  • As the trade among the countries increases, domestic agriculture is facing a crisis. Especially domestic rice industry is suffering from the rice market opening problem and the domestic rice industry itself. As a counter measure against this, despite the promotion of the rice processing food industry, the export of rice processed food has decreased by an average annual rate of 12.3% since 2011 due to the lack of customized export strategy, such as low price competitiveness, insufficient quality and brand management. As a measure, we selected indicators to prioritize establishment of export strategy of rice processed food business and used AHP methodology to draw the weight for each indicators. The selection of export strategy prioritization indicator was based on the marketing mix theory, various previous research reviews and expert consulting. Five higher level indicators and nineteen detailed indicators were derived, and a weighted value of them was analyzed using a professional package. As a result, the relative importance of higher level indicators was 45.5% for product differentiation, 18.4% for management competence, 13.0% for export infrastructure, 12.0% for product pricing, and 11.1% for product distribution. The relative importance of the lower level indicators was 17.3% for product safety, 15.3% for product quality, 9.1% for management expertise, and 7.0% for product brand. This result is expected to be used as export strategy indicators of rice processed food export business.

  • Financial markets are characterized by large numbers of complex and interacting factors which are ill-understood and frequently difficult to measure. Mathematical models developed in finance are precise formulations of theories of how these factors interact to produce the market value of financial asset. While these models are quite good at predicting these market values, because these forces and their interactions are not precisely understood, the model value nevertheless deviates to some extent from the observable market value. In this paper we propose a framework for augmenting the predictive capabilities of mathematical model with a learning component which is primed with an initial set of historical data and then adjusts its behavior after the event of prediction.

  • Due to rapid developments of IT technologies, convergence services like IPTV (Internet protocol television) are shown up. Even though expert and customer had great expectations for this innovative service, commercialization was delayed for years by the legal dispute between industry players. One of the biggest problems was that whether internet backbone providers have to share their internet network backbone with IPTV service providers (which don't have network backbone) or not. As other countries, Korean government set the rules that ISP have to offer indiscriminate access to other IPTV service provider. At the same time, internet backbone providers can charge access charge based on cost by way of compensation. Thus access charge is very critical to the IPTV industry players. The objective of this paper is to provide model that can calculate the reasonable access charge by system dynamics, based upon real data in Korean telecommunication industry.

  • This paper analyze the fee structures of digital music contents and the revenue sharing ratios that are now on-going debates in Korean digital contents industry. Especially we consider Korean situation where copyrighters and telecom companies have conflict of interest. We found two major results. First, the choice between the flat rate scheme and the usage-based rate scheme is not important to telecom companies and copyrighters. The important thing is that copyrighters should decide the revenue sharing ratio and given that telecom companies should decide the retail price. Consequently, this way can lead to win-win solutions between them. Second, the flat rate scheme affects the relationship between consumers and telecom companies. Under the flat rate scheme, telecom companies have more benefits than consumers. In the vertical integrated structure, particularly, this tendency is more severe.

  • The development of POS (Point of Sales) systems for small retailers according to their needs is considered to be important to improve their competitive advantages. However, their financial statuses hinder the adoption of the tailored POS systems. Viewing ASP as a viable solution to provide tailored POS systems for the small retailers, this study develops ASP POS service models for the small retailers. First, this study elicits ASP POS requirements of the small retailers in the following areas: merchandising, pricing, store design and display, customer service, advertising and promotion and personal selling. Then, the requirements are clustered and the clusters are analyzed based on the characteristics of the retailers. Then, ASP service models are proposed according to the needs and profiles of the retailers.

  • We propose a noise reduced risk aversion index for measuring risk aversion through a laboratory experiment to overcome disadvantages of the multiple pricing list format developed by Holt and Laury (2002). We use randomized multiple list choices with coarser classification and reward weighting, supplement the rank of risk aversion with extra individual characteristics of risk attitude, and construct an index of risk aversion by standardizing the risk aversion ranking with quantile normalization. Our method reduces multiple switching problems that noisy decision makers mistakenly commit in experimental approaches, so that it is free of the framing effect which severely occurred in the HL. Furthermore, the index doesn't utilize any specific utility function or probability weighting, which allows researcher to hold the independence axiom. Since our noise reduced index of risk aversion has many good traits, it is widely used and applied to reveal fundamental characteristics of risk-related behaviors in economics and finance regardless of experimental environment.

First, in legal and institutional policy, new establishment by law for private security and more support from government is asked. Moreover, the restructuring or M&A between petty companies and the pricing for security service should be performed. Second, in the structural aspect of private security industry, the professional education center for private security guards should be established and the terms of payment and welfare should be improved to the level above standard. In addition, it should be achieved to change the public to have a new and correct understanding of private security and develope the specialized parts suited to the characteristic and ability of each companies.
