  • This paper proposes an arc fault circuit interrupter (AFCI) using the distorted voltage wave in electric arc faults. It perceives a voltage instantaneously at the time of voltage drop. and occurrence. It is an AFCI of the new concept which operates with high reliability. The primary reason of electric fire is arc and spark. It prevents an electric fire or an electric leakage accident with quick responsiveness. Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker(ELB), Molded_case Circuit Breaker (MCCB) or Residual Current Protective Device(RCD) can not cut off electric arc or spark to be a major factor of electrical fire. This theory will be able to intercept an arc or a spark. which occurrence with periodic. Consequently It raises a reliability and validates a practicality of RCD.

  • This paper deals with a 300kV dc charging system to be used ?s a voltage source in a circuit breaker synthetic short-circuit-test facility. Cockcroft-walton circuit is used to step up the rectified voltage from a single phase transformer of which primary winding is hooked up to an ac220 wall plug. Two systems with the same ratings have been designed and manufactured. The two system have been made of different supporting structure with different insulating materials. The paper describes a couple of charging schemes, system configurations and the synthetic test circuit in which the developed system is to be used.

  • This paper introduces a high efficiency bidirectional resonant converter using an additional LC auxiliary circuit for dcdistribution applications. The LC auxiliary circuit operates as a variable inductor and the additional LC circuit helps to increase the effective magnetizing inductance, thereby reducing the turn-off and primary circulating current. A 5 kW bidirectional converter for dc-distribution system is implemented to verify the validity of the proposed method. The experimental results show the high efficiency characteristics of the proposed converter over the wide range of load in both direction of power flow. The maximum efficiency of the proposed system was 98.1 % at 3 kW.

  • This paper describes design and characteristic analysis of long primary type linear synchronous motor (LSM) for high speed train system. LSM is designed using loading distribution method and magnetic equivalent circuit. For characteristic analysis of LSM, analytical and numerical methods are applied. Analytical method for solving the magnetic field distribution of the analytic model is based on the Maxwell’s equations. Using the characteristic equation and magnetic equivalent circuit, we analyze the effect of variation of parameters, and then we validate the result by comparing with numerical method by finite element method (FEM). We compare the analytical method with numerical method for analyzing the effect by variable parameters. This result will be useful of design and forecast of performance without FEM.

  • A new planar transformer type energy recovery circuit for PDP is proposed in this paper. The same current is transferred through both the primary and secondary sides during the energy recovery period. The conduction loss is reduced. Fabrication through simple manufacturing processes is possible using the PCB winding.

  • This paper proposes the application of coreless PCB transformer to Half-Bridge (HB), Zero-voltage-Switched (ZVS) DC/DC converter for FPL lamp with electronic ballast in vehicle. The designed 5 coreless PCB transformers for ballast driving voltage are parallel-connected in primary windings and series-connected in secondary windings. Coreless PCB transformer is designed to have spiral winding in order to transfer higher energy. The computer simulations of the proposed power circuit show coreless PCB transformer to have good performance.

유헬스용 요분석기의 정색반응 시스템 개발 (Development of Primary Color Reaction System of Urine Analyzer for U-health)

  • 본 연구에서는 유헬스용 요분석기를 개발하기 위한 선행 연구로서 요분석 스트립의 색변화를 측정할 수 있는 정색반응 전자회로를 개발하였다. 정색반응 시스템은 컴퓨터, 정색반응 전자회로, 트레이장치, 센서조합체 및 소프트웨어로 구성하였다. 요분석 스트립의 색 변화를 측정하기 위하여 칼라센서가 사용되기 때문에, 표준 색상지를 이용하여 칼라센서의 측정값과 RGB값 사이의 선형방정식을 수립하였다. 빨간색(R)의 회귀방정식은 $Red=0.2414{\times}x$(센서 값) - 3.0042($R^2=0.9801$)로 나타났고, 녹색(G)의 회귀방정식은 $Green=0.2857{\times}x$(센서 값) - 6.4251($R^2=0.9868$)로 나타났고, 파란색(B)의 회귀방정식은 $Blue=0.2114{\times}x$(센서 값) - 6.2743($R^2=0.9837$)으로 나타났으므로 표준색상지와 칼라센서는 높은 상관관계가 있는 것을 알 수가 있었다. 정색반응 시스템을 검증하기 위하여 요 성분 중 적혈구, 빌리루빈, 우로빌리노겐, 케톤, 단백질의 5가지 성분에 대하여 각기 다른 농도로 표준시약을 제조하여 정색반응을 측정하였다. 각 시약의 농도에 따른 칼라센서의 정색반응 결과가 통계적으로 타당한 결과를 보였고 유헬스용 요분석기 개발에 적용할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

가상회선 서비스를 위해 보호 관리 기능을 갖는 사전 예약 프레임워크 (Advance Reservation Framework with Protection Management for Virtual Circuit Services)

  • 한국의 대표적 연구망인 KREONET은 사용자 가상회선 서비스를 위해 사전 예약 기반의 네트워크 서비스 에이전트인 DynamicKL 시스템을 개발하여 왔다. DynamicKL은 오픈 그리드 포럼 (OGF)에서 네트워크 자원 제어서비스를 위해 정의한 표준인 네트워크 서비스 인터페이스 (NSI) 및 그래픽 유저 인터페이스 (GUI)를 이용하여 예약, 할당, 해제, 종결, 조회 가상 회선 서비스를 제공한다. 또한 사용자에 의해 앞서 생성된 가상 회선과 예약들에게 가상회선 별로 보호 절체 관리 기능을 제공하기 위해 RICE 인터페이스를 갖는다. 본 논문은 DynamicKL 프레임워크 안에 구현된 가상회선 별 보호 절체 관리 기능을 가상 회선 서비스 관리 이슈 중 하나로 소개하고 이는 선진 연구망에서 개발한 다른 사전 예약 프레임워크 들과 비교하여 관리 및 안정성이 확보된 가상 회선 서비스를 제공하는데 기여한다. 관리자는 RICE 인터페이스를 사용하여 주회선 링크 장애시 백업 링크 안에 주 가상회선 들의 성공적인 보호 절체 유무 및 주회선 링크 복구 후 주회선 링크 내부에 주 가상회선 들의 성공적인 재생성 유무를 감지 할 수 있다.

층간 단락된 3상 몰드변압기의 소손 패턴 및 금속 조직 해석 (Analysis of the Damage Patterns and Metal Structure of 3 Phase Mold Transformers to which Interlayer Short-circuits have Occurred)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the damage patterns and metal structure of 3 phase mold transformers collected from places where accidents have occurred. Compared to an oil-immersed transformer, a mold transformer has the advantage of requiring a smaller installation area and can be kept clean, while its disadvantages include the fact that abnormal symptoms of an accident are difficult to discover and its repair is impossible. The capacity of the mold transformers collected from places where accidents have occurred was 200kVA with primary voltages being F23,900V, R22,900V, 21,900V, 20,900V, 19,900V, etc., as well as secondary voltages being 380V, 220V, etc. It was found from the analysis on the diffusion of combustion in the damaged mold transformers that fire occurred first inside the U-phase primary winding and that carbonization and heat were diffused to V-phase and W-phase in V-pattern. In addition, from the analysis on the cross-sectional structure of the metal of the melted high voltage winding using a metallurgical microscope, it was found that the boundary surface, voids, and columnar structure were formed when an interlayer short-circuit had occurred Therefore, even though it is not possible to find the cause for the occurrence of an interlayer short-circuit at the inner side of the primary winding, it is thought that, due to the thermal energy generated when the short-circuit occurred, the heat source was diffused to the upper side and outside, causing a secondary accident.

Coupled Inductor를 활용한 배전류 정류 회로를 적용한 LLC 직렬 공진 컨버터의 수식화 해석 (Mathematical Analysis of LLC Series Resonant Converter with Current Doubler Rectifier using Coupled Inductor)

  • This study proposes an LLC series resonant converter with a current doubler using a coupled inductor as a rectification circuit for the secondary side. The current doubler circuit is generally used for a high-voltage input and low-voltage output circuit to obtain high efficiency with small transformer turn ratio. However, an inductive circuit is not generally used in the secondary side of an LLC series resonant converter. If inductive components exist on the secondary side, the resonant characteristics are changed through the secondary inductive circuit. Mathematical analysis shows that the secondary-side current doubler with coupled inductor is not affected by the resonant characteristic of the primary LLC if leakage inductance occurs in the coupled inductor. Results of the analysis are proven by simulation; an experiment is also conducted for the proposed circuit.
