  • To meet the urgent requirements of safety surveillance from civil engineering management authorities, this study proposes a refined and efficient approach to generate full-field high-resolution panorama of construction sites using camera-amounted UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle). GPS (Global Position System) information extraction for pre-registration, feature points filtering for efficient registration and optimal seaming line seeking for fusion are performed in sequence to form the full-field panorama generation framework. Advantages of the proposed method are as follows. First, GPS information can sort images for pre-registration, avoiding inefficient repeated pairwise calculations and matching. Second, the feature points are filtered according to the characteristics of the construction site images to reduce the amount of calculation. The proposed framework is validated on a road construction site and results demonstrate that it can generate an accurate and high-quality full-site panorama for the safety supervision in a much efficient manner.

  • Wheat is the most abundant crop in the world, accounting for one third of the world's population diet. In Ukraine, wheat is in fact, in addition to its nutritional value, a national symbol of the state. Therefore, the main thesis on the development of modern plant growing in Ukraine is the reduction of costs and the introduction of innovative technologies. The quality of grain and seed depends on many factors, namely: agro-climatic conditions, sowing condition of the seed material, quality characteristics of the soil, yielding properties of seeds, pre-sowing seed treatment. etc. For this purpose, the photosynthesis and intensity of photosynthesis need to be limited to the width of the leaf and the height of the leaves by a smaller cut of the stem. It is extremely important to ensure that the head and side pagons of wheat are in good condition. All parameters are often secured by the technology of grain preparation before delivery. Prior to this technology, it is possible to introduce processing of the material in the form for the development of the material. This article presents the effectiveness of the use of infrared irradiation for the pre-sowing treatment of winter wheat seeds in Sekobra Research, Germany.

  • Digital redesign is yet another efficient tool to convert a pre-designed analog controller into a sampled-data one to maintain the analog closed-loop performance in the sense of state matching. A rising difficulty in developing a digital redesign technique for trackers with time-varying references is the unavailability of a closed-form discrete-time model of a system, even if it is linear time-invariant. A way to resolve this is to approximate the time-varying reference as a piecewise constant one, which deteriorates the state matching performance. Another remedy may be to decrease a sampling period, which however could numerically destabilize the optimization-based digital redesign condition. In this paper, we develop a digital redesign condition for time-varying trackers by approximating the time-varying reference through a triangular hold and by introducing delta-operated discrete-time models. It is shown that the digitally redesigned sampled-data tracker recovers the performance of the pre-designed analog tracker under a fast sampling limit. Simulation results on the formation flying of satellites convincingly show the effectiveness of the development.

  • Process monitoring of output variables affecting final performance have been mainly executed in semiconductor manufacturing process. However, even earlier detection of causes of output variation cannot completely prevent yield loss because a number of wafers after detecting them must be re-processed or cast away. Semiconductor manufacturers have put more attention toward monitoring process inputs to prevent yield loss by early detecting change-point of the process. In the paper, we propose the method to efficiently monitor functional input variables in multi-phase semiconductor manufacturing process. Measured input variables in the multi-phase process tend to be of functional structured form. After data pre-processing for these functional input data, change-point analysis is practiced to the pre-processed data set. If process variation occurs, key variables affecting process variation are selected using contribution plot for monitoring efficiency. To evaluate the propriety of proposed monitoring method, we used real data set in semiconductor manufacturing process. The experiment shows that the proposed method has better performance than previous output monitoring method in terms of fault detection and process monitoring.

  • This study explores the critical reflection process experienced by home economics preservice teachers during practicum. Data were collected in a critical analysis of class, practicum review, and journals written by sixteen preservice teachers. Text material were composed of 188 transcripts on A4 paper and 36 page of mini-notes. The collected data were analyzed by a thematic coding method in qualitative research and proceeded in the order of three steps of transference, coding, and subject discovery. The emerging themes were: 1) Observing class 2) Practicing class 3) Growth of class practice 4) Reflecting class. First, the observing class was an exploration process through the viewing of daily classes that involved the process of recognizing the classroom situation and various classroom contexts. Second, the practicing class was to strengthen the consideration of the class to form a relationship that could lead to learning in educational situations. Third, the growth of class practice was intended to recognize the orientation of the subject matter with pedagogical content knowledge. Four, the reflecting class was the process of experiencing practice with a continuous understanding of the class, class reflection, and changing the perspective from the current status. There is a part where critical reflection is difficult to be promoted deeply during 4 weeks; however, there was a possibility of a reflection practice that could promote achievement through the experience of a practicing class.

  • The paper proposes a pre-processing method for efficient processing of XML queries in information retrieval systems with a large amount of XML documents. For the pre-processing, we use a signature-based approach. In the conventional (flat document-based) information retrieval systems, user queries consist of keywords and boolean operators, and thus signatures are structured in a flat manner. However, in XML-based information retrieval systems, the user queries have the form of path query. Therefore, the flat signature cannot be effective for XML documents. In the paper, we propose a structured signature for XML documents. Through experiments, we evaluate the performance of the proposed method.

  • Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) often develops type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) related to severe obesity. The prevalence of T2DM in adults with PWS (7-20%) exceeds greatly the prevalence in the general population (5-7%). It is uncommon for pre-pubertal children with PWS to develop overt diabetes or glucose intolerance. GH therapy and genotype did not influence the development of altered glucose metabolism. It has been assumed that T2DM in PWS develops as a consequence of morbid obesity and concomitant insulin resistance. However recent studies suggest the relationship between morbid obesity and T2DM development is more complex and appears to differ in PWS subjects compared to non-PWS subjects. PWS patients had relatively lower fasting insulin levels and increased adiponectin levels compared with BMI-matched obese control despite of similar levels of leptin. So PWS children may be protected to some extent form of obesity-associated insulin resistance. Although there's no data, it seems logical to approach diabetes management including weight loss and increased exercise, using similar pharmacological agents as with non-PWS obesity-related diabetes such as metformin or thiazolidinedione, with the introduction of insulin as required. On the other hand, several recent T2DM in PWS case reports suggest favorable outcomes using Glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) analog with regard to ghrelin reduction, control of glucose and appetite, weight loss and pre-prandial insulin secretion. The role of GLP-1 agonist therapy is promising, but has not yet been fully elucidated.

  • Objective: This study was at investigated the effects of manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) on stress and pain in patients with postoperative breast cancer. Design: A randomized controlled trial. Methods: A total of twenty-two patients with postoperative breast cancer voluntarily participated in the study. Subjects were randomly assigned to the MLD groups (n=12) and rest groups (n=12). The intervention was conducted in each group for twenty minutes a day, five times a week, for four weeks. Before and after the intervention, the participants measured sympathetic nerve, parasympathetic nerve, and pain by using a sphygmograph and short-form McGill pain questionnaire. An independent t-test was used to analyze pretest and posttest changes between the groups, a paired t-test was used to analyze pre-posttests within each group. Results: After analyzing, the MLD group has been shown a significant decrease in the sympathetic nervous system (p<0.05), a significant increase in the parasympathetic nervous system (p<0.05), and a significant increase in pain (p<0.05). However, the rest group was no significant difference between pre and post. Conclusions: The results of this study confirmed that MLD techniques are an effective method in reducing stress and pain in patients with postoperativebreast cancer. And it is thought that can be used as basic data and to develop programs on stress and pain management reduction for patients with breast cancer.
