  • A graphic vehicle modeling pre-processing program and a visualization post-processing program have been developed for AutoDyn7, which is a special program for vehicle dynamics. The Rapid-App for GUI(Graphic User Interface) builder and the Open Inventor for 3D graphic library have been employed to develop these programs in Silicon Graphics workstation. A Graphic User Interface program integrates vehicle modeling pre-processor, AutoDyn7 analysis processor, and visualization post-processor. In vehicle modeling pre-processor, vehicle hard point data for a suspension model are automatically converted into multibody vehicle system data. An interactive graphics capabilities provides suspension modeling aides to verify user input data interactively. In visualization post-processor, vehicle virtual test simulation results are animated with virtual testing environments.

  • A CELTHYM(CEll-based Long-term HYdrologic Model), a pre-processor and a post-processor that can he integrated with geographic information system(GIS) were developed to predict the stream flow of a small agricultural watershed. Three kinds of routines, that are watershed boundary extraction routine(WBER), curve number calculation routine(CNR) and maximum available soil moisture calculation routine(MASR) composed pre-processor that was nicely interfaced with CELTRYM and GIS. Two kinds of routines, grapher and map composer composed post-processor that was well adapted CELTHYM output to chart making and GIS map making. The developed pre-post processor was useful for the GIS integration and spatial comprehension of the CELTHYM output.

  • The Pre-processor program for CFD is being developed using wxWidgets and OpenGL libraries. This program can be run on both Windows and Linux operating systems. Undergraduate students and beginners can learn and use this very easily by menu and templates. Until now, structured mesh can be created in Cartesian or Cylindrical coordinates. This program will be used easily to make various type of meshes using templates.

  • In structural analysis using FEM or BEM, pre_ and post_processor is necessary pre_ and post_processor and analyzer use same structural model. But many other tasks related to structural design, such as optimization, design of layout, etc, do not share that model in spite of their resemblance of requiring data. So, a pre_ and post_ processor was developed using a relational database managing system. Developed system uses the DBMS as a data storage and interacts with it using SQL interface. In this way, many other tasks that uses same structural data can be developed.

  • The simulation system for analyzing the ceramic drying process is developed. This system consists of 3 parts: pre-processor, analyzer, and post-processor. The pre-processor creates 3-dimensional ceramics, makes finite-element models, and prepares analyzers input. The analyzer computes temperature, moisture, residual stress, displacement, etc. during the drying process using the information about finite-element model, material property, and boundary condition provided by the pre-processor. In post-processor, the analyzers results are visualized to help designers evaluation of the drying of the ceramic.

  • The use of Pre-processor for building structural analysis used to rely upon filling up fixed format data, which was ineffective and error-prone. This research attempts to integrate structural analysis system with DBMS and CAD system in order to make it easy to exchange data between pre-process, analysis, and post-process stages. Automatic generation of database from pre-process stage allows easy preparation of main input data for other structural analysis programs. CAD system with some sub-programs written in LISP and C works as a graphic user interface. This approach gives an easy, effective and error-free way of inputing data for structural analysis.

  • The EDISON is a platform that supports numerical analysis for problem solving in computational science and engineering. We provide a cloud service for users, and provide an environment to access and execution of the simulation service on the web. For now, the EDISON platform provides simulation services for eight applied field on computational science engineering. Users can check the numerical analysis result by web in the computational science and engineering platform. In addition, various services such as community activity with other researchers, and the configuration of simulation environment by user 's needs can be provided. A representative service of the EDISON platform is a web-based simulation service that performs numerical analysis for problem solving of various computational science and engineering. Currently, EDISON platform provides workbench simulation service. It is the web-based simulation execution environment, and result analysis to provide simulation regardless of various personal computing resource or environment in each numerical analysis. In this paper, we build an interface for pre and post processor that can be used in conjunction with the workbench-based simulation service provided by EDISON platform. We provide a development environment with interface that is implemented by applying a pre and post processor optimized for the simulation service. According to simulation and execution are performed by linking the new workbench-based simulation service to the pre and post processor.

  • A window-based multibody dynamics program CADyna(Computer Aided Dynamics) is developed and applied for kinematic and dynamic analysis ova steering system. The program is composed oft pre-processor, a main processor, and a post-processor. The pre-processor is developed with Visual C7+ and the post-processor is developed with OpenGL and TeeChart. The main processor generates the equations of motion employing velocity transformation technique. The developed program is customized for the design of an intermediate shaft in a steering system.

  • A laser Doppler vibrometer based on the laser heterodyne interferometry is employed to measure the vibration velocity of vibrating objects. In this paper, we propose a real time analog signal processor of a laser Doppler vibrometer to reduce the degradation of Doppler signals mainly caused by environmental noises. In the proposed real time signal processor of an laser Doppler vibrometer, a pre-processor and a logical motion direction detector are designed to reduce the detection errors of the object motion direction. Also, a noise detection and rejection circuit is designed to reject the unfiltered noises.

  • In this study on machine measuring system based on solid feature was developed. This system was applied with injection mold using 3 dimensional solid modeler for verification. Developed program include pre-processor, main processor, and post processor. In pre-processor there are functions which check intersection, simulate motion of probe and calculate measuring time. Main processor generates measuring path and output NC code in Unigraphics. In post-processor functions that include evaluation of undercut or overcut and display of measuring procedure are offered. In addition analysis module for quality control of measured data on manufactured product was developed with geometric and dimensional tolerance concept. As the result developed program could get stability of system, precision of product, rapidity and cost down of manufacturing process compared with before measuring process.
