Investigations on the symbolic role, spiritual health benefits and efficacy of the clothing items of the Ga wolomo (chief priest) have received little attention. Highlighting the relevance of these clothes, this paper focuses on the chief priest's dress code for his appointment, confinement, ordination, ceremonial and daily life activities. Data were collected through content analysis, participant observation and interviews with people from selected Ga communities, such as La, Teshie and Ga Mashie. The findings revealed that the selection of the chief priest is confirmed with a special clothing item. His traditional clothes and adornment also have meanings, importance and symbolic interpretations; explained in their uses, colour and style. As the spiritual head, the role of the chief priest's costume is very distinguished and symbolic in executing his duties; protecting, strengthening faith, confidence and assurance during spiritual healing, and when solving pertinent problems in the community. The paper concludes by recommending further research and documentation on other aspects of the Ga clothing culture, such as hand items and hair styles from the pre-colonial period to the present.

The development of a protocol for high efficiency of embryogenic callus separation, maintenance and plant regeneration from the seeds of zoysiagrass cv. Zenith was studied. Embryogenic callus ratio is absolutely determined by genotype, but by adding high concentration of copper into medium, changing light condition and maintaining callus on initial induction medium for 8∼10 weeks, embryogenic callus can be easily distinguished and its growth can be promoted. There were significant differences among selected callus lines (each from one seed) according to their growth rates and regeneration percentages. Callus pre-treatment with activated charcoal inhibited callus growth, increased the level of precocious germination during culture and promoted shoot cluster formation after transfer to regeneration medium. For long-term callus maintenance, N6AA medium was better than MS medium, because the former inhibited non-embryogenic callus formation and kept vigor of embryogenic callus. The best callus lines Z-(5) has been successfully used for transformation and somaclonal variation selection in our laboratory.

A prediction method of conditional event matching pre-diction (EMP) for a purpose of predicting nonlinear phenomena of insulator pollution was proposed in this paper. The EMP was used if the conditional probability for increase of insulator pollution exceeded a threshold value. A performance of the EMP was strongly related to selection of database of events and a closeness function. By use of the prediction of the insulator pollution based on the conditional EMP, reliable decision making for the washing timing of the polluted insulators was e-valuated based on actual data in Kasatsu substation, Japan.

Demographic transition drives changes in consumer demand for food products. This study examines how rising incomes and population trends affect spending on food purchased for home. The objective of this study is to characterize the relationships between selected socio-demographic factors and food selection among South Korean households. Panel data from Rural Development Administration (RDA) in South Korea in 2010 was used (n=971). Household food purchases were classified into one of the five food groups from Composition of Foods of RDA. Multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the effects of household size and income based on the expenditure share on each food group. All statistical analyses were performed using SAS/ PC version 9.3. Results show that household socio- demographic characteristics have a strong influence on food purchasing, with the purchase of vegetables and fruit, and processed food and pre-packaged being particularly sensitive.

Common root rot caused by Cochliobolus sativus is a serious disease of barley. A simple and reliable method for assessing this disease would enhance our capacity in identifying resistance sources and developing resistant barley cultivars. In searching for such a method, a conidial suspension of C. sativus was dropped onto sterilized elongated subcrown internodes and incubated in sandwich filter paper using polyethylene transparent envelopes. Initial disease symptoms were easily detected after 48h of inoculation. Highly significant correlation coefficients were found in each experiment (A, B and C) between sandwich filter paper and seedling assays, indicating that this testing procedure was reliable. The method presented facilitates a rapid pre-selection under uniform conditions which is of importance from a breeder's point of view.

Tube hydroforming is a relatively new technology compared to conventional stamping. thus there is little knowledge base that can be utilized for process and die design. To remedy this situation considerable research is now being conducted by many researchers on significant aspects of tube hydroforming technology including material selection pre-form design hydroforking process and tool design. in the tube hydroforming process we frequently experence many failure modes like wrinkling. buckling folding back and fracture under the improper forming conditions. In this paper forming limit for failure occurrence such as fracture and wrinkling is examined theoretically and the result is compared with Back's experimental result.

연골판 절제술로 인한 슬관절의 퇴행성 변화와 이로 인한 임상적 증상을 예방하기 위해 연골판의 기능을 수복할 동종 연골판 이식술이 필요하다. 환자들에게 만성 전방십자인대 파열이나, 연골 손상, 내반 변형 등 동반되는 상황이 있을 수 있으므로 이에 대한 적절한 수술 전 준비가 필요하고, 동종 연골판 이식술 후 좋은 결과를 얻기 위해 적절한 환자의 선택이 중요하다.

Dynamic L/UL system has many merits, but it can develop an undesirable collision during dynamic loading process. In this paper, the dynamics of negative pressure pico slider during the loading process was investigated by numerical simulation. A simplified L/UL model for the suspension system was presented, and a simulation code was built to analyze the motion of the slider. A slider deigns have been simulated at various disk rotating speeds, skew angles of slider. By selection an optimal RPM and pre-skew angle, we can decrease the amount of collision and smoothen the loading process for a given slider-suspension design.

The purpose of this study was to synthesize the results of studies on the effects of multi-cultural education program for Korean children. Using the author's own selection criteria, 17 studies were finally selected and 31 effect sizes were calculated from these studies and used for meta analysis. The overall effect size for all studies on the random effect model was .802, and it was positive and high. Given the heterogeneity among the effect size, subgroup analysis was conducted. According to the analysis, effect sizes significantly differed depending on program goal, concerned multi-cultural higher than others. Result also showed that the high scored effect sizes were the general family, pre-school age children group, and the program were 11-20 children group in size, and 11~20 times in frequency of education.

In this paper, a pre-layout design approach for high-speed microprocessor is proposed. For multilayer PCB stark up configuration as well as selection and placement of decoupling capacitors, an effective solution for reducing SSN and EMI is obtained by modeling and simulation of complete power distribution system. The system model includes VRM, decoupling capacitors, multiple power and ground planes for core voltage, vias, as well as microprocessor. Finally, the simulation results are verified by measurements data.
