In Instant message service, the server should process instant messages and request messages which include many presence resources for users. And it also precesses massive notification messages generating from the subscribed presence resources. In this paper a new architecture of instant message service with multiple servers which can distribute loads efficiently as the number of users increases has been suggested. It also provides various functions to users using extended call processing language. The user subscribes presence information and call processing language script which describes user's functions. The server processes instant messages, presence services and call processing language scripts. New extended presence information data structure has been suggested and new call processing language operation tags have been added. Therefore extendability of the system can be increased and various services which combine presence service and call processing can be provided in this system. Furthermore instant message processing module has been integrated in the server to decrease the amount of SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) messages, and it also improves system efficiency, The performance of our proposed system has been analysed by experiments.

In this paper, we have studied a new method in which multimedia message can be processed effectively in SIP(Session Initiation Protocol)-based Instant Messaging service. Total system is composed of multimedia message server, presence server and user system. To provide effectively message informations such as number of messages stored in the multimedia message server, waiting status and message types to users, we have proposed a new method which can be a substitute for message waiting indication event package. In our proposed method, when changes of messages status informations occur, these informations are sent to the presence server, and can be transferred as a separate tag within notification message. The presence server processes subscription requests and notifications, and efficiency can be improved as it provides both message status informations and several communication status informations such as on-line status to service users. Partial publication is used in our system to improve data transfer efficiency more between user system and the presence server. The performance of our proposed model is evaluated by experiments measuring multimedia message transfer speed and server processing time.

Session Initiation Protocol(이하 SIP)은 H.323 network에서 제기된 문제점을 해결하고 다양한 multimedia service를 제공하기위해 IETF에서 정의된 protocol로서, 3GPP의 IP Multimedia Subsystem(이하 IMS)의 기반 protocol로 채택되었다. IMS는 multimedia service를 제공하기 위한 infrastructure로서 CSCF, HSS, MRF, MGCF, IM-GW등 기능적으로 분리된 여러 entity로 구성되며, 향후 추가될 다양한 부가 service에 유연하게 대처할 수 있는 Application Server(이하 AS) mechanism을 포함하고 있다. 현재 AS mechanism을 이용하여 3GPP규격 상에 정의된 대표적 서비스는 presence service이며, presence service network은 presence server, presence agent, presence proxy, watcher등으로 구성된다. 마지막으로 상기에 언급한 규격을 바탕으로 실제 구축된 Instant messaging/presence service network을 제시한다. This study attempts to verify the effect of e-CRM on reuse intetnion of e-learning and to determine whether the presense mediates the relationship between e-CRM and reuse intetnion of e-learning through empirical analysis. The results of the study are as follows. First, The effect of e-CRM(e-marketing, e-service, e-communication) on the intention of reuse for e-learning services was significant. Second, it was found that the effect of e-CRM(e-marketing, e-service) on reuse intention of e-learning was significantly mediated by the teaching presence. Third, it was found that the effect of e-CRM(e-marketing, e-service, e-communication) on reuse intention of e-learning was significantly mediated by the cognitive presence. Finally, it was found that the effect of e-CRM(e-marketing) on reuse intention of e-learning was significantly mediated by the social presence.

프리젠스(Presence) 서비스는 SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) 확장 서비스의 하나로서 사용자들 사이에 현재 위치의 정보나 온라인 정보 등과 같은 통신 상태의 변화를 등록(Subscription)과 Notification을 통해서 제공한다. 이때 프리젠스 정보가 변화될 때마다 전체 프리젠스 문서를 이용하여 업데이트하는 기존의 Publication 및 Notification 방식을 사용할 경우 프리젠스 정보 전송에 상당한 오버헤드가 발생한다. 이를 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 부분 Publication 및 Notification 방식을 사용하여 변화되는 최신 프리젠스 정보만으로 구성된 부분 프리젠스 문서를 메시지 바디에 포함시켜 전달하도록 함으로써 기존의 방식에 비해 효율적인 프리젠스 관련 정보 전송이 가능한 새로운 프리젠스 서비스를 구현하였다.

The rapidly aging society entails the increases of medical service utilizations among the elderly. Medical services utilized by the elderly influence their life satisfaction. However, little is known about the effects of medical service utilizations on life satisfaction. Much less is known about whether the effects of medical service utilizations on life satisfaction tend to vary by the presence of chronic health conditions. Including 3,944 individuals aged 65 and over who participated in the 3rd wave of Korean Welfare Panel Study, the current study aims to examine (1) the relationships between medical service utilizations and life satisfaction and (2) whether the effects of medical service utilizations on life satisfaction vary by the presence of chronic health conditions. Data were processed through structural equation modeling(SEM) and multi-group SEM. Results indicate that (1) levels of both outpatient and inpatient service utilizations are related to life satisfaction, whereas levels of health monitoring service utilizations are not and (2) the effects of medical service utilizations varied by the chronic health condition status of the elderly. These results indicate that, in order to enhance levels of life satisfaction, medical services should be strategically utilized by the elderly depending on their chronic health condition status. Based on the findings, we discussed implications for practice and policy, suggesting future research directions based on the limitations of the current study.

Local intelligent services aim at controlling local services such as cooling or lightening services in a certain local area, using Internet-of-Things (IoT) sensor data in the area. As the IoT paradigm has evolved, local intelligent services have gained increasing attention. However, most of the local intelligent service mechanism proposed so far do not directly take the users' presence and service preference information into account for controlling local services. This study proposes an individual presence-and-preference-based local service system (IPP-LISS). We present a intelligent service control algorithm and implement a prototype system of IPP-LISS. Typically, the intelligence part of IPP-LISS including the prediction models, is generated on remote server in the cloud because of their compute-intense aspect. However, this can cause huge data traffic between IoT devices and servers in the cloud. The emerging mobile edge computing technology will be a promising solution of this challenge of IPP-LISS. In this paper, we implement IPP-LISS in the cloud, and then, based on the implementation result, we discuss applying the mobile edge computing technology to the IPP-LISS application.

In SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) environment, the presence server should process SIP SUBSCRIBE request messages including multiple presence resources addresses from users, and also precess massive notification messages from the subscribed presence resources. The load of the presence server increases as number of users increase, and it limits system extendability. Therefore a new multiple presence servers architecture has been suggested in this research. In this architecture presence servers can be added dynamically and each server's load can be controlled effectively as number of users increase. Each presence server can monitor current load status of entire presence system by using presence event notification package which newly has been suggested in this paper. When a particular presence server's load increases over predefined limit, the presence service processing is distributed by selecting a server which has the smallest load, or by generating a new server dynamically. In this system the overall load of the entire system can be controlled optimally and extendability of the system can be increased. For this purpose a new presence event notification package and presence information data format have been suggested. The performance of the proposed system has been evaluated by experiments. They shows 44.3% increase in SUBSCRIBE message processing time, and 43.1% increase in Notification message processing time.

This study aims to examine the effects of customer experience on the relationship between brand trust and customer experience. The survey was conducted on consumers who experienced chatbot service through internet shopping mall, and the research hypothesis was verified by analyzing the final 299 questionnaires. The results of the study showed that the customer experience using chatbot service had a positive effect on chatbot trust, had a positive effect on shopping mall trust, seller trust and brand trust through the mediating role of chatbot trust, and the social presence of chatbot had a moderating effect in the trust transfer. This study provides a theoretical basis that customer experience of chatbot service has positive effect on brand trust through chatbot trust, and suggests implications in that chatbot service can be an important means of marketing. In future studies, various studies related to chatbot trust are needed.

In this study, we investigate the effect of social presence and affection on usage and participation in the UCC service. We have conducted a face-to-face survey along with an e-mail survey and obtained a total of 329 responses. The findings show that social presence has a significant impact on pleasure and arousal. Social presence and pleasure in turn show a positive impact on using the UCC service. However, arousal has no significant influence on the UCC service usage. Participation in the UCC service appears to be a different behavior than the UCC usage. Pleasure shows a negative effect on the UCC service participation, while arousal very strongly and positively affects the UCC service participation. The significance of this study can be found in that it empirically demonstrates the importance of social presence and affection in promoting the UCC service usage.
