  • Cosmetics retailers would benefit from studies that examine which shopping-mall attributes can be manipulated to favorably affect consumer satisfaction and revisit intention at Internet. The purposes of this study were (1) to examine the dimensionality of shopping-mall attribute for cosmetics retailers, (2) to determine which dimensions of shopping-mall attribute were significant predictors of consumer satisfaction and revisit intention and (3) to find out the moderating effect of consumer satisfaction through shopping-mall attributes on revisit intention to buy cosmetics across the types of shopping-mall at Internet (i.e., total mall and specialty mall). Data were collected from 209 online cosmetic shoppers among high school girls. Factor analysis identified five dimensions of shopping-mall attributes at Internet, such as Convenience, Price, Loading speed, Sales promotion, and Service. Only two dimensions(i.e., convenience and service) were significant predictors of online shopper satisfaction in both total mall and specialty mall. The moderating effect of consumer satisfaction on revisit intention was significant in both two mall types at Internet. For total mall, price was a significant predictor through consumer satisfaction on revisit intention, while loading speed was a significant predictor directly on revisit intention for specialty mall. In light of the major findings, this study sets forth strategic implications for consumer satisfaction and revisit intention to buy cosmetics in the setting of electronic commerce.

  • This study is to analyze the effect of product involvement on consumer purchase process. From review on previous involvement literatures, enduring product involvement can be defined as "a person's arousal and motivational state activated by product on the basis of his basic value, objective and ego-relevance." To evaluate the effect of involvement on product purchase process, 11 hyphotheses concerning behavioral aspects which is expected to comprise consumer purchase process and to be influenced by degree of involvement were constructed: prepurchase information search, alternative brand comparision, utilization of product attribute, brand differentiation, brand commitment, product knowledge, influence of reference group, dependence on price, price awareness, cognitive dissonance and purchase optimization. Hyphotheses are tested with data from 388 housewives through 20 item involvement scale developed with multi-dimensional perspective on involvement. The scale successfully provides rank order of 8 selected products expected to cover the spectrum of product involvement: formal clothes, coffee, washing machine, shampoo, perfume, detergent, soft drink, pain-reliever as the order of product involvement. Major findings of this study are as follow. First of all, incresed differences were found in hihg involvement product like formal clothes with respect to the degree of prepurchase information search, alternative brand comparision, utilization of product attribute, influence of reference group in any method of analysis. Secondly, invlovement should be interpreted as a consumer characteristic rather than a product one. This means that consumers involve themselves with products, instead products themselves do not have any involvement.

  • Purpose - As the domestic coffee market is rapidly growing and competition is intensifying, coffee shops need to establish a marketing strategy that grasps the needs and desires of consumers in order to secure a competitive advantage in terms of survival. From this point of view, this study suggests what choice attributes consumers consider when visiting coffee shops, and analyzes the effect of customer choice attributes on franchise and private coffee shops using fsQCA. Research design, data, and methodology - In the present study, we tried to understand the effect of the combination of choice attribute on satisfaction by the type of coffee shop based on the complex system theory, while studying the existing coffee shop choice attribute focuses on the causal relationship. FsQCA is a complementary analytical method between quantitative and qualitative research, and is a method for effectively analyzing the complex combination of causal variables. Result - The results of the study are as follows. First, cleanliness was found to be the most important factor in determining coffee quality, which is the most important factor affecting customer satisfaction. Second, customers who prefer franchise coffee shops seem to be most concerned about atmosphere, menu, cleanliness and price. On the other hand, customers who prefer private coffee shops consider image the most important. Conclusions - The implications of this study are as follows. Overall, coffee shops should manage cleanliness basically regardless of the type of store, but they should manage the choice attributes differently depending on the type of coffee shop. Franchise coffee shops will be able to increase the level of store satisfaction by systematically managing the store atmosphere, menu, cleanliness, and price according to the manual using the advantages of the franchise system. On the other hand, unlike the franchise coffee shops, private coffee shops can operate autonomous stores, so customers can use various marketing mixes to enhance their store image.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine consumers increased interest pertaining to the structural elements of the triangular gimbap. Through an investigation of their importance by attribute and the attribute's partial value, the preference of the triangular gimbap was obitained. The survey was conducted with a panel of two hundred and one university students, from January 7, 2013 to January 14, 2013. In order to achieve an optimal production of the triangular gimbap, the survey consists of 8 profiles with an orthogonal design for cross-validity authorization and reliability of the model. The statistical data analyses use SPSS/WIN 20.0 for the conjoint analysis. The results of this study indicate that the triangular gimbap, with 30% brown rice, mixed stuffing, weight of 100 grams, and a price of 800 won was selected. It is an estimation that new customers will be attracted to the triangular gimbap that consists of a variety of rice and stuffing.

  • When measuring the value of environmental attributes of housing, the conventional Hedonic Pricing Method assumes market equilibrium. Thus each attribute is believed to be implicitly valued based on the market price. The revealed preference is the basic logic in this approach. However, if the participants in the housing market are not perfectly informed or feel vagueness regarding the attributes of the housing, the conventional Hedonic Pricing Approach could not provide relevant value of the attribute in question. A Fuzzy Regression Method is suggested to handle with the lack of information or preference uncertainty problem m the Hedonic Pricing Approach. In this paper, our main concern IS given to the fuzziness effect on the airport noise in the metropolitan areas of South Korea.

  • This paper suggests an integrated method based on concept ascension and attribute reduction for efficient induction of decision rules from a large database. We study an automatic scheme to generate concept trees by a clustering technique, a method for generalizing databases by the concept ascension technique, an optimal reduction method by means of attributes reduction using the sibmificance of attributes, and an efficient way of reduction of attribute values applying the discernible matrix and functions. The method can be used for the decision making tasks such as an investment planning or price evaluation, the construction of knowledge bases for diagnosis of defects or medical diagnosis, data analysis such as marketing or experimental data, information retrieval for high level inquiries, and so on.

Research design, data and methodology: To this end, efficient questionnaires of a total of 312 respondents who answered the questions about the importance of and the satisfaction with 20 selection attribute factors of eco-friendly foods were returned, and then, paired-samples t-test and IPA by all respondents, gender, age and incomes were conducted. Results: The analysis showed that a maintenance/reinforcement strategies planned by companies are required for some factors including 'safety' and 'product quality' at the first quadrant, while active improvement strategies are required for others including 'price' and 'flavor' at the second quadrant. Conclusions: The findings show that different marketing strategies should be established for each consumer who often purchase eco-friendly foods, and that more effective and efficient performance of eco-friendly food companies may be acquired by establishing and operating active improvement strategies.
