기능성 재료를 이용한 베이커리 제품의 선호도와 이용실태에 관한 연구 - 수원 지역 여성을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Preference and the Actual Using Patterns of the Bakery Products using Functional Ingredients)

  • This research was accomplished to analyze the preference and the actual using patterns of the bakery products using functional ingredients by subjects' age. This survey was examined by the self-administered questionnaire method for 374 female subjects in Suwon. All respondents preferred breads than confectionaries with functional ingredients. As for the products of cooking ingredients, cookies, roll-cake, cake, chocolate, the preference of teenagers was higher than those of the other groups. Subjects preferred potatoes, fruits, rice and green tea as functional ingredients. Over thirties showed the high preference over beans, vegetables, mushrooms, ginseng and oriental herbs while fruits were highly preferred in teenagers and twenties. The ratio of using the bakery products with functional ingredients once or twice a week was higher in over thirties than those of the other groups. Subjects answered that they generally spent $3,000won\sim5,000won$ on those products. Functionality of products was considered as the more important factor in thirties than in the other groups. The lack of information about these products and functional ingredients was reported by teenagers and twenties. These results would be basic data for marketing or improvement of baking products with functional ingredients.

Scaling MDS for Preference Data Using Target Configuration

  • MDS(multi-dimensional scaling) for preference data is a graphical tool which usually figures out how consumers recognize, evaluate certain products. This article is mainly concerned with an optimal scaling for MDS when target configuration is available. Rotation of axis and SUR(seemingly unrelated regression) methods are employed to get a new configuration which is obtained as close to the target as we can. Methodologies developed here are also illustrated via a real data set.

중국 연변 조선족의 한국전통 일상음식에 대한 선호도에 섭취빈도 (Preference and Intake Frequency of Daily Korean Traditional Food of China-Korean in Yanbian Area)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the perceptional patterns of Korean traditional food and to compare the preference and intake frequencies of daily traditional Korean food among the identified perceptional patterns in the Yuabian area. Data were collected from 261 Korean housewives in Yanbian and underwent cluster and group mean analysis. The results revealed two different patterns: tradition-oriented vs. modem-oriented. Descriptive statistics showed that perceptional patterns are likely to vary depending on socio-demographic background as well as the preference and intake frequencies of daily traditional food. Similarities and differences in these perceptional patterns, the preference and the intake frequencies of traditional daily food are discussed, and future implications for food nutritionists and Asia marketers are presented.

과학 관련 활동에 대한 초등학생의 선호 및 참여와 관련된 요인 탐색 (An Exploration of the Factors Related with Preference for and Participation in Science-related Activities of Elementary School Student)

  • In this study, we explored the factors related with preference for and participation in science-related activities of elementary school students. We developed a questionnaire to measure the characteristics of students such as motivation toward science learning, science aspiration, family science orientation, parental educational level and occupation, and the degrees of preference and participation of science-related activities. The questionnaire was administered to about 400 fourth graders in Seoul. The results revealed that the students with higher motivation toward science learning and/or science aspiration preferred and participated more in most activities. It was also found that parental educational level and occupation did not make an appreciable difference in preference and participation. The students who perceived their parents to be science-oriented, however, preferred and participated more in most activities. These results may offer practical implications for effective uses of both school and out-of-school science activities in elementary science education.

궐련벌레의 원료 잎담배 식이 선호성에 관한 연구 (The Feeding Preference of Cigarette Beetle, Lasioderma serricorne F., on Cured Tobacco Leaves.)

  • Feeding preference of cigarette beetle, Lasioderma sewicorne F., on cured tobacco leaves was investigated to obtain basic information on ecological management of the insect pest in tobacco storage warehouses. About 3, 000-4, 000 adults of the insect were released in a warehouse in which groud tobacco leaves were placed on the bottom and at 3m above the floor level, and numbers of insects attracted were examined. There was no significant difference on feeding preference between the two tobacco varieties, flue-cured(NC82) and air-cured(Br3l) tobacco leaves. However, significant differences were noted in feeding preference between thick and thin leaves and among different quality grades within a tobacco variety. Feeding preferences of cigarette beetle between flue- and air- cured tobacco varieties showed significant differences on the lower position, though there were no differences on the 3m upper position. On the 3m upper position, feeding preferences were different between thick and thin leaves of tobacco varieties, and variety X thickness and variety X thickness equality grades showed statistically significant differences. Significantly higher feeding preference by cigarette beetle adults was observed for the food placed on the 3m upper than on the lower position. There were negative correlations between quality grades of cured tobacco leaves and feeding preference on the lower position, and the regression equation was Y(feeding preference)=4.050-0.683 X (degree).

경북향토음식에 대한 실태조사 - 유교, 신라, 해양, 가야문화권을 중심으로 - (Survey on Local Foods in Gyeongbuk Province - Yugyo, Silla, Ocean, Gaya Culture -)

  • This study was conducted among university students living in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region to determine the perception, Preference, and improved consciousness of Gyeongbuk local foods classified by the Yugyo, Silla, Ocean, and Gaya cultures. In the Andong area, subjects demonstrated outstanding, high rates of perception of and preference for local foods. The perception of and preference for foods from the Yugyo and Silla cultures were relatively high compared to those of others. The degree of perception of Gwamegi foods was high, but the degree of preference was rather low. It is believed that establishing new counterplans is necessary to obtain higincrease preference for foods from the Ocean culture. Sigeumjang foods of the Ocean culture showed alow degree of both perception and preference. The analysis showed that there was a discrepancy between the perception of and preference for foods in the Gaya culture. To improve the relationship between awareness of and preference for foods in the same culture we determined that menu strategy, development strategy and sales strategy were important factors. The results of the survey investigating the correlation between improved awareness of and perception of foods showed menu strategy and development strategy had meaningful effects. According to the survey, the factors that influenced choices of foods local to Yugyo were classified into categores-: menu strategy, development strategy, product strategy, and sales strategy.

English Syntactic Disambiguation Using Parser's Ambiguity Type Information

  • This paper describes a rule-based approach for syntactic disambiguation used by the English sentence parser in E-TRAN 2001, an English-Korean machine translation system. We propose Parser's Ambiguity Type Information (PATI) to automatically identify the types of ambiguities observed in competing candidate trees produced by the parser and synthesize the types into a formal representation. PATI provides an efficient way of encoding knowledge into grammar rules and calculating rule preference scores from a relatively small training corpus. In the overall scoring scheme for sorting the candidate trees, the rule preference scores are combined with other preference functions that are based on statistical information. We compare the enhanced grammar with the initial one in terms of the amount of ambiguity. The experimental results show that the rule preference scores could significantly increase the accuracy of ambiguity resolution.

A Study on the Factors Related to the Seafood Preference of Elementary School Children

  • This study was undertaken with 237 fifth grade children to investigate the factors, affecting the seafood prefrerence of elementary school children as one of the approaches to find strategies to promote these children's acceptance of seafoods. Subjects for this study were from one public elementary school under meal service located each in Boryeoung-city Chungcheongna Co (coastal area) and Chelowon gen Gangwon do land locked area) The preferences for than those in Boryeong and differences in may items were significant Among four area gender groups girls in Cheolwon had the lowest preference for most seafood items except cephalocoda for which the preference of body in Cheolwon was the lowest Making soup was the least preferred method to cook fish regardless of gender and area, while grilling was the most or the second most preferred in each gender area group Compared to girls bodys had a higher preference for deep frying The seafood preferences of mothers in both areas were similar to those of their children except for processed seafoods which were even more preferred by the children than mothers. Gender, distance from the sea and the method of preparation/cooking seemed to affect the children's preference more than their mother's preference and frequency of serving in the case of seafood. And the effect of gender distance from the sea and cooking methods differed for each seafood category The several suggestions to improve seafood preference especially in land locked area are discussed.

백화점 이용고객의 명품브랜드 선호도 유형에 따른 구매행태 분석 (An Analysis of Purchase Behaviors of Department Store Users based on Types of Preference for Luxury Brands)

  • Purpose - With the increase in fervor to purchase luxury brands, new social problems have arisen, such as excessive preoccupation with luxury brands and high preference for forged luxury goods. Therefore, the issues related to luxury brands, termed "Luxury Syndrome," have emerged as an area of great interest for researchers and practitioners. However, previous studies neglect to categorize this preference for luxury brands. Therefore, this study aims to identify the different purchasing behaviors of consumers using the types of luxury brands preferences as parameters. Research design, data, and methodology - This study arranges a causal relationship model assuming that purchase behaviors positively (+) affect typified preference for luxury brands and purchase intentions. We administered a questionnaire survey to the purchasers who bought luxury brands from department stores to secure additional data necessary to verify the hypotheses in this study. We then processed the data using SPSS 19.0. We further analyzed the basic data using frequency and descriptive statistical analysis, and verified the measurement tools through feasibility and reliability analyses. Moreover, this study uses multiple regression analysis to verify the hypotheses. Further, this study tests the path effect between luxury brand purchase attitude and purchase behavior, with non-intrinsic preference and intrinsic preference as the mediating variables. Results - Based on the results, the impact of tendencies of conspicuous consumption and self-monitoring on non-intrinsic preference was significantly positive (+), while the impact of tendencies of pursuit of a reference group, conspicuous consumption, and self-monitoring on intrinsic preference and purchase intentions was significantly positive (+). Further, non-intrinsic and intrinsic preferences positively (+) influence purchase intentions and the impact of non-intrinsic preference took an absolute portion. However, the tendency of dependence on brands negatively (-) impacts purchase intentions. The results showed that self-monitoring and conspicuous consumption tendencies have greater effect on purchase intention, which is mediated by non-intrinsic preference. In contrast, reference group following tendency has a greater effect on purchase intention, which is mediated by intrinsic preference. Conclusions - Based on the results, the study verifies that the consumption of luxury brands in Korea has not yet entered the settling period. The tendency for conspicuous consumption and the tendency for pursuit of the reference group were relatively important aspects for the consumers who prefer luxury brands non-intrinsically and intrinsically, respectively. Especially, it was found that the purchase intentions for forged brands originate from the tendency to depend on brands. Based on these findings, this study suggests the measures to develop and mature the luxury brands market, and reinforce marketing performance at the three levels, that is, government, distributors, and manufacturers. The luxury brands manufacturers should devote themselves to the production and design of products to catch the attention of mature consumers of luxury brands. The luxury brands distributors should then raise the level of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) for opinion leaders. Finally, the Government should prepare effective policies for the development of luxury brands and provide a variety of economic support.

중학생들의 도덕적 감수성과 과학 선호도 및 과학학습에 대한 신념과의 상관관계 (The Relationships between Moral Sensitivity and Preference for Science, Belief about Learning Science of Middle School Students)

  • 본 연구에서는 중학생들을 대상으로 과학과 관련된 주제에 대한 도덕적 감수성과 과학 선호도, 과학 학습에 대한 신념을 알아보았고, 도덕적 감수성과 과학 선호도, 도덕적 감수성과 과학 학습에 대한 신념간의 상관 관계를 주제별, 성별, 학년별로 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 도덕적 감수성은 성별이나 학년에는 영향을 받지 않았지만, 주제에는 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 과학 선호도는 성별이나 학년에는 영향을 받지 않았고, 과학 학습에 대한 신념은 성별에서는 영향을 받지 않았지만 학년이 올라갈수록 낮아지는 것으로 나타났다. 도덕적 감수성과 과학 선호도 간에는 상관관계를 보였으며, 특히 하위 차원에 따라 여학생과 고학년에서 보다 높은 상관을 나타났다. 도덕적 감수성과 과학 학습에 신념 간의 상관관계는 하위 차원에 따라 일부 나타나는데 특히 여학생과 저학년에서 보다 높은 상관관계를 나타냈다. 이러한 결과는 학생들이 과학을 좋아할수록 과학과 관련된 문제에 대해서 보다 도덕적으로 반응할 수 있음을 보여주며, 도덕적 감수성이 높을수록 과학 공부를 더 재미있어 하고 과학 공부에 대해 긍정적인 신념을 갖는다는 것을 보여준다. 이 연구 결과는 과학교육에서 선호도나 신념과 같은 정의적 영역이 도덕적 감수성과 같은 인성 영역에서도 중요한 부분을 차지할 수 있음을 주장하며, 과학 교과의 도덕적 측면에 대한 교수 학습에 있어서 학생 변인에 따른 차이점을 고려해야함을 시사한다.
