병원조직 구성원의 조직정치지각과 조직유효성과의 관계: 조직신뢰의 조절효과 (An Empirical Analysis of The Relationship between Hospital Employees' Perception of Organizational Politics, Organizational Effectiveness, and The Moderating Role of Organizational Trust)

  • The purpose of this study was to empirically investigate the relationship between hospital employeesʼ perceptions of organizational politics, organizational effectiveness such as job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and turnover intention. We also evaluated the moderating effect of organizational trust on the relationships between POPs and organizational effectiveness. By analyzing 726 employeesʼ data including physicians, nurses, medical technicians, and administrators from one private hospital, POPs was found to have had a highly negative relationship with job satisfaction and organizational commitment while a highly positive relationship with turnover intention. Furthermore, organizational trust moderated the relationship between POPs and job satisfaction, and also POPs and turnover intention, while no moderating effect appeared between POPs and organizational commitment. Within the organization, employees who are in a group with high organizational trust have low job satisfaction and high turnover intention when they have high POPs rather than a group with low organizational trust. Further the implications of these results and future directions of the study have been discussed.

  • The objective of this study is to disclose the effect of socio-demographic characteristics such as, age and ethnicity which is comprised of Malay, Chinese, Indian and Others on four financial capability domains namely planning ahead, managing money, choosing products and staying informed. A closed ended self-administered questionnaire was disseminated to a total of 2000 respondents among four types of groups which consist of FELDA or rural area residents, private sector employees, government sector employees and youth in institutions of higher learning in Malaysia. Those four groups were selected to cover a wide range of Malaysian population. 500 respondents were involved in this study for each types of groups through purposive sampling technique. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and analysis via Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) was utilized in this study. The results revealed that age has significant effect on planning ahead, managing money, choosing products and staying informed. Whereas, ethnicities were found to have no effect on financial capability except planning ahead domain. It is suggested that more devotion should be placed on research and professional training in building respondents' financial capability. Furthermore, government and non-government organizations should develop a comprehensive approach to intensify their financial capability and upgrade their standards of living especially of financially vulnerable households.

Does Perceived Organizational Politics Mediate the Relationship between Job Satisfaction and Organizational Citizenship Behavior? Insights from Bangladesh

  • Purpose: This study mainly aims to investigate the connection between job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior of bank employee. Another objective of this study is to check out the mediating impact of perceived organizational politics of bank personnel on the connection between their job happiness and citizenship behavior. Research design, data and methodology: Snowball sampling is utilized in this study, which is done among bank personnel at different public and private banks across north-eastern region of Bangladesh as well as information is accumulated through the use of a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire. IBM SPSS v22, Andrew F. Hayes process macro v3.5 and SmartPLS 3 are used to complete descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: The study results explore that employees' political perception has a negative influence on organizational citizenship behavior where bank employees' job happiness has a positive impact on structural citizenship manners and negative impact on perceived organizational politics. Surprisingly, perceptions of organizational politics were found to have an insignificant mediating effect on the connection between job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior. Conclusions: The present study reveals that satisfied bank personnel shows positive and constructive actions toward their organization where their political perception has an insignificant mediation.

  • 본 연구는 기업의 성과압박과 긍정심리자본 간의 관계에서 중용적 사고의 조절효과를 검증하는데 초점을 두었다. 특히 동양고전의 중용을 통해 부정적 효과를 완화시키는 주요한 효과를 살펴보았다. 이를 검증하기 위해 지방 소재공공기관 및 제조업과 서비스업에 종사하는 민간기업 종업원 239명의 설문자료를 토대로 실증분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 성과압박은 긍정심리자본에 부(-)적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 중용적 사고는 성과압박과 긍정심리자본 간의 부정적인 영향을 완화시켜주는 조절효과가 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 결론에서 연구요약 및 실무적 시사점, 그리고 향후 연구방향을 기술하였다.

민간경비원의 대인관계스트레스와 직무만족, 이직의도의 관계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Relationship between the Interpersonal Stress in Private Security Officers and Their Job Satisfaction and Turnover Intention)

  • 본 연구는 민간경비원들이 업무 수행 및 조직 목적을 달성하기 위하여 조직 내 인간관계 또는 고객과의 상호작용에서 생기는 여러 형태의 갈등을 대상으로 직무만족과 이직의도에 미치는 영향을 확인하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 즉, 연구 목적인 대인관계스트레스와 직무만족, 이직의도의 관계를 규명하기 위하여 서울 경기지역의 경비업체에서 근무하는 일반경비원을 대상으로 조사 분석 후 다음과 같은 연구 결과를 확인하였다. 첫째, 민간경비원의 대인관계스트레스는 고객관계 스트레스가 가장 높았으며 다음으로 동료관계 스트레스, 상사관계 스트레스 순이었다. 둘째, 대인관계 스트레스가 직무만족과 이직의도에 미치는 영향을 확인한 결과 직무만족에는 동료관계 스트레스만 유의하게 부(-)적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 이직의도에는 동료관계 스트레스와 상사관계 스트레스가 유의하게 정(+)적인 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 대인관계 스트레스와 이직의도 간에 관계에서 직무만족의 매개효과를 확인한 결과 동료관계 스트레스가 직무만족을 매개하여 이직의도에 유의하게 영향력을 보였다. 이러한 연구결과는 민간경비원의 대인관계 스트레스의 관리방안에 대한 필요성을 인식시켜 주었으며 조직 내 동료관계 스트레스의 관리가 매우 중요하다는 것을 확인할 수 있는 결과로 이를 바탕으로 효과적인 인적 관리 개선방안에 관한 후속 연구가 진행되어야 할 것이다.

Talent Conceptualization and Talent Management Approaches in the Vietnamese Banking Sector

  • The research postulates the conceptualization of talent in the Vietnamese banking sector via examining the factors pertaining to the concept of talent and talent management (TM) in the sector. This study applied qualitative research methods. A total of 20 managers and directors of ten banks (three public, four private and three foreign banks) were recruited for semi-structured interviews. The findings revealed that a combination of interconnected soft skills, learning ability, flexibility, technology adaptability, integrity and risk management skills contributes to talent identification. Managers in some private banks construed talent to be commensurate with high performance and high potential, whereas managers in public banks and foreign banks mainly relied on performance results in talent recognition. Moreover, talented employees holding sales-related jobs are given the most attention by management in the studied banks. Regarding practical implications, the banking community and practitioners' focus should be imparted to soft skills development and integrity control in order to foster employee performance and attitudes. Attention should be paid not only to sales positions, but also to other positions within the bank. This study is one of a few which explores talent concepts and TM approaches in the banking sector in general and Vietnamese banking field in particular.

한옥을 적용한 유니트형 시설의 도입과 인테리어 적용요소 분석 (Implementation of Unit-care Welfare Facility applying a Traditional Korean House and Analysis of Interior Application Elements)

  • This paper not only reviews recent trends and characteristics of welfare facilities, but also proposes main components such as building materials and furniture applying a traditional Korean house. This paper aims to utilize interior design and construction materials of unit-care welfare facility applying the traditional Korean house. Results are as follows. 1. The rate of the private bedroom as elderly welfare facilities is 63.1%; on the contrary, the rate of the 4-person bedroom is 63.2%. The expansion of the private bedroom is an urgent need in order to improve the quality of residences. 2. According to elderly services needs and revitalization for the traditional Korean house, it is required to implementation the unit-care facilities for the elderly and interior design for the traditional Korean house. 3. The interior design for the traditional Korean house is applied to elderly living space such as a bedroom and a living room; it is not applied to care space and management space such as a nurse station and an office occupied by employees. 4. There is no problem to construct space applying the traditional Korean house using interior products currently being sold in the domestic market. 5. Standardized mass production is essential to popularize the traditional Korean house style interior.

Credit Risk Measurement Practices in Indian Commercial Banks - An Empirical Investigation

  • Banking institutions have been facing variety of difficulties but the major cause of serious banking problems relates to lax credit standards for borrowers and counterparties, poor portfolio risk management, or a lack of attention to changes in economic or other circumstances that can lead to deterioration in the credit standing of a bank's counterparties. Although credit risk is an important factor that financial institutions should cope with, but the determinants of measuring credit risk have been studied less. This paper attempts to explore the determinants of credit risk measurement and to identify the factors that contribute to credit risk measurement practices in Indian banks and to compare credit risk measurement practices followed by Indian public and private sector banks, the empirical study has been conducted and views of employees of various banks have been tested using statistical tools. This study explored the phenomenon from different perspectives and revealed that single-name credit risk measurement and portfolio credit risk measurement are the key components that contribute to credit risk measurement in Indian banks. From the descriptive and analytical results, it can be concluded that Indian banks efficiently measure credit risk. The results also indicate that there is a significant difference between the Indian public and private sector banks in single-name credit risk measurement while, these banks do not significantly differ in portfolio credit risk measurement aspect.

Strategies Contents for Financial Independent RIS in Proton Accelerator Science and Technology

  • This research would be the first step toward in the long processes of proton technology industrial cluster development by focusing on the region's readiness and acceptability of the proton technology project. As is shown in our questionnaire survey, the top priorities needed to consider for the Proton Technology project are found to be job creation (mean 3.74), regional economic development (mean 3.72), industry infrastructure(3.54), institution for science and education(3.53), economic inequalities(3.33), tourism industry revitalization(3.20). For public servants top priorities in order found to be regional economic development, job creation, industry infrastructure, institution for science and education, economic inequalities, tourism industry revitalization. Universities' priorities in order found to be job creation, regional economic development, institution for science and education, industry infrastructure, economic inequalities, tourism industry revitalization. The mean reliability score for the each party was found to be mayor((3.04), citizens(2.99), province(2.97), private corporation(2.96), and universities((2.93). Of particular note, the mean score except the mayor were all below median (3.00). province(3.24), city council member(3.20), public employees (3.09), private corporation(3.03), nonprofit organization (2.97), mass media (2.96), citizens(2.96), and universities(2.89). The universities and colleges also should revise their strategic plans and thus restructure their internal academic programs, and must develop their own collaborative programs with Proton Engineering Frontier Project, related industries, city, and other government units. Not only educating, training, and providing top-notched man powers to the proton technology industries will be one of their primary missions.

Critical Drivers and Barriers of Corporate Social Responsibility in Saudi Arabia Organizations

  • Several studies demonstrate that Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is becoming a dominant issue in both research and companies' management due to stakeholders' pressure. The identification of internal and external drivers and barriers is an initial stage of the corporate social responsibility implementation. The study aims to identify and analyze the drivers and barriers of CSR in Saudi Arabia's private organizations. For this purpose, primary data were collected using a survey questionnaire that was administered to a representative sample of companies from different sectors in Saudi Arabia. The results show that the main drivers behind the adoption of CSR among Saudi companies are improvement of corporate image, ethical/moral commitment, and to some extend customers' requirements and risk management. The findings of this study also suggest that there are important barriers hindering the adoption of corporate social responsibility. Among these, the lack of management commitment and the lack of investors' interests together with the lack of economic resources and lack of employees' competencies are the most prominent. The findings of this study not only contribute to a deeper understanding of CSR drivers and barriers, but could also encourage firms' managers and stakeholders to improve CSR activities for more effective implementation.
