation, independent play skills, classroom skills, and academic skills. The current systematic review aimed to examine the efficacy of using VAS intervention in reducing problem behaviors in children with ADHD between 5 and 12 years of age. Methods: Systematic searches were conducted using two electronic databases (PubMed and Scopus) to identify relevant studies published in English between 2010 and 2020. Four studies met the inclusion criteria: two studies examined the effect of schedule-based tasks and the use of an iPad on classroom skills, while the other two examined randomized clinical trials (RCTs) of psychosocial treatment for ADHD inattentive type and a cross-sectional study examined the impact of the group size on task behavior and work productivity in children with ADHD. Results: The findings indicate that the interventions used in all four studies could lead to increased satisfaction among participants and parents, as well as a reduction in problem behavior. In terms of the research indicators, the RCT had low quality, while the others were of high quality. Conclusion: A larger number of studies and the ADHD clinical population would help to increase the generalizability of future reviews of treatments in this context.

결혼생활의 표면적 문제와 핵심 문제가 부부싸움에서 사용하는 역기능적 의사소통 행동에 미치는 영향 : 기혼여성을 중심으로 (Effects of Surface and Core Problems in Marriage on Dysfunctional Communication Behaviors in Marital Arguments : Focusing on Married Women)

  • The current study examined the ability to predict Gottman's four dysfunctional communication behaviors during marital arguments based on the level of surface and core problems in marriage. Core problems were composed of three factors: caring, power, and commitment problems. A self-report questionnaire was administered to 182 married women residing in Busan. The results of multiple regression analyses revealed that a woman's degree of criticism was predicted by surface and caring problems when controlling for the other variables. The degree of contempt was predicted by a commitment problem as well as surface and caring problems. Defensiveness was determined only by a commitment problem, while stonewalling was determined only by a power problem. Overall, these results showed the importance of core problems in understanding the causes of the four dysfunctional communication behaviors - especially contempt - and suggested that additional attention should be given to a commitment problem as a contributor to the expression of contempt and defensiveness.

부모 자아분화와 아동 자아분화 및 세대간 가족관계가 아동의 문제행동에 미치는 영향 (Effects of the Intergenerational Family Relationship and the Self-Differentiation of Parents and Child on the Children's Problematic Behaviors)

  • The subjects of this study were composed of 620 $5^{th}$ and $6^{th}$ grade children in Pusan City and their parents. Both parents completed the Differentiation of Self Inventory(DSI : Skowron & Friedlander, 1998). Children completed the DSI, the Personal Authority in the Family System Questionnaire (Bray et al., 1984), and the Youth Self-Report (Archenbach, 1991). These measures were translated into Korean and adapted for children and parents; their validity was established through a preliminary survey of content validity and reliability. Results showed no meaningful correlation between parent's self-differentiation and children's self-differentiation or between parents' self-differentiation total and children's level of problem behaviors. However, Intergenerational Family Relationship and Children's Self-Differentiation influenced children's internalizing and externalizing of problem behavior.

아동의 또래 괴롭힘 가해 및 피해경험과 교사보고에 따른 문제행동과 유능성 : 학년과 성별 비교 (Children's Bullying, Victimization and Teacher's Reports of Problem Behaviors and Competencies)

  • Data were collected from teacher reports and from 529 1st to 6th grade students through questionnaires. Bullying was higher among boys than girls. Victimization was higher in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 6th grade boys than girls. Acting out was highest in 2nd graders and lowest in 3rd graders. Shy-anxiousness was highest in 4th and 6th graders and lowest in 1st and 3rd graders. Learning problems were lowest among 3rd graders. Competencies were higher in 1st and 2nd grades. Boys had more problem behaviors; girls showed better competencies. Bullying was positively related to acting out, and negatively related to frustration tolerance and task orientation. Victimization was positively related to shy-anxiousness and learning problems, and negatively related to frustration tolerance, assertive social skills and task orientation.

문제 해결을 위한 모-자 상호작용시 어머니 행동과 관련된 변인 : 결혼 만족도, 자녀양육 스트레스, 애착 안정성 (Maternal Behavior during Mother-Child Problem Solving : Effects of Marital Satisfaction, Parenting Stress, and Attachment Security)

  • Maternal interactions during mother-child problem solving tasks were analyzed by marital satisfaction, parenting stress, and child attachment security. Forty 36-to 52-month-old children and their mothers were observed at home. Mothers' ratings of marital satisfaction and parenting stress were collected by questionnaires, and Attachment Q-set assessed child attachment security. Marital satisfaction and child attachment security were negative1y related to parenting stress. Marital satisfaction, parenting stress, and attachment security were related to maternal behaviors. The relations between child's attachment security and maternal behaviors were mediated by parenting stress. Stronger child attachment security was related to lower parenting stress, which in turn contributed to competent maternal behaviors during problem solving.

Relationships between Experiencing Verbal Violence and the Emotional Responses and Coping Behaviors of Dental Hygienists

  • This study investigated the relationships between experiencing verbal violence and the emotional responses and coping behaviors of dental hygienists who worked in Jeonju between February 24 and March 18, 2017 to prepare strategies for managing verbal violence and establish a healthy working environment for dental hygienists. The following findings were obtained in this study. The dental hygienists primarily experienced verbal violence from patients and guardians (1.67 points). The most common verbal violence type was, "Someone treated me impolitely." The most common emotional response to verbal violence was "anger" (3.52 points). The coping style of most dental hygienists was problem-focused coping (3.28 points), followed by emotion-focused coping (2.75 points). Most hygienists with the problem-focused coping style stated that they resolve the problem through dialogue (3.51 points), while most hygienists with the emotion-focused coping style responded that they just ignore the situation (3.78 points). The relationship between experiencing verbal violence and the emotional responses and coping behaviors of dental hygienists showed a statistically significant positive correlation (p<0.05) with emotional responses and problem- and emotion-focused coping associated with experiencing verbal violence from dentists, patients, and guardians. These findings confirm the need to reduce verbal violence, control emotional responses after exposure to verbal violence, and use more problem-focused coping measures. Dental hygienists must develop interpersonal skills and communication techniques and promote professionalism in their workplace to protect themselves from verbal violence at work.
