현장인발시험을 통한 가압 그라우팅 쏘일네일의 변형특성 (Deformation Characteristics of the Pressurized Grouting Soil Nailing Systems from the Field Pull-out Tests)

  • 본 연구에서는 PGSN(Pressurized Grouting Soil Nailing) 시스템이라는 가압 그라우팅 쏘일네일링 공법을 고안하였으며, 본 공법의 보강제의 길이변화 및 보강재의 변화 등의 설계인자에 따른 거동변화를 파악해 보기 위해 변위제어방식의 현장인발시험을 수행하였다. 본 연구에서 수행한 9차례의 현장인발시험에서 그라우트 주입비의 변화를 살펴 보기위해 계측을 수행하였으며, 단기거동특성을 평가하기 위해 일반 쏘일네일링 시스템과 비교해 보았다. 가압 그라우트 쏘일네일링 공법의 인발거동 특성을 통해, 중요한 설계인자인 주입압 및 그라우트 주입비 등의 영향을 살펴보았다. 시험 결과 가압효과에 따른 인발변형 특성은 중력식 그라우팅 쏘일네일에 비해 가압 그라우팅 쏘일네일의 경우 유발되는 변위량이 30~36% 정도 감소하였고, 보강재 변화에 따른 인발 특성을 살펴보면 이형철근에 비해 강관의 경우 유발되는 변위량이 31~32% 정도 감소하는 것으로 나타났다.

  • In Korea, most of the drinking water treatment relied upon the availability of the surface water, of which the raw water quality varied significantly by season and location. Therefore, the comparison of two operation modes (Pressurized type and Submerged type membrane system) must be estimated before the long-term establishment of two systems. In this study, two pilot-scale microfiltration systems with the capacity of $50m^3/day$ were installed and operated in two different modes, and the applicability of the system was determined based on the results such as the TMP (Trans-Membrane Pressure) and flux. For quantitatively comparing the two systems, a new concept, DRF (Differential Resistance Fraction) was introduced. The accumulated sum of the permeate after each cycle of chemical cleaning was also used as a tool for the system comparison.

Fatigue crack growth characteristics of nitrogen-alloyed type 347 stainless steel under operating conditions of a pressurized water reactor

  • The fatigue crack growth behavior of Type 347 (S347) and Type 347N (S347N) stainless steel was evaluated under the operating conditions of a pressurized water reactor (PWR). These two materials showed different fatigue crack growth rates (FCGRs) according to the changes in dissolved oxygen content and frequency. Under the simulated PWR conditions for normal operation, the FCGR of S347N was lower than that of S347 and insensitive to the changes in PWR water conditions. The higher yield strength and better corrosion resistance of the nitrogen-alloyed Type 347 stainless steel might be a main cause of slower FCGR and more stable properties against changes in environmental conditions.

  • If the hydrogen industry is activated, the introduction of C-type and pressurized liquefied hydrogen (LH2) tank suitable for small and medium-sized transp- ortation and storage will be given priority in the future. Therefore in this paper, the behavior for the LH2 property changes and boil-off gas (BOG) treatment of the C-type cargo tank through voyage of the LH2 carrier and pressurized tank of the LH2 receiving terminal were analyzed through computational simulations by making assumptions about the carrier operation and unloading conditions.

Reliability analysis of anti-seismic stability of 3D pressurized tunnel faces by response surfaces method

  • The limit analysis and response surfaces method were combined to investigate the reliability of pressurized tunnel faces subjected to seismic force. The quasi-static method was utilized to introduce seismic force into the tunnel face. A 3D horn failure mechanism of pressurized tunnel faces subjected to seismic force was constructed. The collapse pressure of pressurized tunnel faces was solved by the kinematical approach. The limit state equation of pressurized tunnel faces was obtained according to the collapse pressure and support pressure. And then a reliability model of pressurized tunnel faces was established. The feasibility and superiority of the response surfaces method was verified by comparing with the Monte Carlo method. The influence of the mean of soil parameters and support pressure, variation coefficients, distribution type and correlation of c-φ on the reliability of pressurized tunnel faces was discussed. The reasonable safety factor and support pressure required by pressurized tunnel faces to satisfy 3 safety levels were presented. In addition, the effects of horizontal seismic force, vertical seismic force and correlation of kh-kv on the reliability of pressurized tunnel faces were also performed. The method of this work can give a new idea for anti-seismic design of pressurized tunnel faces.

자성형 급기공을 갖는 외부가압 공기베어링의 섭동압력측정에 관한 연구 (Measurement of Perturbed Pressures under Inherently Compensated Restrictors in Externally Pressurized Air Bearings)

  • In this study, steady state and perturbed pressures are experimentally measured under inherently compensated restrictors in externally pressurized air bearings. A piezo actuator is used for simulating small displacement perturbation in the air film. The pressures under the restrictors are measured by a miniature type pressure transducer and the height of the air film is measured by capacitance type gap sensors developed by Chapman's method. The perturbed pressure is obtained through Fourier transformation of the two signals. The measured perturbed pressures are in good agreement with the calculated values.

  • The underfloor air distribution system has been attracting to architects and building owners as one of valuable system for the renovated and newly office building. In this paper, we discussed the thermal stratification profile of pressurized plenum underfloor air distribution(UFAD) according to indoor setting temperature, diffuser number, diffuser type. For this, the space of office building(H corp.) is selected for measuring the air volume of underfloor diffuser and vertical temperature profile. As a result, the thermal stratification profile is influenced by the number and type of the underfloor diffuser and thermal storage character of the underfloor. Whereas indoor setting temperature have a lower significant impact on thermal stratification.

오픈 블라스팅 로봇에서 관로내의 그리트 가압이송 특성 (Pressurized Pneumatic Grit Conveying Characteristics in Pipeline for Open Blasting Robot)

  • In this paper, to improve the efficiency of pressurized pneumatic grit conveying for ship block open blasting process. Pressurized pneumatic grit conveying is defined as the transportation of grit(abrasive) in a compressed air flow. Total Pressure loss in flexible hose for pneumatic conveying is sum of pressure losses due to gas and grit and needle type pressure transmitter for measured pressure loss. haracteristics of grit open blasting by pneumatic conveying were studied experimentally. Studies variables were blasting nozzle ID, length and ID of flexible hose, grit flow rate, flow rate and pressure of transport air. It was experimentally proved that optimal open blasting condition and cost effective operation regarding grit blasting, obtaining a high qulity surface preparation(Sa $2^{\frac{1}{2}}$).

  • The variable-frequency type water supply equipment, which adopts the variable-voltage and variable-frequency converter(VVVF converter) to govern automatically the rotating speed of a pump, can save 15-20% of power, as compared with a throttle-controlled pump device or an airpressurized water supply equipment, and is finding a wide application. However, it still has some disadvantages : greater pressure fluctuations during switching over the pump and prolonged low-effeciency running of the pump in the case of small consumption of water. Therefore, it is difficult to apply the equipment to the fire water supply system where the water should not be put into use unless a fire takes place, and the water pressure in pipelines should permanently remain constant. This paper introduces the automatic regulation principle of the variable-frequency type air-pressurized water supply equipment (hereafter referred to as simply BFQS equipment) for dual purposes of daily life and fire control, which combined both technologies of speed governing by a converter and air-pressurized water supplying, then discusses some problems related to automatic control, and finally gives the experimental results of an embodiment-BPQS-100-50 water supply equipment.

A Study on the Application of CRUDTRAN Code in Primary Systems of Domestic Pressurized Heavy-Water Reactors for Prediction of Radiation Source Term

  • The importance of developing a source-term assessment technology has been emphasized owing to the decommissioning of Kori nuclear power plant (NPP) Unit 1 and the increase of deteriorated NPPs. We analyzed the behavioral mechanism of corrosion products in the primary system of a pressurized heavy-water reactor-type NPP. In addition, to check the possibility of applying the CRUDTRAN code to a Canadian Deuterium Uranium Reactor (CANDU)-type NPP, the type was assessed using collected domestic onsite data. With the assessment results, it was possible to predict trends according to operating cycles. Values estimated using the code were similar to the measured values. The results of this study are expected to be used to manage the radiation exposures of operators in high-radiation areas and to predict decommissioning processes in the primary system.
