개폐식 3방향 전자밸브의 펄스폭 변조 구동에 의한 압력제어 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Pressure Control Characteristics of ON/OFF 3-way Solenoid Valve Driven by PWM Signal)

  • Pressure control is possible driving a simple ON/OFF 3-way valve of hydraulic servo system by pulse width modulation signal. But the pressure varies according to the duty ratio and carrier frequency and repeated on-off action induces pressure fluctuation. So equations for mean pressure and ripple amplitude are theoretically derived as a function of on/off time, the system parameters which decide the pressure characteristics are arranged and they are verified by experimental study. As the result selection criteria for the major design parameters are established and the basic strategy to suppress the unnecessary fluctuation can be provided for a hydraulic pressure control system using these type of valves.

MR Tanker 실선 및 모형선 프로펠러 캐비테이션 및 변동압력 수치해석 연구 (Numerical Study on Propeller Cavitation and Pressure Fluctuation of Model and Full Scale ship for a MR Tanker)

  • Propeller cavitation extent, pressure fluctuation induced by cavitation, pressure distribution on propeller blade, total velocity distribution and nominal wake distribution for a MR Taker were computed in both conditions of model test and sea trial using a code STAR-CCM+. Then some of the results were compared with model test data at LCT and full-scale measurement (Ahn et al (2014); Kim et al (2014)] in order to confirm the availability of a numerical prediction method and to get the physical insight of local flow around a ship and propeller. The nominal wake distributions computed and measured by LDV velocimeter on the variation of on-coming velocity show the wake contraction characteristics proposed by Hoekstra (1974). The numerical prediction of propeller cavitation extent on a blade angular position and pressure fluctuation level on each location of pressure sensors are very similar with the experimental results.

  • Titanium alloy has been widely used in the aerospace industry because of its high strength and good corrosion resistance. During cutting, the low thermal conductivity and high chemical reactivity of titanium generate a high cutting temperature and accelerates tool wear. To improve cutting tool life, cryogenic machining by using a liquid nitrogen (LN2) jet is suggested. In cryogenic jet cooling, evaporation of LN2 in the tank and transfer tube could cause pressure fluctuation and change the cooling rate. In this work, cooling uniformity is investigated in terms of liquid nitrogen jet pressure in cryogenic jet cooling during titanium alloy turning. Fluctuation of jet spraying pressure causes tool temperature to fluctuate. It is possible to suppress the fluctuation of the jet pressure and improve cooling by using a phase separator. Measuring tool temperature shows that consistent LN2 jet pressure improves cryogenic cooling uniformity.

관내 희박 예혼합 프로판/공기와 메탄/공기 화염의 거동에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Behaviors of Lean Premixed Flame of Propane/Air and Methane/Air in a Tube)

  • Behaviors of lean premixed flame of propane/air and methane/air flame anchored by a pilot flame in a tube were investigated experimentally varying the mean velocity from 10 to 140 cm/s and the equivalence ratio from 0.45 to 0.8. Behaviors of both flames are divided into five regions of stable, flash-back, tail-out, flickering and vibrating. General characteristics of each region and Le number effect are investigated. Two main instabilities, flickering and vibration, are both unstable but the instability mechanism, the frequency and the amplitude of pressure fluctuation are different. In the edge of the vibrating region, pressure fluctuation repeats generation and extinction. Repeated growth and decrease of the amplitude of pressure fluctuation are explained by Rayleigh#s index.

  • Turbulent boundary layer pressure fluctuation exerted on the surface of a structure can give rise to a elastic stress wave on the surface of the structure. The stress wave so called surface wave, will not only propagate along the surface of structure but also penerate into the structure. To reduce the transmission of stress wave into the structure the elastomer layer is usually attactched on the surface of structure. The transfer function, which is defined herein as the ratio of stress waves at the surface and bottom of the elastomer layer, is derved by use of the cylindrical coordinates system. The elastodynamics of the elastomer layer subjected to the turbulent boundary layer pressure fluctuation is represented by the simplified one degree-of-freedom model for easy prediction of the stress wave transmission as well as efficient design of the elastomer layer.

4-로브 헬리컬형 로터를 가진 용적형수차의 성능예측법 (Performance Prediction Method of n Positive Displacement Turbine with 4-Lobe Helical Type Rotor)

  • In order to extract small hydropower in the very low specific speed range of $n_s<10$, a Positive Displacement Turbine (PDT) has been proposed and steady performances have been determined experimentally. However, the suppression of large pressure fluctuation is inevitable for practical application of PDT. Therefore, present study adopted 4-lobe helical type robe to reduce the pressure fluctuation. The results show that 4-lobe helical type robe can be adopted to suppress the pressure fluctuation drastically. Moreover, efficiency and unit power of the turbine with newly proposed 4-lobe helical type lobe are higher than those of the turbine with 3-lobe straight type robe.

  • In this paper, we present the CFD and experimental results for flow characteristics as well as pressure fluctuation in a T-type ball valve. In the experiment, flow visualization for the wake is performed with a fluorescent dye. In CFD, the valve flow is simulated three-dimensionally using a commercial fluid analysis code, FLUENT 6.0. FFT analysis to the pressure fluctuation in the wake region is also calculated Analysis results show that the characteristic frequency of the wake flow is strongly dependent on the Reynolds number.

재생냉각 연소기 연소시험의 연소안정성 분석 (Combustion Stability Analysis on Hot-firing Test Results of Regenerative Cooling Combustion Chamber)

  • 분사기 배열 및 벽면 냉각 방식이 다르게 설계된 30톤급 재생냉각 두 연소기에 대한 연소시험이 수행되었다. 본 논문에서는 연소시험 결과 중 연소안정성에 대한 내용을 분석, 제시하였다. 연소안정성 평가를 위해 압력 섭동의 크기 및 SRT 결과를 검토하였으며, 두 연소기 모두 연소안정성 측면에서 매우 만족스러운 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 압력 섭동의 RMS 값은 연소실 압력 대비 3% 미만의 값을 나타내었으며, SRT 결과에서도 외부 가진에 의한 압력 peak의 감쇠시간은 기준 감쇠시간의 10% 정도로 짧게 나타났다. 막냉각이 적용된 연소기의 경우 벽면 냉각용 분사기가 최외곽 열에 배치된 연소기에 비해 압력 섭동의 RMS 값이 감소하는 결과를 보였다.

기-고 유동층에서 Gaussian 분포 입자군의 표준편차에 따른 유출 특성 (The Characteristics of Elutriation with Gaussian Particle Size Distributions in a gas-solid fluidized bed)

  • 기-고 유동층에서 다입자경 입자의 입자분포 변화에 따른 비산유출 특성을 연구하였다. 다입자경 입자분포는 Gaussian 분포를 사용하여 실험을 수행하였다. 최소유동화속도에 대한 유속비와 Gaussian 입자분포의 표준편차에 따른 비산유출상수를 구하였으며, 이때 조업시간에 따른 압력요동의 특성치를 구하였다. 측정된 유동층의 압력요동 특성치로부터 압력요동의 표준편차, 평균압력, Power spectrum density function, 주진동수 등을 계산하였다. 입자분포군에 따라서 유출입자의 입자분포 및 압력요동 특성치는 크게 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났으며 이러한 결과로부터 압력요동 특성치로부터 유출특성의 해석이 가능함을 알 수 있었다.

선박 도장용 50MPa급 고압 펌프 개발 (Development of High Pressure Pump of 50MPa class for Ship Painting)

  • In this study, numerical simulations and performance evaluation has been carried out to investigate performance characteristics of air-type high pressure piston pump. ANSYS and CFX were applied for analyzing the structure and flow behavior of air-type high pressure piston pump, respectively. The performance evaluation of high pressure piston pump was performed experimentally, the results were compared with simulation. It was found that the freezing phenomenon was improved by 20% and the pressure fluctuation decreased by 50%, compared with the previous pump.
