치과기공사 국가시험 제도의 문제점 및 해결방안에 관한 연구 (Study on Problem and Settlement of National Qualification Examination System for the Dental Technician)

  • This study was performed to identify the current problem of The National Qualification Examination for Dental Technician and to provide suggestion for improvement of The National Qualification Examination System. This study was based on the questionaries answered by the professors in the department of dental technology of college and the members of Korea dental technician's society. The result could be summarized in the following. 1. The examination should be held not only in Seoul but in other areas simultaneously. 2. Prepartation of The National Qualification Examination should be entrusted to a committee composed of selected members of The Korea Dental Technician Association and selected members of professors in the department of dental technology. 3. The carrving practical examination should be continued and the method of grading should be change to ensure fairness, objectivity and balance. Specially colored wax can be used to prevent cheating in test. 4. The examination on the subject of "The Introduction Dental Anatomy" should be different for dental technicians and dental hygienists. And the subjects need to be divided into "Dental Morphology" and "Oral Anatomy".

약사국가고시 실기시험 영역 선별을 위한 전문가 조사 (Selection of Tasks for Assessment of Pharmacy Clinical Performance in Korean Pharmacist Licensure Examination: Results of an Expert Survey)

  • Background: As the demands of pharmacist's role and quality performance have increased, the verification of pharmacist's ability has been required. In this study, we aimed to select appropriate items for assessment of pharmacist's knowledge, attitude and performance. Methods: Based on the pharmacist job analysis, we selected duties and tasks in consideration of applying pharmacy practical examination through brainstorming of internal researchers and group discussion with experts. Survey was conducted to evaluate the tasks according to the criteria detailed below: Realistic, Understandable, Measurable, Behavioral and Achievable (RUMBA). The subjects included professors at colleges of pharmacy and instructors of institutional or community pharmacy settings. Results: Nine duties including 41 tasks were drawn for the survey through primary internal researchers. Of the 90 respondents, 95.6% were professors or preceptors who was engaged in practical training, and 62.2% had more than five years of practical experience. As a result of survey and discussion with expert panel, selected seven duties were selected as followings: 'Patient (customer) reception', 'Drug preparation and distribution', 'Patient care', 'Administration', 'Patient counseling', 'Non-prescription medication counseling', and 'Provision of drug information'. The final 20 tasks from seven duties were chosen to assess skills that a pharmacist should be able to perform. Conclusion: This is the first study to select the items that can be included in pharmacist practical examination in the future, based on the RUMBA criteria. As a next step, it is necessary to study how to implement these items.

A Study on the Development and Operation of Integrated Assessment System for National Competency Standard Professional Basic

  • This paper develops and builds an Integrated Assessment System for National Competency Standard Professional Basic. The integrated evaluation system for basic job competency in the National Competency Standards is developed to conduct examination by means of computers, smartphones and tablet PCs. The system can be used for the basic job competency test, examination for online cyber universities, job competency examination for enterprises, and the listening, reading, and speaking test in the foreign language proficiency examination and is even better in terms of facility investment and saved operating costs as well as efficient use of spaces in comparison with conventional evaluation schemes. Even greater synergy effects can be achieved by providing support for the integrated evaluation system for basic job competency in connection with the NCS qualification system. The evaluation system has been tested and practiced at a specialized high school and can be applied to the NCS education evaluation of the college and four-year college and to the selection examination of new employees of the company.

우리나라 약사면허 국가시험제도 변천과정과 향후과제 (Historical Transition and Future Task of Pharmacist License Examination in Korea)

  • Objectives of this study are to investigate transition history of pharmacist license examination in Korea and to compare three suggestions for new examination system proposed by National Health Personnel Licensing Examination Board, Korean Association of Pharmacy Education, and Korean Pharmaceutical Association. Future task to help the examination system meet global standard is also discussed. Regulations on the examination system were retrieved from the sources posted in Ministry of Government Legislation homepage. Efforts devoted by the three organizations to make amendment on the regulations were collected from reports, official documents, minutes, and handout materials issued by the organizations. Ministry of Health and Welfare made amendment on the examination system in 2013 by rearranging the existing natural science-based eleven subjects to two subjects along with addition of a new subject named clinical-practical pharmacy. Unfortunately, however, the amendment stipulates that the new subject should include manufacturing and quality control of pharmaceuticals as part of contents in the examination. It is strongly urged that the contents of the examination should focus on professional competency as pharmacist in clinical situation. Future task to make revision on this issue is warranted to help new pharmacist enable to provide pharmaceutical care service to patients.

치과위생사의 국가 실기시험에 대한 인식 (The Dental Hygienists' Perception of the National Practical Examination)

  • 본 연구는 치과위생사가 임상에서 실질적인 업무 수행을 위한 역량을 강화하기 위하여 종합적이고 효율적인 국가 실기시험의 개선 방안을 마련하기 위하여 수행되었으며 연구대상은 치위생(학)과 교수 101명(50.8%)과 임상치과위생사 98명(49.2%)이 참여하였다. 연구의 결과로 현행 국가 실기시험의 공정성에 대한 의견은 치위생(학)과 교수 41.6%(42명), 임상치과위생사 56.1% (55명)가 '보통이다'라고 응답하였고, 현행 국가 실기시험이 직무중심의 종합적인 임상실기능력을 평가할 수 있는지를 조사한 결과, 치위생(학)과 교수 36.6% (37명)가 '보통이다'라고 응답하였고, 임상 치과위생사 56.1% (55명)는 '평가할 수 없다'라고 응답하였다(p<0.05). 또한 환자 중재의 상담기법을 평가할 수 있는지를 조사한 결과에서는 치위생(학)과 교수 72.3% (73명), 임상 치과위생사 72.4% (71명)가 '평가할 수 없다'는 응답이 매우 높게 나타났다(p<0.05). 국가 실기시험의 문항으로 반드시 필요한 업무인지를 조사한 결과, 치위생(학)과 교수는 '치면연마'와 '칫솔질 교육'이 99.0% (100명)로 각각 가장 높았고 인상채득, 치주기구조작, 치면열구전색 98.0%(99명) 순으로 나타났다. 임상치과위생사에서는 '초음파 치석제거'가 86.7% (85명)로 가장 높게 나타났고, 인상채득 및 칫솔질 교육이 78.6% (77명) 순이었다(p<0.05). 치위생(학)과 교수를 대상으로 조사한 실습교육 여부는 '치면연마' 및 '칫솔질 교육'이 '교육한다'라고 응답한 경우가 99.0%(100명)로 높게 나타났으며 이어 '인상채득'과 '치주기구조작', '치면열구전색'이 98.0% (99명) 순으로 나타났다, 임상치과위생사가 임상에서 실제 수행하는 다빈도 업무는 '인상채득', '모형제작', '초음파 치석제거', '진료 주의사항 설명'이 99.0% (97명)로 가장 많았고 '진료기록부 작성'과 '임시부착물 장착 및 제거', '기구세척'이 98.0% (96명) 순으로 나타났다(p<0.05). 이상의 결과로 현행 국가 실기시험에 대한 치위생(학)과 교수 및 임상 치과위생사들의 인식과 평가 그리고 국가시험 문항으로의 중요도, 다빈도 수행업무 등에 대하여 알 수 있었고, 이를 바탕으로 향후 종합적이고 포괄적인 치과위생사 국가시험 개선의 기초 자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.

한방부인과 임상실습교육에서 초음파 팬텀의 활용과 효과 (The Use and Educational Effect of Ultrasonic Phantom in Korean Medicine Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinical Practice Education)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to analyze educational effect of ultrasound examination training with ultrasonic phantom in the department of Korean Medicine Obstetrics and Gynecology. Methods: All 4th grade students in 2021 and 2022 of school of Korean Medicine, Dong-Shin University must be trained in the department of Korean Medicine Obstetrics and Gynecology according to ultrasound examination training guideline including Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE). After completing ultrasound examination training, we distributed questionnaires to them about a confidence before OSCE and after OSCE, difficulty in using ultrasound, ultrasound reading, difficulty with probe manipulation and computer operation, ultrasound understanding, clinical usefulness. And then, we analyzed the related factors including descriptive statistics, frequency analysis, student's t-test and paired t-test by SPSS 12.0. Results: Confidence in using ultrasound showed differences among students by gender and year, but it was not statistically significant. The difficulty of ultrasound use and ultrasound reading was at a moderate level, and the gender difference was not significant, and the difference between the practical students by year was statistically significant. The difficulty of the operation of the ultrasonic probe was at a normal level, and the difference between the students in practice by gender and year was not statistically significant. Although they answered that they had a very good understanding of the use of ultrasound, there was a gender difference and it was statistically significant, and practical students by year was not statistically significant. They answered that the effect on clinical use was very sufficient, but it was not statistically significant. The appropriateness of the practice time was evaluated at a moderate level. Conclusions: The use and educational effect of ultrasound examination using ultrasonic phantom in the department of Korean Medicine Obstetrics and Gynecology clinical practice education was very effective.

보험의학 실무 영역에서 근거중심의학적 접근 방법 (Using evidence-based medicine in terms of practical insurance medicine)

  • Evidence-based medicine(EBM) or evidence-based health care has been used in clinical medicine. Recently, it also has been applied to areas of social medicine such as independent medical examination. Insurance medicine is one of social medicine, as for it's role is maintenance of sound insurance system or for insured of life insurance. Practical application of EBM to the insurance medicine are; confirming question, finding evidence, and evaluation that selected evidence is best or not in terms of practical aspect.

체육지도자 자격제도에 대한 응시자들의 인식 연구: 실기·구술 자격검정을 중심으로 (A Study on Cognition of Applicants for the Sports Coaching Certificate System : Focusing on the Practical and Oral Certifying Test for the Sports Coaching Certificate)

  • 본 연구는 체육지도자 자격제도와 실기 및 구술 자격검정에 대한 응시자들의 인식을 분석하여 향후 체육지도자 자격제도의 발전적 방향을 제시하였다. 2015년 2급 생활, 유소년, 노인, 2급 장애인스포츠지도사의 실기 및 구술 자격검정에 참여한 응시자 18,908명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였으며 회신된 유효표본 2,895부를 대상으로 첫째, 조사응답자의 인구통계학적 특성 파악을 위한 빈도분석, 둘째, 측정도구의 신뢰도와 타당도 분석을 위한 요인분석, 셋째, 인구통계학적 특성에 따른 자격제도에 대한 인식의 차이분석을 위한 교차분석, 넷째, 실기 및 구술 자격검정에 대한 인식 분석을 위한 기술통계분석, 마지막으로 체육전공 여부에 따른 실기 및 구술 자격검정에 대한 인식의 차이를 알아보았다. 본 연구의 결과로는 첫째, 조사응답자의 연령, 학력, 체육전공여부에 따라 체육지도자 자격제도에 대한 인식에 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 조사응답자의 성별, 연령대, 학력, 체육전공여부에 따라 실기 및 구술 자격검정 인식에 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

동의수세보원(東醫壽世保元) 경험방에 근거한 사상체질별 복진의 문헌연구 (Overview on the Sasang Constitutional Abdominal Examination based on Experienced Prescriptions in the Donguisusebowon)

  • Researches of Sasang Consitutional Medicine(SCM) have been conducted in many ways, especially for objective diagnosis methods of SCM. Despite of these efforts, relationship between SCM and abdominal examination is rarely known. Therefore 7 books related to abdominal examination and arranged specific abdominal examination descriptions in each books based on Experienced prescriptions(經驗方) of Donguisusebowon(東醫壽世保元) or Longevity and Life Preservation in Eastern Medicine were collected. In result, So-eumin and So-yangin show opposite descriptions to each others in abdominal examination. So-eumin has stuffiness and rigidity below heart, lower abdominal fullness and cramp. In contrast, So-yangin has fullness in the chest and hypochondrium, chest bind, lower abdominal numbness and lower tension. Strong abdominal surface tension could be palpated in Taeum-in's abdominal examination. Advantages of Abdominal Examination are notified recently, thanks to easiness of performing, objectiveness and well-adaptation to Theory of Traditional Eastern Medicine. These advantages could contribute to researching diagnosis of SCM with theory consensus of SCM specialists and practical trials.

  • Each college of dentistry in Korea is examining and reorganizing its own curriculum to prepare students for the practical examination of the National Dental Licensing Examination. Conducting an assessment of students' competency of communication skills with standardized patients is the first attempt for the examination. Yonsei University College of Dentistry carried out the evaluation of communication attitude, communication written exam, and communication skills practice with standardized patients for Third year predoctoral students. The purpose of this study is a) to find out the relationship between the variables measured in communication skills education and b) to make a new basis for the application of communication education and evaluation in dentistry. Based on the results of the study, the following suggestions for the operation of a dental communication curriculum can be drawn: First, the communication classes and the practice with standardized patients should be based on the wide support of the school. In addition, the patient-dentist interaction (PDI) should be practiced in the same way as practically possible by predoctoral students. Moreover, a space is required to allow predoctoral students to practice PDI. Second, the communication score given by the standardized patients was the most influential on the total score of PDI. This indicates that the communication practice with the standardized patients for the practical examination of the National Dental Licensing Examination is a meaningful process in the course of its communication education.
