In this paper, we propose a new smoothing method for removing moire patterns using analysis of halftone patterns interference. The proposed method can determine a strength of moire patterns by using gray values of pixels and the size of smoothing mask for moire region is adjusted adaptively according to the strength of moire patterns. Therefore it can remove moire patterns effectively and preserve meaningful high frequencies well, such as edges and textures. The proposed method only refer to predefined lookup table to determine the strength of moire patterns, so it is more efficient than a previous work based on FFT of subblock. It could be applied to field of various multimedia applications that deal with color prints.

Fluid inclusion and stable isotope studies on the Sangdong tungsten skarn have led to a conclusion that the mineralizing fluids might be derived from a magma, which was inferred within 1km below the present Sangdong ore deposit. Mineral assemblages of the skarns appear to have formed under the equilibrium conditions as the fluids flow outward from a central fluid column, in which the quatz-mica occurs dominantly. A characteristic skarn showing mineralogical zonation by repeated over-prints. The quartz-mica zone at the central part of the Sangdong skarns shows the final stage of protracted fluid evolution. Thermodynamic conclusion based on simplified chemical compositions of major components may express quantitatively the conditions of the skarn formation by using diagrams.

The women's roles In 21s1 century in Korea is increasing as the industry, economy is growing and changing rapidly; thus raising the necessity and importance of early learning. Naturally the importance and needs of children's day-care center is increasing both in quantitative and quality matters, there needs for much improvements. This study selected 8 workshop day-care centers in Seoul area, where most day-care centers are located, and analyzed interior spaces; thus presenting the appropriate model of interior space in child day-care center. Starting with, examining theologically, this study focused on the history of child day-care center and the 8 selected day-care centers in Seoul. By analyzing the operation status, blue prints, and picture, this study focused on improving the interior spaces in day-care centers. The presented improvement in spaces are the fellowing, First, half of day-care centers in workshops had independent buildings and most were multi-storey building. Second, running status vary. The open hours and number of teachers were fine but the budgets ratio of the employer and the worker ratio needed improvements. Third, there is need for detailed more improvement In managing area, educational area, and service area. It recommendable for spaces of day-care centers in workshops to be a single-storey building with managing and service space placed In center with educational rooms on each sides, with single hall way.

The effects of roll diameter, winding time, winding methods and relative humidity on curl In newsprints(46$g/m^2$, 54 $g/m^2$, and 54 $g/m^2$ SNC) are examined. The larger MD curl appears at smaller roll diameter, with the extension of winding time, and at the treat ment of soft nip calendering. The MD curl shows the back side curl at winding methods with top side as outer side(TSO), and the top side curl with top side as inner side(TSI). While the CD curl in newsprints( 46 $g/m^2$, and 54 $g/m^2$ SNC) treated with calender is hardly influenced by the storage times, roll diameter, and winding methods. However the CD curl in newsprint(54 $g/m^2$) gradually increases to a two weeks, and then hold constant regardless of roll diameter and winding methods.. The CD curl shows always the top side curl regardless of winding methods. At high relative humidity, the CD curl largely reduces, but the MD curl is not nearly changed. Especially, the CD curl in news-prints(54 $g/m^2$ SNC) is little affected by the changes of relative humidity.

As the population of consumers of outdoor wear expands, there is increasing interest among consumers in trendy lifestyle outdoor. Accordingly, it is essential to develop designs that are drawn from outdoor wear. This can be limited to traditional mountaineering suits, and designs developed from men's outdoor zip-up T-shirts, which are highly utilized in everyday life, are very important. This study developed the design of a summer zip-up T-shirt for men with both functional and aesthetic qualities. Visual images of foreign brands and domestic outdoor-focused T-shirts from the spring/summer seasons of 2013-2019 were collected to analyze the following modeling elements: silhouettes, details, colors, materials, and prints. In addition, the design concept was derived by analyzing presentations from the global outdoor trade Fairs (2013-2019). To develop a sustainable eco-friendly outdoor summer T-shirt for men, the concept was derived according to three categories: eco-friendly, sportism-expressed active elements of sports, and an outro-concept of urban town wear as an outdoor lifestyle. Thus, a total of 12 styles of design were developed. High utilization of the outdoor wear T-shirts (which are also popular as lifestyle wear), is an important aspect of building a segmented lineup of the slow-growing outdoor wear market and supports expansion of the scope of theoretical research on outdoor wear design.

Hawaiian textile art has inspired artists and fashion designers worldwide and accounts for the high value of vintage Hawaiian apparel as collectibles. Other than tropical designs, a large portion of the textile art showcased the ethnic diversity of Hawai'i. In the 1800s, Hawai'i attracted immigrants from all over Asia, and the majority of Hawaii's residents today claim Asian ethnicity. This ethnic mix was made visible in textiles, a trend championed by Alfred Shaheen, an apparel manufacturer who loved Asian designs. He was committed to the celebration of cultural diversity at a time when Hawai'i was rapidly westernizing. The team of Asian textile artists he led created textile designs based on motifs and imagery from Asia. Shaheen's passionate vision led to the unique textiles produced in the 'golden age' of Hawaiian textiles, from 1940 through the 1960s. Alfred Shaheen has been called "Hawaii's Master Printer" and has been credited for turning Hawaiian textiles into art. The author's interviews with Mr. Shaheen were conducted over a decade, and form the basis for this paper in which Shaheen's own words are used to discuss his use of textile art in the transformation of the Hawaiian textiles and garment industry.

The analysis results of the characteristics of children's clothes for school girls from the 2006S/S-2010S/S collections reveal that the most frequent type of item composition was 2'PS & 3'PS. T-shirts were the popular kind of item for upper garments and pants for lower garments. The major silhouettes were H and A line. The predominant neckline was U, which was followed by camisole and V. The major collar styles were stand-up and flat. Chromatic colors were used more than achromatic ones and after white the most popular colors were blue, pink, red, black, navy, and green. The dominant color scheme was a two-color or three-color scheme. The percentage of solid and patterned material garments was the highest and the most popular pattern was flowers. The most popular style of garment had no decorative detail that was followed by one-item, two-item, and three-item decoration. The major kinds of decorative detail were frills, pleats, and prints.

The purpose of this study was to design the ideal student uniform for improving the university image which is related to ideal PR (Public Relations). The results of this study were as follows: Firstly, as for the matter of UIP(University Identity Program), the uniform must transfer the university image. Using the UIP symbol color, the uniform is harmonious with university environment, and should be properly expressed visual image of the university. Secondly, the symbol which expressed the tradition and the spirit of the university was the very important factor to transfer its unique university identity and image of the university in the uniform design. The symbol which comes from the character or textile prints of the university symbolic flower or animals should transfer the consistent and unique design of university identity. Thirdly, the uniform has to be designed considering of the fashion trend as well as the essential factors for the uniform, considering such as functional, beautiful, symbolic aspects. In designing the uniform, fashion trend should be considered to combine the students and the uniform users to be one. As mentioned above, the uniform design which is suggested on this study should be helpful for the improvement of the university status and the reinforcement of the university PR.

The main purpose of this paper was to investigate how ethnic dresses are adopted into modern fashion designs. This research focuses on Japan and Vietnam as a part of an ongoing larger project which examines ethnic dresses of five Asian countries. Fashion designs with influences of Japanese and Vietnames ethnic dresses were anlayzed in order to explore how ethnic dresses coexist with "world fashion" in contemporary society. Eight fashion magazines were examined and the pictures of eigher Japanese or Vietnamese influences were identified. A total of 66 pictures for Japan and 5 for Vietnam were analyzed in terms of eleven characteristics on zero-to-three scales according to authenticity of each characteristic. The characteristics included shape, item, silhouette, color, material, textile print, decorative details, method of dressing, accessories, hairstyle and make-up. The results showed that textile prints and color of Japanese ethnic dresses, and item, silhouette and hat of Vietnamese dresses were most frequently adopted in modern fashion designs. These suggested that fashion world adopts the most distinctive and easy-to-copy characteristics of the ethnic dresses when the designers wanted to incorporate the styles of ethnic dresses.c dresses.

A video-work story analysis system based on emotional state measurement includes a content provision unit which provides story content of a video-work, a display unit which displays content provided by the content provision unit, an emotional state measurement unit which measures a tense-relaxed emotional state of a viewer viewing the displayed story content, a story pattern analysis unit which analyzes the tense-relaxed emotional state measured from the emotional state measurement unit according to a scene in the story content provided by the content provision unit, and a story pattern display unit which prints out an analysis result or displays the analysis result as an image. The emotional state measurement unit measures a tense or relaxed emotional state through one or more analyses among a brainwave analysis, a vital sign analysis, or an ocular state analysis. A writer may obtain support in an additional scenario modification work, and an investor may obtain support in making a decision through the above description. Furthermore, the video-work story analysis system and analysis method based on emotional state measurement may extract a particular pattern with respect to a change in an emotional state of a viewer, compile statistics, and analyze a correlation between a story and an emotional state.
