제동 시스템을 위한 고주파수 ECU의 제어 특성 연구 (Study on the Characteristics of Control by High Frequency ECU for Braking System)

  • 본 논문은 제동 시스템에서 전자식 주행안정 제어장치(ESC)의 유압 모듈레이터의 솔레노이드 밸브 제어에 대한 것이다. ESC의 전자제어유니트(ECU)를 제어하기 위한 방법으로 고주파수 제어와 슬로프 제어를 적용하였으며, 서지 압력 및 전자파간섭(EMI) 저감 특성을 연구하였다. 고주파수에서의 전자파 방출을 줄이기 위하여 ECU 출력 단에 슬로프 제어 기능을 추가하였다. 측정결과 제동 시스템에서 고주파수 ECU의 솔레노이드 밸브제어 방법에 따라 서지 압력과 전자파 방출이 저감될 수 있음을 확인하였다. 결론적으로 고주파수 ECU 제어 연구 결과에 의해 제동 시스템 성능을 향상방안을 제시하고자 한다.

  • Even though digital control type high speed solenoid valve is a little inferior to analog control type servo valve and proportional control valve in performance, it is cheap and has secure performance against pollutant and simple control circuit. But high speed solenoid valve is hardly used for heavy machinery instead of servo valve or proportional control valve that is used in severe condition because the valve itself is small capacity and it shows wide dead zone during on-off control and chattering of hydraulic cylinder by chattering of pressure. It is desirable to use low-priced and strong pollutant resistant high speed solenoid valve for obtaining reliability of operation from severe working condition because it isn't necessary to acquire response characteristic of high frequency when we consider the characteristic of heavy machinery operation. In this study, PWM control algorithm for pilot pressure control of large capacity pilot operating valve will be used for precision position control of heavy machinery hydraulic cylinder. Not only cost reduction of main control valve but also high reliability of heavy machinery in severe condition can be obtained by using this pilot operating spool valve with high speed solenoid valve.

연속 웨이브렛 변환 및 데몬 신호처리를 이용한 캐비테이션 소음 검출 방법 (Cavitation Noise Detection Method using Continuous Wavelet Transform and DEMON Signal Processing)

  • Cavitation is a phenomenon caused by vapour cavities that is produced in rapid pressure changes. When the cavitation happened, the sound pressure level of a underwater radiated noise is increased rapidly. As a result, it can increase the probability of the identification or classification of a our warship's acoustic signature by an enemy ship. However, there is a problem that it is hard to precisely detect the occurrence of a cavitation noise. Therefore, this paper presents recent improvements in terms of the cavitation noise measurement by using continuous wavelet transform and DEMON(Detection of Envelope Modulation on Noise) signal processing. Then, we present that the suggested scheme is more suitable for detecting the cavitation than existing algorithms.

자동변속기용 비례제어 솔레노이드밸브 성능시험기 개발 (A Development of Proportional Control Solenoid Valve Performance Tester for Automatic Transmission)

  • The proportional control solenoid valves as well as the PWM solenoid valves operated by electric signal play an important role in the hydraulic system for automatic transmissions to improve the shift quality. However it is not generally available for the performance data because most of the automotive parts manufacturer don't release the specific test results, especially dynamic performance that is essential to design a shift control algorithm. In this research, a performance test equipment that can be applied to various types of pressure control solenoid valve was developed. It was implemented by 8-bit micro-controller with many useful functions such as adjustable PWM carrier frequency, embedded function generator, current controller, data monitoring and acquisitions, etc. for the test of dynamic performance of solenoid valve as well as the steady-state pressure characteristics. The performance test results for the direct type proportional control solenoid valve show not only the validity of overall functions but also its usefulness as a hydraulic valve tester.

  • 추력변화를 위한 방법에는 여러 가지가 있는데, 고압력 강하 시스템, 이중 매니폴드 분사기, 가스 분사, 다중 챔버, 펄스 추력, 움직이는 분사기 구성요소 등이 있다. 이 중에서 이중 매니폴드 분사기의 경우에는 하나의 분사기 구조에 서로 다른 두 개의 매니폴드를 가지는 분사기를 결합하는 방식의 분사기인데, 각 분사기는 각각의 연료 공급시스템을 독립적으로 가지고 있어 각 매니폴드마다 독립적으로 유량을 조절 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이중 매니폴드 분사기를 사용하여 넓은 추력범위에서 연료분사의 안정성을 판단하기 위하여 각 매니폴드의 접선방향 유입구 넓이의 비와 분사압력에 따라 분사 형상을 측정하고, 분사기 오리피스 끝단에서 액막 두께를 측정하였다.

Radial deformation and band-gap modulation of pressurized carbon nanotubes

  • We numerically investigate the electronic band structure of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) under radial corrugation. Hydrostatic pressure application to CNTs leads to a circumferential wave-like deformation of their initially circular cross-sections, called radial corrugations. Tight-binding calculation was performed to determine the band gap energy as a function of the amplitude of the radial corrugation. We found that the band gap increased with increasing radial corrugation amplitude; then, the gap started to decline at a critical amplitude and finally vanished. This non-monotonic gap variation indicated the metal-semiconductor-metal transition of CNTs with increasing corrugation amplitude. Our results provide a better insight into the structure-property relation of CNTs, thus advancing the CNT-based device development.

  • Pneumatic servo valve is an electro-mechanical device which change electric signals to a proper pneumatic signals, that is, flowrate and pressure. In this study, a pneumatic servo valve was designed and each simulation was conducted on any variation in the flowrate depending upon the magnetic force of the linear force motor and the displacement of the spool. And permanent magnet was used as a material for the plunger of the servo valve. Thereby, a low electrical power consumption type coil was desinged. And a modeling for the coil design was conducted by using the magnetic circuit. also, the feasibility of the modeling was verified by using a commercial magnetic field analysis program. The designed and fabrication of the spool and sleeve, position sensor, servo controller and the dynamic characteristic verified by the experiment.

  • EGR is well established and efficient means to reduce NOx emissions. The increase of EGR rate affects the ignition delay of the combustion due to the lower oxygen availability. The increasing of the ignition delay period causes large combustion noise. In this study, the effects of EGR and Induction Point on combustion noise are investigated by measuring cylinder pressure and noise. As a result, The Combustion noise is markedly increased under the application of EGR. The increased premixed distance by displacing EGR Induction point in flow direction causes the uniform EGR distribution and the modulation level of the combustion noise is reduced slightly.

진공공간 내 나노급 오염입자의 실시간 진단시스템 개발 (Development of real-time nanoscale contaminant particle characteristics diagnosis system in vacuum condition)

  • Particle characteristics diagnosis system (PCDS) was developed to measure submicron particle characteristics by modulation of particle beam mass spectrometry (PBMS) with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDS). It is possible to measure the particle size distribution in real-time, and the shape, composition can be measured in sequence keeping vacuum condition. Apparatus was calibrated by measuring the size classified NaCl particle which generated at atmospheric pressure. After the calibration, particles were sampled from the exhaust line of plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) process and measured. Result confirms that PCDS is capable for analyzing particles in vacuum condition.

Robust Wheel Slip Controller for Vehicle Stability Control

  • Vehicle stability control system can enhance the vehicle stability and handling in the emergency situations through the control of traction and braking forces at the individual wheels. To achieve the desired performance, the wheel slip controller manages the hydraulic braking system to generate the desired braking force at each wheel. In this study, we propose the wheel slip controller for the generation of the braking forces based on multiple sliding mode control theory with the pulse width modulation. The proposed controller follows to the slip ratio and the brake pressure the desired ones so that the vehicle stability controller can Intervene braking force at each wheel. We show the validity and usefulness of the proposed controller through computer simulations.
