차별화된 호 처리 기법을 지원하는 SIP6 (SIP6 supporting the Differentiated Call Processing Scheme)

  • 본 논문에서는 NGN(Next Generation Network)을 고려하여 IPv6와 차별화된 호 처리 기법을 지원하는 SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) 프로토콜을 설계하고 구현하였다. NGN에서 다양한 응용 서비스들은 SIP를 통하여 호를 설정한다. 따라서, 소프트스위치(Softswitch) 및 SIP 서버는 호를 처리 할 때 팩스(Fax), 망 관리(Network Management), 홈 네트워킹(Home Networking)과 같이 호 설정 시간에 아주 민감한 서비스에 우선순위를 부여할 수 있어야 한다. 또한, ALL-IP를 고려하여 IPv6를 지원하여야 한다. 이러한 문제들을 해결하기 위해, 본 논문에서는 차별화된 호 처리 기법을 제안하였다. 차별화된 호 처리 기법은 우선순위에 따라 세 단계의 서비스품질을 사용하여, 호 처리에 대한 차별화 정책을 지원한다. 또한, 본 논문에서 정의된 서비스품질은 IPv6 헤더의 Flow Label 필드를 통하여 값을 설정한다. 성능분석 결과, SIP 서버 내에서 호가 처리 될 때 높은 우선순위를 가지는 호에 대한 처리율이 현저히 빠르게 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 NGN에서 호 설정 시간에 민감한 응용 서비스에 적용 할 경우, 호 설정 시간을 줄임으로서 응용 서비스의 성능을 향상시킬 수 있음을 증명한다.

  • 인터넷 트래픽 관리를 위한 IETF 차별화 서비스에서는 우선순위 방식의 가격정책이 널리 채택되고 있으며, 이러한 우선순위 방식의 서비스에서 최적가격을 정하기 위해 균형분석을 이용한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 그러나 '사용자들의 유틸리티 함수를 정확히 알고 있다'는 균형분석의 가정의 타당성에 대한 비판 또한 끊이지 않는다. 따라서 이 논문은 최적가격을 정하는 문제에 있어서, 현존하는 이론적인 연구의 기본 가정과 사용자 유틸리티 함수를 알 수 없는 현실적인 네트워크 환경과의 차이를 좁힐 수 있는 해결책을 제시하고자 한다. 기본 아이디어는 네트워크 서비스 제공자가 서비스 레벨의 가격을 조정하여 사용자들의 레벨 선택 결정을 바꾸도록 유도하고 그를 통해 더 정확한 유틸리티 정보를 알아내도록 하자는 것이다. 이 연구의 공헌은 크게 두 가지로 볼 수 있다. 첫째, 사용자 유틸리티 함수를 추정해나가는 일반적인 원리를 제시하였다 둘째, 유틸리티 함수에 대한 정보를 최대한으로 끌어낼 수 있도록 하는 가격을 정하는 방법을 개발하였다. 우리는 실험을 통해 제안된 추정법의 효과적인 성능을 보여준다.

Research Trends in Agenda-setting for Climate Change Adaptation Policy in the Public Health Sector in Korea

  • Many studies have been conducted to assess the health effects of climate change in Korea. However, there has been a lack of consideration regarding how the results of these studies can be applied to relevant policies. The current study aims to examine research trends at the agenda-setting stage and to review future ways in which health-related adaptation to climate change can be addressed within national public health policy. A systematic review of previous studies of the health effects of climate change in Korea was conducted. Many studies have evaluated the effect of ambient temperature on health. A large number of studies have examined the effects on deaths and cardio-cerebrovascular diseases, but a limitation of these studies is that it is difficult to apply their findings to climate change adaptation policy in the health sector. Many infectious disease studies were also identified, but these mainly focused on malaria. Regarding climate change-related factors other than ambient temperature, studies of the health effects of these factors (with the exception of air pollution) are limited. In Korea, it can be concluded that studies conducted as part of the agenda-setting stage are insufficient, both because studies on the health effects of climate change have not ventured beyond defining the problem and because health adaptation to climate change has not been set as an important agenda item. In the future, the sharing and development of relevant databases is necessary. In addition, the priority of agenda items should be determined as part of a government initiative.

문화중심형 공공디자인의 전략프로그래밍 지원모델 개발에 관한 연구 - 프로토타입 단계 설정을 중심으로- (A Study on the Strategy Programming Model for the Culture-Centered Public Design - Focus on the Prototype Phases -)

  • One of 21st century's main paradigms is a 'Culture', and people started to express their 'cultural desires and demands' regarding public environments. Accordingly central and local governments are paying attention to these demands from their citizens and trying to establish the policies to meet these needs. This research is done to suggest the strategy programming model to support the executions of culture-centered public designs which are based on the local resources and identities. The entire research contains three sub-topics. First topic is setting the prototype phases of strategy programming. Second topic is analyzing the associated indices for each prototype phase. Third topic is suggesting Matrix Model in which the prototype phases and their associated indices are linked. Among three topics, this paper deals with the first one - the prototype phases of strategy programming. It studies this subject in relation with Place Marketing which emphasizes the local resources and identities. The prototype phases are comprised of 3 steps for Place Strategy and 4 steps for Marketing Strategy. Place Strategy should be considered prior to Marketing Strategy because in culture-centered public design, locality has priority over other concerns. The phases for Place Strategy includes 'Resource_analyzing of local resources', 'Mission_setting a purpose', and 'Targeting_segmenting target groups'. The phases for Marketing Strategy involves 'Organization_instituting the main body and/or partnership', 'Image Positioning_setting an unique local image', 'Point_realizing the product', and 'Channel_deciding the sales promotion tools'.

홈 헬스케어를 위한 온톨로지 기반 상황인지 플랫폼의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of an Ontology-based Context-Aware Platform for Home Healthcare)

  • This paper proposes an ontology-based context-aware home healthcare platform employing environmental factors obtained from home. The proposed platform manages the health of home residents, and notifies relatives or a medical team of critical condition through context-awareness based on home ontology by using information sensed from various sensors. The ontology definition of context-awareness from the sensed information provides technically more precise decision for us. Therefore the platform can be aware of the health state of residents and environment by reasoning exactly from data gathered from various sensors and heterogeneous devices. The platform also can individually provide the customized service for users by setting priority for critical status that can be occurred in the health state of residents.

공공시설에 대한 주민의식과 가상평가에 관한 연구 -문화회관을 중심으로 - (Deriving Residents' Perception on Public Facilities through the Contingent Valuation Method: focusing on Cultural Center)

  • This study tests the effectiveness of residents' direct evaluation method about the feasibility of cost of public facilities based on their willingness to pay. The main findings are follows. First, residents do not use the public facilities(Cultural Center and Library) frequently. The main reasons are the shortage of complemental supplies, low accessibility, and poor communication to public. Second, the Contingent Valuation Method(CVM) reveals the residents' unwillingness to pay for facilities by agreeing only 46.8% on the cultural center. Third, this study concludes that the CVM is an effective method to measure willingness to pay for public facilities and also an useful tool to aid priority setting in urban planning.

  • Most implementations of HTTP servers do not distinguish among requests for hypermedia data from different clients. Commercialization of Web site is becoming increasingly common. Therefore providing quality of service with members paying to the site is often an important issue for the hosts. For some uses, such as web prefetching or multiple priority schemes, different levels of service are desirable. We propose server-side TCP connection management mechanisms to provide two different levels of Web service, high and regular levels by setting different timeout for inactive connection. Therefore this mechanism can effectively provide different service classes even in the absence of operating system and network support.

  • In service industries, it is very hard to transform the quantified factor into qualified one. Nowadays, however, service industries employee various methods developed by the academic society to manage effectively. Therefore, we have focused our research on QFD that is applied to improve the flow of execution in customer complains in Air Lines which can be considered as the representation of Service Industries. QFD is a method of developing new service with response to the demand from customer thanks to the application of QFD. In this paper we decide the priority of the department for executing the customer service of Air Lines. After setting up the relations among departments, we analyze the problems caused by the contact between customers and departments.

  • The government had invested national resources in nano technology actively since 2000 to promote the R&D of nano technology. In addition, the government reorganized the science and technology administration system recently enacting new laws related with science and technology to promote the efficient policy of science and technology. At this point, we need to understand the status of national R&D expenditures for the efficient priority setting and budget coordination of national R&D expenditures by the concerned variables such as program objectives, sector of performance, character of work and technology fields and suggests the policy implications.

  • This paper presents a method which can select optimal nodes to reduce harmonics by using ANP. First, we measured harmonics for the real distribution system and Tried to Analyze It. Second, we designed filters to reduce harmonics. Third, we composed each clusters and calculated it to select optimal nodes based on ANP. We a lied it to the distribution system, and deduce most advantageous method in many technical and economical among harmonic decrease measures. We proved the adequacy and usefulness of the result.
