Angle concepts have a multifaceted nature such as quantitative aspects as the amount of rotation, qualitative aspects as geometric shapes, and relationship aspects made with planes or lines. This study analysed angle concepts and introduction methods of angles in elementary mathematics textbooks which have been used from the Syllabus Period to the 2015 Revised Mathematics Curriculum. First, the concepts of angles in mathematics textbooks focus through the definitions, representations, and components of angles presented in mathematics textbooks are analyzed. Secondly, how various aspects of each angle are sequenced through the tasks or activties in the introduction of lesson is looked. As a result of analysis, the methods of introducing angles in the changes of mathematics textbooks have mainly focused on learning about geometric shapes and relations of components. In the mathematics classroom, students should experience various aspects of geometric shapes, rotations, relational aspects of points, lines and surfaces, and support and link them to form a wide range of concepts.
This study was intented as an investigation of the employment process into UAE for Korean and overseas sonographers to understand requirements for working abroad in regards to primary education curriculum and employment expansion abroad. A total of 10 candidates are selected who were working together with a job title of a cardiac sonographer in the same department under one hospital in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The candidates had clinical experience over 2 years in other countries after graduation and for 1 year at least in UAE. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, a web search and literature reviews. We analyzed the process regarding their curriculums studying in colleges, educational courses and certificates related medical fields. The findings were created with four essential themes: first, there are specific colleges or diploma courses corresponding academic major in United states, Portugal, Turkey, India and Pakistan. Secondly, healthcare professions were systemized by certifying as a specialist relevant medical fields. Thirdly, it is mandatory to be employed in UAE that are clinical experience for 2 years at least after graduation of specific courses. Lastly, It is required to work in UAE that is a license of healthcare authority under each state by taking a national examination or transferring own certificates to a current license in UAE. In conclusion, the results indicate that employing process for healthcare professionals depends on the educational requirements or clinical experience accumulated due to the various systems to be certified in each country. We believe that this study suggests experimental information for Korean job seekers considering working abroad in the medical ultrasound fields.

Conclusions: It is necessary to determine a way to manage the oral health of university students. In addition, voluntary participation of universities to improve oral health of university students is desirable. It is also necessary to establish national health policies and a national health care education curriculum for university students.
In global advanced countries, various efforts about maker education with maker-space into the formal education has been made. However, in Korea, the physical infrastructure and instructional supports for the maker education in connection with K-12 curriculum are insufficient. Therefore, this study aims to suggest how to promote maker education in domestic K-12 education field by examining best practices of maker education in the globe. To achieve the objective, 7 best practices, which consist of 3 cases led by a government-driven policy, 2 cases initiated by world-class universities, and 2 cases made by international schools, are examined and analyzed. As a result, the recommendations to integrate and promote maker education into the K-12 school level in Korea in terms of 3 different perspectives, the policies which government should consider, the efforts and considerations the institutions should be made, and the roles teachers and instructors play were drawn.
Our society is developing exponentially, but schools are not keeping up with the pace of society's development, and they are not providing digital literacy education suitable for the growth and development of students. Thus, this study identified the actual conditions and problems of digital literacy education at school sites and sought the direction of development of digital literacy education. By identifying the current state of schools in which the 2015 curriculum is operated, we sought the direction of the development of digital literacy education for our school. First, old digital devices should be replaced, laptops or smart devices should be provided for each student, and internet access should be available throughout the school. Second, digital literacy education should be provided to teachers by providing various training opportunities.Third, coding education where you can express what you think as logical thinking, Software training should increase the level of the algorithmic domain that shows the computational thinking process of discovering problems and automating a given problem into a computer programming language, there is enough robot that can be seen operating the program, digital parish will need to be delivered.
Despite the necessity and significance of mathematical competencies in the 2015 revised mathematics curriculum, there has been lack of studies analyzing textbooks in which such competencies are intended in detail through various tasks. Given this background, this paper analyzed how mathematical competencies and their sub-elements have been represented in the mathematics textbooks for third and fourth grade. The findings of this study showed that 'communication' was the most prevalent mathematical competence, followed by 'reasoning', 'creativity and integration', 'information processing', 'attitude and practice', and 'problem solving' in order. This study also explored the characteristics of mathematical competencies in the textbooks by analyzing which sub-elements per competence were popular. With illustrative examples, this paper is expected to provide for textbook developers with implications on how to represent mathematical competencies throughout the textbooks.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of AI convergence education program. To this end, the "Elementary Science AI Convergence Education Program for Machine Learning" developed in previous research were taught to elementary school students in the fourth to sixth grades in eight times. The quantitative changes of each factor were analyzed by R program, and the effectiveness of education was analyzed by Pearson correlation and paired samples t-test. As a result, there is a deep correlation between "Attitude to AI technology, Scientific preference and STEAM Literacy" and technical average has improved in many factors. Therefore, AI convergence education program is meaningful in terms of education, and if AI education and AI convergence education are implemented into the primary formal education curriculum, they will have a positive effect.
In this study, the vocabularies in elementary mathematics textbooks for grade 1-2 were analyzed according to 9-degree of semantic system. Also, the types of vocabulary were analyzed using general academic words, mathematics specific concept words, and mathematics general concept words. As a result, percentages of 1-degree and 2-degree vocabulary was the most in both grade 1 and 2 mathematics textbooks. It also shows that some of general academic words were 3-degree vocabulary and some of mathematics specific concept words were either unregistered or 1-degree vocabulary. In particular, general academic words, which are 3-degree vocabulary, may be unfamiliar to 1st and 2nd grade students. Therefore, students should be given the opportunity to guess and understand the contextual meaning of general academic words from the given contexts in textbooks. The frequency of use of mathematics general concept words in grade 2 textbook increased significantly compared to grade 1 textbook. Since mathematics general concept words are academic and technical vocabulary they should be taught explicitly. Based on the results of this study, implications for vocabulary instruction in mathematics textbooks were discussed.
Nominalization is one of the grammatical metaphors, and it is the representation of verbal meaning through noun equivalent phrases. In mathematical word problems, texts using nominalization have both the advantage of clarifying the object to be noted in the mathematization stage, and the disadvantage of complicating sentence structure, making it difficult to understand the sentences and hindering the experience of the full steps in mathematical modelling. The purpose of this study is to analyze word problems in the textbooks from the perspective of nominalization, a linguistic element, and to derive implications in relation to students' difficulties during solving the word problems. To this end, the types of nominalization of 341 word problems from the content domain of 'Numbers and Operations' of elementary math textbooks according to the 2015 revised national curriculum were analyzed in four aspects: grade-band group, main class and unit assessment, specialized class, and mathematical expression required word problems. Based on the analysis results, didactical implications related to the linguistic expression of the mathematical word problems were derived.

Dongje school (同濟學校), alternately Dongje medical school, is generally recognized as the first modern school for Korean medicine. However, there is very limited information concerning its establishment, duration period, governance, location, and contents for teaching. We found several points which are different from popular opinions through investigating news articles of those days and maps. Dongje school has established on June 1, 1906 and the time of its discontinuance is not clear. The school was founded with the cooperation of three former government officials of the Korean Empire, Eungse Lee (李應世), Piljoo Kang (姜弼周), and Dongho Cho (趙東浩) and many people donated fund for supporting Dongje school. However, there is no evidence of national or royal expenditures for operating the school. Dongje school has been established in 76-6, Seohak hill (西學峴), Yeogyeong-bang (餘慶坊), West county (西署), Seoul and moved to Naesum-si (內贍寺) located in Bongsangsi front village (奉常寺前門洞), Indal-bang (仁達坊), West county, at September 1906. The curriculum of the school comprehends several disciplines including literature in Korean and Chinese, mathematics, foreign language, physics, and Western medicine, as well as Korean medicine. Particularly at that time, they thought both of women and men. To elucidate the issue of the governance of Dongje school regarding the national or royal establishment, more information and extensive studies should be needed.
