단일관망에서 누수효과를 고려한 천이류 분석 및 실험 (Transient Analysis and Experiment Considering Unsteady Friction and Leakage in a Pipeline System)

  • The current paper focuses the analysis of leakage detection in water pipeline systems by means of the transient analysis. In order to obtain pressure variation for evaluation the existing methodology, an extensive experimental process has been carried out in a single pipeline system. Several experimental tests were performed with and without a leakage in the system. Using the unsteady friction and improved unsteady friction factors, reasonable match between the computed and measured pressure were presented on the condition of the flow situations. The transient method attempts to estimate the leakage in water pipelines using observed pressure data collected during transient events on the system.

  • Leakage vortices fonned near the blade tip cause an increase of total pressure loss near the casing endwall region and as a result, the efficiency of rotor decreases. The reduction of rotor efficiency is related to the size of tip clearance. In this study, the three-dimensional flow fields in an axial flow rotor were calculated with varying tip clearance under various flow rates, and the numerical results were compared with experimental ones. The effects of tip clearance and the of attack on the leakage vortex and overall performance, and the los9 distributions were investigated through numerical calculations. In this study, tip leakage flow rate and total pressure loss due to the tip clearance were evaluated using numerical results and approximate equations were presented to evaluate the reduction of rotor efficiency due to the tip leakage flow.

상수관망 파일럿플랜트에서의 누수실험 및 누수탐지 알고리즘의 적용 (Leakage experiments and applications of leakage detection algorithm in the pilot plant of water distribution system)

  • 본 연구에서는 상수관망의 최적 수압모니터링 지점선정 알고리즘과 역추적 계산법을 이용한 누수탐지 알고리즘을 개발하였고 파일럿 플랜트에서 실험을 통해 검증하였다. 먼저 누수탐지를 위한 최적의 모니터링 지점선정을 선정하고 압력계를 설치하여 누수로 인한 압력변위를 측정하였다. 누수탐지를 위한 역추적계산법의 검증을 위하여 누수탐지를 수행하였고 파일럿플랜트에서 실제 재현된 누수의 지점과 누수량을 정확하게 산정하였다. 누수량을 $0.0005m^3/s$로부터 $0.0018m^3/s$까지 변화시키며 누수를 재현하였고 누수지점에 근접한 장소를 찾는데 성공하였다. 본 연구에서는 실험을 통해서 누수탐지기법으로 사용된 역추적계산법이 유효함을 검증할 수 있었다.

자동차압 · 과압조절형댐퍼의 누설량 실험 연구 (The Experimental Study on the Leakage of Automatic Pressure Differential · Overpressure Control Dampers)

  • 최근 건축물은 대형화, 고층화되어 화재발생시 소방대의 활동이 제한되어 화염 및 연기에 의한 인명피해가 증가할 수 있다. 이러한 인명피해를 저감하기 위하여 제연설비가 필수적이며 특별피난계단 부속실 및 비상용승강기 승강장에 급기 가압제연설비를 적용하고 있다. 국가 화재안전기준에서는 부속실 및 승강장과 거실과의 차압을 40 Pa~60 Pa을 요구하고 있으나 실제 현장에서는 60 Pa 이상의 과압이 다수 발생하고 있다. 이러한 과압의 원인은 댐퍼의 누설량의 과다에 의한 것으로 알려져 있다. 과압은 피난자의 문개방을 어렵게 하여 피난을 불가능하게 할 수 있다. 이러한 문제점을 확인하고자 국내에 사용되고 있는 자동차압 과압조절형댐퍼의 누설량을 측정하여 실제 누설량이 얼마인지 분석하였다. 실험결과 제조사 별로 최대 누설량은 $0.154m^3/s$로 나타났으며, 최소 누설량은 $0.090m^3/s$로 나타났다. 이 누설량으로 인하여 과압이 발생하면 피난문 폐쇄력이 증가하여 피난에 방해가 될 수 있으므로 댐퍼의 누설량 제한 기준이 필요하다.

  • It is known that tip clearance flows reduce the pressure rin, flow range and efficiency of the turbomachinery. So, the clear understanding about flow fields in the tip region is needed to efficiently design the turbomachinery. The Navier-Stokes code with the proper treatment of the boundary conditions has been developed to analyze the three-dimensional steady viscous flow fields in the transonic rotating blades and a numerical study has been conducted to investigate the detail flow physics in the tip region of transonic rotor, NASA Rotor 67. The computational results in the tip region of transonic rotors show the leakage vortices, leakage flow from pressure side to suction side and their interaction with a shock Depending on the operating conditions, the position of shock-wave on the blade surface are v8y different close to the blade tip of the transonic compressor rotor. The shock-wave position dose to the blade tip had the dose relationship with the starting position of leakage vortex and the direction of leakage flow.

밸브 스템계의 누유특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Oil Leakage Characteristics of Valve Stem System)

  • This paper presents the oil leakage characteristics of the valve stem system in gasoline engines. For the oil leakage investigation, four study models have been prepared as functions of used poppet valve and used valve stem seal, used poppet valve and unused valve stem seal, unused poppet valve and used valve stem seal, and unused poppet valve and unused valve stem seal. With four models, the experimental study on the oil leakage has been investigated for the oil temperature, intake pressure, and camshaft speed. The experimental results show that the sealing performance of the valve stem seal plays an important role on the leakage of the valve stem system. And the appropriate replacement of a stem seal with used poppet valve shows good sealing performance in oil leakage in compared with a new valve system.

공기압실린더의 누설유량 계측에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Measurement Method of Leakage for Pneumatic Cylinder)

  • In this study, a measurement method of leakage flow-rate for pneumatic driving apparatus is proposed. The existing measurement methods of leakage flow-rate of air need disassemble the test component. Therefore, there is no effective method to measure the leakage flow-rate while operating pneumatic driving apparatus. In this study, the leakage flow-rate is measured from the pressure change in an isothermal chamber that can realize isothermal conditions by stuffing the steel wool into it. Therefore, a wide range of flow-rate could be measured only from the pressure response and the leakage flow-rate can be measured during operating pneumatic driving apparatus. The effectiveness of the proposed method is proved by experimental results.

  • The high pressure vessels that are constructed by welding process have many welding lines and most of the leakage defects are occurred on these welding lines. The acoustic emission(AE) technique has adopted to detect the defect location and leakage on welding parts, but the AE signal in leakage are incomplete due to the attenuation, reiteration, instability and limit of defect size. To overcome these troubles, the experiments in this study are conducted to measure the indirect media-propagated AE signal perpendicular to the leakage hole. The AE signals that are acquired from the direct and indirect media are analyzed, and the reliability of the indirect media-propagated AE signal are examined experimentally. By AE signal investigation, this method can be adopted to detect efficiently the leakage in welding parts.

액체수소용 초저온 고압 피스톤 펌프의 기밀성 향상에 관한 기초연구 (A Study on Air-tightness of High Pressure Liquid Hydrogen Pumping System at the Low Temperature)

  • As an initial step to develop a liquid hydrogen pump of piston type operated under cryogenic and high pressure, leakage and piston head shape for the piston pump were discussed with temperature and pressure. As the results, the leakage depended on correlation among density, viscosity, clearance area by the low temperature. In order to reduce the leakage, it was found that the air-tightness can be improved by minimizing contact surface between piston and cylinder, and also increasing pressure in-cylinder can reduce piston clearance. Among the proposed piston shapes, D type piston shape had the most air-tightness. D type piston had smaller contact surface than other piston shape and easier expansion of cup shape by pressure. The leakage of D type piston shape was found about 7%, compared with A type piston shape. But it was required that analyze about vapor lock by friction and wear resistance.
