졸-겔법에 의한 Cobalt 치환된 Ba-ferrite 분말의 자기적 특성 (Magnetic Properties of Co-substituted Ba-ferrite Powder by Sol-gel Method)

  • 본 연구에서는 TMS[Tetramethylsilane:$Si(CH_3)_4$], $NH_3$$H2$를 이용하여 나노크기의 Si-C-N precursor 분말을 합성하기 위하여 CVC법을 이용하였으며 반응온도, TMS/$NH_3$ 비 그리고 TMS/$H_2$ 비를 변화시켰다. XRD와 FESEM 분석을 통해서 결정상과 입자의 크기 그리고 입자의 형태를 관찰하고자 하였으며, 그 결과 제조된 분말은 모든 실험 조건하에서 87∼130 nm 크기를 지닌 균일한 구형의 비정질 분말이 얻어졌다. 입자 크기는 반응온도의 감소에 따라 감소하였으며, 또한 TMS/$NH_3$, TMS/$H_2$ 비가 작아질수록 감소하였다. EA 분석 결과 제조된 분말은 Si, N, C, H로 이루어졌음을 알 수 있었으며 FT-IR를 통하여 Si-N, C-N, Si-C 결합을 가진 Si-C-N precursor 분말이 제조되었다.

  • Isotocin (IT)은 포유류의 oxytocin과 유사한 호르몬으로 어류의 행동 조절과 스트레스에 대한 반응, 그리고 삼투압 조절에 이르기까지 다양한 생리반응에 관여한다고 추정된다. 해수 관상어인 cinnamon clownfish의 IT 유전자 구조와 기능을 연구하기 위하여 genomic DNA와 뇌의 cDNA 주형으로부터 유전자를 확보하였다. 세 개의 exon과 156개의 아미노산을 표지하는 ORF로 이루어진 IT 전구물질 유전자는 19개 아미노산으로 이루어진 신호 부위, 9개 아미노산 호르몬 부위, 3개 아미노산의 효소 조절 부위, 그리고 125개 아미노산의 neurophysin 호르몬 부위로 구성되었다. 조직별 RT-PCR 분석결과는 IT 전구물질 유전자가 뇌와 생식소에서 발현됨을 보여준다. 해수 (34 ppt) 적응 개체의 아가미에서는 염류세포 바깥 표면에 apical crypt가 보이는데 비하여, 15 ppt로 낮춘 저염분 적응 개체의 아가미는 표면이 pavement cell로 덮여있는 평평한 구조를 보여준다. 아가미 세포의 Na+/K+-ATPase 활성은 저염분 순응 초기에 증가하다 시간이 지날수록 정상 수준을 회복하는 양상을 보여주는데, 이는 prolactin과 같이 저염분 초기순응 및 항상성 유지에 관여함을 의미한다. 하지만 저염분 순응 시 미량 증가하는 IT 전구체 mRNA는 초기 삼투조절에 미치는 역할이 미미함을 보여준다.

Analysis of Fourier Transform Jet Emission Spectra of CN $(B^{2}{\Sigma}^+{\rightarrow}X^{2}{\Sigma}^+)$

  • The CN radical was generated in a jet with an inert buffer gas, helium from high voltage dc discharge of the precursor $CH_3CN$. The Fourier transform emission spectra of the O-O band of the $(B^2{\Sigma}^+{\to}X^2{\Sigma}^+)$ transition of CN have been obtained with a Bruker IFS-120HR spectrometer. The spectra show an anomalous distribution of rotational intensity which cannot be explained by a simple Boltzmann distribution. The analysis of the transition frequencies provides molecular constants with high accuracy for both the ground and the excited electronic states of the CN radical.

Proteomic Analysis of Differentially Expressed Proteins in Bovine Endometrium with Endometritis

  • Endometritis is one of the primary reasons for reproductive failure. In order to investigate endometritis-associated marker proteins, proteomic analysis was performed on bovine endometrium with endometritis. In bovine endometritis, desmin, $\alpha$-actin-2, heat-shock protein (HSP) 27, peroxiredoxin-6, luteinizing hormone receptor isoform 1, collectin-43 precursor, deoxyribonuclease-I (DNase-I), and MHC class I heavy chain (MHC-Ih) were up-regulated. In contrast, transferrin, interleukin-2 precursor, hemoglobin $\beta$ subunit, and potassium channel tetramerisation domaincontaining 11 (KCTD11) were down-regulated in comparison to normal endometrium. The proteomic results were validated by semiquantitative-PCR and immunoblot analysis. The mRNA levels of desmin, transferrin, $\alpha$-actin-2, HSP27, KCTD11, and MHC-Ih were up-regulated by over 1.5-fold, and showed a pattern similar to their proteomic profiles. Desmin and $\alpha$-actin-2 protein showed positive correlations between proteomic analysis and immunoblot analysis. These results suggest that desmin and $\alpha$-actin-2 may play important roles in endometritis-related function, and could be useful markers for the diagnosis of bovine endometritis.

LED용 precursor 재이용을 위한 회수 및 정제 공정 개발 (Development of Reuse Process Through Recovery and Refinement of Precursor for LED)

  • 본 연구에서는 metal organic chemical vapor deposition(유기금속화학증기증착, MOCVD) 장치로 부터 LED용 GaN epi 성장 시원료로 사용되는 트리메틸갈륨에 대해서 사용 후 잔량을 회수하고 정제하여 재이용할 수 있는 공정 및 시스템을 개발하고자 한다. 본 공정에서 회수된 트리메틸갈륨에 대해서 화학적, 구조적 특성 평가를 통해서 재이용 가능여부를 검토하였다. 먼저 ICP-MS, ICPAES를 이용하여 순도를 분석한 결과 7N(99.99999%)의 고순도 트리메틸갈륨임을 확인했으며, NMR 분석을 통해서 트리메틸갈륨의 구조적 변화를 확인한 결과, 구조 변화 없이 순수 $(CH_3)_3Ga$(트리메틸갈륨) 구조임을 확인하였다. 또한 회수 트리메틸갈륨에 대한 신뢰성 검토를 위해서 MOCVD 공정을 이용하여 u-GaN를 증착시키고, 결정 특성 평가 및 광학 전기적 특성 평가를 실시하였으며 그 결과, 재이용이 가능함을 알 수 있었다.

Occurrence of Disinfection By-Products and Distribution in Drinking Water

  • Chlorine disinfection has been used in drinking water supply to disinfect the water-borne microbial disease which may cause to serious human disease. As Chlorination is still the least costly, relatively easy to use, chlorination is the primary means to disinfect portable water supplies and control bacterial growth in the distribution system. However, chlorine also reacts with natural organic matter (NOM), which presents in nearly all water sources, and then produces disinfection by-product (DBps), which may have adverse health effects. Although the existent DBPs have been reported in drinking water supplies, it is not feasible to predict the levels of the various DBPs due to the complex chemistry reaction involved. The objectives of this study were to investigate seasonal variation of DBPs formation and difference of DBPs concentration in the plant to tap water. The average concentration of THMs was 20.04 ${\mu}g/{\ell}$, HAAs 8-15 ${\mu}g/{\ell}$, HANs 2-4.5 ${\mu}g/{\ell}$ respectively. Distant variation of DBPs formation is that THMs concentration increase by 17% at 2 km point from the plant and by 28% at 7 km and HAAs, HANs also increase each by 16%, 32%, at 2 km from the plant and 35%, 56%, at 7 km. DBPs increase in water supply pipe continually. The seasonal occurrence of DBPs is that in May and August DBPs concentration is very high then in March, in May DBPs concentration is highest. The temperature is main factor of DBPs formation, precursor also. Precursor which was accumulated for winter flowed into the raw water by flooding in spring and summer and produced DBPs. Therefore for the supply of secure drinking water, it is required to protect precursor of flowing into raw water and to add to BCAA and DBAA to drinking water standards.

질산염 전구체 원료로 Ex-situ 공정에 의한 GdBCO 박막 제조 (Preparation of GdBCO Thin Film by Ex-situ Process using Nitrate Precursors)

  • Many research groups have been manufacturing coated conductor by various processes such as PLD, MOD, and MOCVD, but the methods with production cost suitable for wide and massive application of coated conductor did not develop yet. Spray pyrolysis method adopting ultrasonic atomization was tried as one of the possible option. GdBCO precursor films have been deposited on IBAD substrate by spray pyrolysis method at low temperature and converted to GdBCO by post heat treatment. Ultrasonic atomization was used to generate fine droplets from precursor solution of Gd, Ba, and Cu nitrate dissolved in water. Primary GdBCO films were deposited at $500^{\circ}C$ and oxygen partial pressure of 1 torr. After that, the films were converted at various temperatures and low oxygen partial pressures. C-Axis oriented films were obtained IBAD substrates at conversion temperature of around $870^{\circ}C$ and oxygen partial pressures of 500 mtorr ~ 1 torr in a vacuum. Thick c-axis epitaxial film with the thickness of 0.4 ~ 0.5 ${\mu}m$ was obtained on IBAD substrate. C-axis epitaxial GdBCO films were successfully prepared by ex-situ methods using nitrate precursors on IBAD metal substrate. Converted GdBCO films have very dense microstructures with good grain connectivity. EDS composition analysis of the film showed a number of Cu-rich phase in surface. The precursor solution having high copper concent with the composition of Gd : Ba : Cu = 1 : 2 : 4 showed the better grain connectivity and electrical conductivity.

  • Characteristics of $TiO_2$nanoparticles controlled by precursor flow rate and reaction temperature in chemical vapor condensation process were interpreted in the view of decisive reaction factors, i.e. supersaturation ratio, concentration of vapor molecule, collision frequency and rate, and residence time, which directly affect the particle size and size distribution in CVC reactor. As results, the increases of precursor flow rate and reaction temperature induced the increase in the average sizes of $TiO_2$ nanoparticles in CVC reactor by acceleration of coagulation growth due to the increase of collision between $TiO_2$vapor molecules and particles. The effects of reaction factors on the characteristics of$TiO_2$nanoparticles were discussed with considering particle formation process in CVC reactor under given process parameters.

  • The milling effects of a precursor $Y_2BaCuO_5$ (Y211) powder having 1 wt.% $CeO_2$ on the microstructure and critical current density ($J_c$) of liquid infiltration growth (LIG) processed $YBa_2Cu_3O_{7-y}$ (Y-123) bulk superconductors were investigated. The microstructure analysis revealed that the Y211 size in the final Y-123 products decreased with increasing the milling time and a relatively high density and uniform distribution of Y211 inclusions were observed in the sample prepared using 8 h milled powder. However, the unexpected Y211 particles coarsening was observed from the 4 h milled sample which was further increased for 10 h milled sample. Critical current density ($J_c$) of the LIG processed Y-123 bulk superconductors was found to be dependent on the milling time of the Y211 precursor powder. The $J_c$ increased with the increase of milling time and reached up to a maximum at 8 h in the self field while 10 h milled sample showed lower $J_c$ at the same field which might be due to the exaggerated growth and non-uniform distribution of Y211 particles.

Sol-Coprecipitation 법에 의한 NO 감지용 $WO_3$ 센서 제조시 pH의 영향 (Influence of pH on Sensitivity of $WO_3$ NO gas sensor fabricated by Sol-Coprecipitation method)

  • 입자들이 용액에 녹아있을 때 pH에 따라서 다른 zeta-potential을 가지게 되며, 이것은 입자의 분산상태에 영향을 주게 된다. NO 센서에서 $WO_3$ 입자의 크기는 감도에 큰 영향을 끼치므로 Sol-Coprecipitation법에 의한 $WO_3$ 센서 제조 시에 $WO_3$ precursor 상태에서의 pH의 영향을 알아보았다. 먼저 $WO_3$ precursor의 전기적 포텐셜을 측정하여 pH가 2에서 7로 변함에 따라 mobility가 증가하여 7일 때에 가장 큰 분산도를 가진 것을 알 수 있었고, 이는 powder 제조 후 입도 분석, 감지막의 XRD peak, 표면사진으로부터 확인 할 수 있었다. 결과적으로 감도 특성에도 영향을 끼쳐 pH=7에서 제조한 센서가 다른 pH에서 제조한 센서보다 감도가 우수한 것으로 나타났다.
