Sensory Image and Preference of the Color Green Shown in Modern Fashion - With Regard to Busan, Ulsan and Gyungnam Area - (현대패션에 나타난 그린 컬러의 감성이미지 및 선호도 - 부산, 울산, 경남 지역을 중심으로 -)

  • After drawing the sensory images from the color green, the difference of sensory images and the difference of the color green according to demographic characteristics and which factors affect the preference have been analysed. The thirty six-photos of 2013 women fashion show on the STYLE.COM were used for the stimuli of green colour fashion for the questionnaire. The people surveyed were adults in their 20s to 50s. The 123 copies of the questionnaire were used for the statistical analysis of this study. Factor analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ test, t-test, ANOVA, Duncan test and Regression analysis test were carried out by SPSS 19 for the statistical analysis of collected data. The results were as follows. The sensory images of green fashion were drawn in six types. The sensory images of green fashion according to demographic characteristics showed a significant difference depending on martial status, age, monthly income and occupation. The preference of green colour fashion according to demographic characteristics showed a significant difference depending on sex, age, monthly income, occupation. The variables affecting the preference of green fashion were identified as four types, and the most affecting variable to the preference was the favorable and familiar factor. These research results will become available on selecting the target customer and making the marketing differentiation strategy when planning fashion products.

The Effect of Taste Preference on Anthropometric Measurements and Nutrient intakes in Children (맛 선호도가 학령기 아동의 체위 및 영양소 섭취량에 미치는 영향)

  • This study investigated the effect of taste preference(sweet, sour, salty, hot) on anthropometric measurements and nutrient intakes of 256 primary school children in Kwangju. There was no significant difference in the anthropometric measurements according to the sweet taste preference. Height, weight, triceps, abdomen, and chest circumferences of the group preferring a sour taste, however, were significantly lower than those of the other groups. The height of the group preferring a salty taste was significantly shorter than that of the other groups and there was a tendency toward high systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure. The waist circumference of the group not preferring the hot taste was larger than those of the other groups. There was no significant difference in the energy intake according to the sweet taste preference. The protein intake of the group preferring a sweet taste as significantly lower than that of the other groups. The fiber intake of the group preferring a sour taste was significantly higher than that of the other groups. There were no significant differences in the nutrient intakes according to the salty taste preference. The energy intake of the group preferring a hot taste was lower than that of the other groups. The results show that children's taste preferences influence anthropometric measurements and nutrient intakes. These results suggest that children's eating behaviors are in needs of correction. The findings of this study should be applied to nutrition education to ensure better physical fitness of children.

Effect of Temperature on Color and Color-Preference of Industry -Produced Kochujang during Storage (저장 온도가 공장산 고추장의 변색 및 기호도에 미치는 영향)

  • changes in HMF content, capsanthin content, Hunter tirstimulus values, color-preference, and pruchasing intent were investigated during storage of industry-produced kochujang packed with polyethylene and nylon complex film at 13, 27 and 37$^{\circ}C$. HMF content, which was very low at initial , did not showed significant increase during storage at 13$^{\circ}C$ for 180 days, but the accumulation of HMF was accelerated by higher temperature. Capsanthin content decreased more rapidly at higher temperature . L values decreased up to 60 days of storage and the storage temperature had little influence on the rate . But, after 60 days, L value decreased more slowly at 13 than at 27 and 37$^{\circ}C$ , a and b values showed linear decrease at 37$^{\circ}C$, but increase in a and b values at 13 and 27 $^{\circ}C$ during early storage was followed by decrease. ΔE decreased more rapidly at higher temperature . Color-preference and purchasing-intent for kochujang decreased during storage at 27 and 37 $^{\circ}C$, but did not show significant changes during storage at 13 $^{\circ}C$ for 180 days. L, and ΔE values of kochujang stored at 37 and 27Δ showed positive correlation with color-preference, but Hunter tristimulus values of Kochujang stored at 13$^{\circ}C$ did not show not any significant correlation with color preference.

A Study of Female College Students' Behavior and Ideal Breakfast Types -II. Dining-out Behavior of Breakfast and Preference on Breakfast Menu- (여대생의 아침식사 실태와 이상적 아침식사 유형을 위한 연구 -II. 아침식사 외식양상과 아침식단에 대한 기호도-)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the dining-out behavior of breakfast and preference on the menu of female college students. 500 questionnaires were distributed and 417 were used for statistical analysis(SAS program). This survey was conducted from June, 2000 to October, 2000. 72.8% of the respondents thought there were problems in eating breakfast. The problems were 'skipping breakfast frequently(33.1%)', 'short eating time(20.9%)', 'simple menu(18.8%)'. Preference of dining-out breakfast menus were 'bread & milk(43.8%)', 'conventional menu(34.7%)', 'snack(15.5%)', soup or 'porridge(6.0%)'. A general preference of breakfast menus were conventional (63.7%), 'bread & milk(21.1%)', 'milk and breakfast cereal(8.7%)', 'soup or porridge(6.5%)'. Increase on the amount of monthly allowance decreased the preference of conventional type of breakfast(P<0.05). The questions about the breakfast were 'what is the best menus for breakfast(49.2%)', 'alternative to rice(17.1%)', 'the amounts of breakfast(12.1%)'. But there was no significant difference among these variables. In conclusion, development of convenient & well-balanced breakfast model and nutritional education are needed to increase the nutritional status of female college students.

A Study on Clothing Design Preference and Purchase associated with Gender of the Aging (노인의 성에 따른 의복 디자인 선호 및 구매에 관한 연구)

  • The objectives of this study were to examine how clothing design preference and clothing attitude vary according to gender of the aging. Using the data collected through interview with 200 subjects who were 60years of age and older residing at Kunsan city area in Korea. These data were analyzed by frequency and $\chi$$^2$-test. The tendency of the gender on jacket stymie preference showed that men liked the soutien collar jacket, two button sing1e Jacket, and four button double jacket, women liked two button single jacket, three button single Jacket and four button double jacket. The general preference did allot depend on the practical purchasing. Men preferred more the soutien collar jacket than the women. On the shirts pattern preference, men liked thick horizon and plaid pattern, while the women liked polk dots pattern and small flowered one. The practical clothing purchase was done by themselves directly. The important criteria depended on the appearance style like simple and smart. For the main complaining factor to purchase the clothes, men considered the color, and women complained not to have suitable shopping stores. The most of all complaining was the expensive prices.

The Effects of the Structural Characteristics of Women's Jacket Fabrics for Spring.Summer on the Sensibility Image and Consumer Preference: The Comparison of Offline and Online (춘.하 여성 재킷용 소재의 구조적 특성이 감성이미지와 소비자 선호에 미치는 영향: 오프라인과 온라인의 비교를 중심으로)

  • This research was designed to compare the subjective evaluation of texture image and preference between offline and online by structural characteristics of women' jacket fabrics for spring and summer. 78 participants evaluated the sensibility image and preference of various fabrics. The data were analysed by factor analysis, t-test, Pearson's productive correlation, regression, and multi dimensional scale. The results were as follows: Sensibility image factors of women' jacket fabrics were 'classic' 'sophisticated' 'natural' 'characteristic' and 'practical'. Between offline and online, sensibility images showed no differences. In sensibility images, 'classic'-'sophisticated', 'natural'-'practical', and 'practical'-'characteristic' images showed significant correlation. By analyzing the contribution of fabric structure on sensibility images, density affected on the 'classic' image offline and online. By the results of regression analysis, thickness, density and weave affected on the tactile preference. In sensibility images, 'classic', 'sophisticated' 'characteristic' images were the influencing factor. 'Sophisticated', 'natural', 'characteristic' and 'practical' images affected on the purchase preference.

A Study of Purchasing Behaviors on Female Markets Segmented by Clothing Image Preference (선호의복이미지에 의한 여성 세분시장의 구매행동 연구)

  • The purposes of this study were to segment female consumers on the basis of their clothing image preference, and to investigate the clothing purchasing behaviors of each segmented market. The research method was a questionnaire survey and participants were 700 women aged from 20's to 60's in Daejeon and Chungnam province. The questionnaire consisted of items for clothing image preference, clothing purchasing behaviors and the participants' demographic characteristics. The data were analyzed by Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, factor analysis, cluster analysis, ${\chi}^2$ test, ANOVA and the Scheff$\'{e}$ test. The results were as follows. Female consumers were divided into 7 types(sophisticated, natural, characteristic, elegant, active, feminine, and neat type) by clothing image preference. The 7 segmented market groups differed in many ways in terms of demographic characteristics and various clothing purchasing behaviors(clothing selection criteria, purchasing motives, fashion information sources, places of purchase, shopping frequency, and quantity and cost of purchases). The results of this study supported the view that clothing image preference can be a useful and effective variable for female market segmentation.

A Study on the Factors of Impulse Buying of Clothing and Their Relation to Fashion Involvement and Becognized Brand Preference of College Women (여대생의 의복 충동구매 차원과 충동구매에 영향을 미치는 변인 연구 -유행몰입과 유명상표 선호도와의 관련성을 중심으로-)

  • The main purpose of this research was to classify the contents of impulse buying of clothing products and to investigate how the impulse buying was influenced by fashion involvement, recognized brand preference, and impulsiveness. Samples were 238 college women in Seoul, Korea. The results of the research were as follows. 1. Four factors of impulse buying derived by factor analysis; F 1 'sensitive aspects of products stimulation'; F. 2 'utility aspects of products stimulation'; F. 3 'consumer situation stimulation'; F. 4 'marketing situation stimulation'. 2. Impulsiveness had a positive relation with impulse buying, fashion involvement, and recognized brand preference. Fashion involvement had a positive relation with recognized brand preference and impulse buying. 3. Impulse buying was influenced by fashion involvement and impulsiveness. The explanatory power of the 2 variables was 9.3%. 4. Fashion involvement was influenced by sensitive aspects of products stimulation, major, recognized brand preference, income, and grade. The explanatory power of the 5 variables was 23.7%. 5. Recognized brand preference was influenced by income, fashion involvement, and marketing situation stimulation. The explanatory power of the 3 variables was 11.2%.

The Analysis of Men's Wear Color Preference between Korean and Chinese College Women -Focusing on Tone in Tone Coloration- (한.중 여대생의 남성복 색채 선호도 분석 -톤 인 톤 배색을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the analysis of men's wear color preference between Korean and Chinese college women. The experimental materials developed for this study were a set of stimulus and response scales. The 24 color pictures and 5-point scales were used for evaluation of preference. Data were obtained from 120 Korean college women living in Kyeongnam, Korea and 120 Chinese college women living in Shandog, China on October and November 2010. For data analysis, ANOVA and Duncan-test were used by using SPSS program. Results of this study were as follows. Korean and Chinese college women, shirts hue, tie hue, and shirts/tie tone showed an independent effect on men's wear color preference. Interaction effects of Korean and Chinese college women and shirts hue, Korean and Chinese college women and tie hue, suit hue and shirts hue, shirts hue and shirts/tie tone, and tie hue and shirts/tie tone were found. These results suggested that men's wear color preference can be affected by Korean and Chinese college women, suit hue, shirts hue, tie hue, and shirts/tie tone.

  • The research analyzed the clothing attitude which it follows in type of performance musical instrument and a design preference moral difference. The result which tries to observe the clothing attitude which it follows in type of performance musical instrument and a design preference moral difference, it was visible a difference little by little. When comparison it tries the design which it prefers but consequently most in type of performance musical instrument, the big difference is not born and not to be putting the difference of the preference design which it follows in type of musical instrument specific your neck line, color, and silhouette of the vocal musician or wind music performer. When seeing whole, the clothing attitude regarding a performance luck compared to considered seriously an aesthetic pursuit and a convenient characteristic and harmonious, there design preference is the clothes which have no sleeve, neckline like camisole, black and pastel color, design with lots of decorations, princess silhouette, and they prefer the fabrics which have softness to it. Now, I want to introduce restriction of this research and proposal. First, the fundamental research of performance's clothes is insufficient with restricted point and the literature investigation is difficult, second, it was difficult to stretch the whole market for performers because of limitation for research volunteers. Only few volunteers are from college who are majoring in music.
