An investigation of the ejector-jets focusing on its flow properties was carried out by varying the geometric parameters. The area ratio of the primary nozzle, AR that was tested in the present measurement was 2.17 and 3.18, while the ratio of the length to the diameter of the duct downstream the primary nozzle inlet, L/D had values of 3.41, 6.82, and 10.23. For the frame work of flow characteristics, the wall pressures distribution of ejector-jet was investigated by experiment for basic study of ejector-jet performance. In result, terminal shock location and existence of series of oblique shocks are recognized. In this study, CFD analysis was conducted at the same time. And as a result of comparison experiment data with CFD analysis, the physical phenomena of ejector-jets were estimated.
Experimental studies on the characteristics of annular jet pump were carried out in this paper. The effects of high pressure chamber on the characteristics of annular jet pump were sought in this paper. Experiments were done for three shapes of high pressure chamber, and for several lengths of the high pressure chamber. Three types of the high pressure chamber's entrances($90^{\circ}$ single inflow, $45^{\circ}$ single inflow, and $45^{\circ}$ double inflow) were tested. Water was used for both the primary fluid and secondary fluid. The results obtained in this study are as follows; $45^{\circ}$ double inflow type is the most effective among the tested three types of the high pressure chamber's entrances. The efficiency of jet pump with 400mm of high pressure chamber length is the highest among the chamber lengths tested in this study, thus indicating appropriate chamber length is required to get an efficient jet pump.

The thrust vector control using a fluidic counterflow concept is achieved by applying a vacuum to a slot adjacent to a primary jet which is shrouded by a suction collar. The vacuum produces a secondary reverse flowing stream near the primary jet. The shear layers between the two counterflowing streams mix and entrain mass from the surrounding fluid. The presence of the collar inhibits mass entrainment and the flow near the collar accelerates causing a drop in pressure on the collar. For the vacuum asymmetrically applied to one side of the nozzle, the jet will vector toward the low-pressure region. The present study is performed to investigate the effectiveness of thrust vector control using the fluidic counterflow concept. A computational work is carried out using the two-dimensional, compressible Navier-Stokes equations, with several kinds of turbulence models. The computational results are compared with the previous experimental ones. It is found that the present fluidic counterflow concept is a viable method to vector the thrust of a propulsion system.

In order to design a shear coaxial injector of solid particles with water, basic experiments on a particle laden jet are necessary. The purpose of the present study is to understand the effect of particle loading ratio on the particle spray characteristics (i.e. spreading angle, distribution of particle number density, velocity profiles, and particle developing region length). Hydro-reactive Al2O3 particles with a primary particle diameter of 35~50 ${\mu}m$ are used in this experiment. An automated particle feeder was designed to supply constant particle mass flowrates. Air is used as the carrier gas. To determine the air velocity at the orifice exit, tracers (aluminum oxide, 0.5~2 ${\mu}m$ primary diameter) are also supplied by a tracer feeder. A plain orifice type injector with 3 mm diameter, and 20 mm length was adopted. Particle image velocimetry is used to measure the mean and fluctuating velocity components along the axial and radial directions.
For the purpose of a cost effective design of practical subsonic/supersonic ejector systems, an experiment was carried out using a superheated steam as a primary driving flow. The superheated steam jet was produced by several different kinds of subsonic and supersonic nozzles. The secondary flow of atmospheric air inside a plenum chamber was drawn into the primary steam jet. The vacuum performance of the plenum chamber was investigated for a wide range of the ejector operation pressure ratio. The result showed that the static pressure of the mixed flow at the ejector throat is only a function of the ejector operation pressure ratio, regardless of the primary nezzle type employed.
The jet pump can be used in a test device of a nuclear reactor for high flow amplification as it reduces inlet flow requirement and thereby size of the process components. In the present work, a miniature jet pump was designed to meet high flow amplification greater than 3. Subsequently, experiments were carried out using a test setup for design validation and performance evaluation of the jet pump for different parameters. It was observed that a minimum pressure of 0.6 bar (g) was required for the secondary fluid inside the jet pump to ensure cavitation free performance at high amplification. Spacing between the nozzle tip and the mixing chamber entry point had significant effect on the performance of the jet pump. Variation in primary flow, temperature and area ratio also affected the performance. It was observed that at high flow amplification, the analytical solution differed significantly from experimental results due to very large velocities encountered in the miniature size jet pump.
Experimental studies on the characteristics of annular jet pump were carried out in this paper. Jet pump can be used widely for the transportation of solid materials, farm produce and fishes. The effects of high pressure chamber on the characteristics of annular jet pump were sought in this paper. Experiments were done for three shapes of high pressure chamber, and for several lengths of the high pressure chamber. Three types of the high pressure chamber's entrances($90^{\circ}$ single inflow, $45^{\circ}$single inflow, and $45^{\circ}$ double inflow) were tested. Water was used for both the primary fluid and secondary fluid. The results obtained in this study are as follows; $45^{\circ}$double inflow type is the most effective among the tested three types of the high pressure chamber's entrances. The efficiency of jet pump with 400mm of high pressure chamber length is the highest among the chamber lengths tested in this study, thus indicating appropriate chamber length is required to get an efficient.
Recently, fluidic thrust vectoring methods have been preferably employed to control the movement of propulsive systems due to relatively simpler design and lower cost than mechanical thrust vectoring methods. For An application of the thrust vectoring to flight bodies, it is necessary to understand very complicated exhaust flows which are often subject to shock waves and boundary layer separation. But researches for the thrust vector control using counterflow have been few. In the present study, experiments have been performed to investigate the characteristics of supersonic jets controlled by a thrust vectoring method using counterflow. The primary jet is expanded through a two-dimensional primary nozzle shrouded by collars, and is deflected by the suction of the air near nozzle into an upper slot placed between the primary nozzle and the upper collar. A shadowgraph method is used to visualize the supersonic jet flowfields. Primary nozzle pressure ratios and suction nozzle pressure ratios are varied from 3.0 to 5.0, and from 0.2 to 1.0 respectively. The present experimental results showed that, for a given primary nozzle pressure ratio, a decrease in the suction nozzle pressure ratio produced an increased thrust vector angle. As the suction nozzle pressure ratios were increased and decreased, the hysteresis of the thrust vectoring was observed through the wall pressure distributions
