  • Currently the mose used software to make presentation is Powerpoint. But a few learners only can use that program to present. Lately free software called Prezi is available to many users. Prezi is free to general users. To evaluate the experiences of making presentaion by Powerpoint and Prezi effects on the learning motive is the purpose of study. In conclusion, my goal of this study is that by using convenient Prezi, I would like to prove that it will really analyze the learning motives(attention, relevance, confidence, satisfaction) when learners is being thaught through Prezi not unuseful Powerpoint.

  • 현재 Powerpoint는 팀 프로젝트에도 불구하고 PPT파일을 혼자서 만들고 수정해야 하면서 한 사람이 많은 시간을 소비해야한다. 또는 여러 명이서 각각의 페이지를 따로 만들고 한 사람이 각자가 만든 페이지를 받아 하나의 파일로 합쳐야하는데 이 방법은 비효율성과 불편함이 존재한다. 따라서 하나의 PPT파일을 여러 명이서 동시에 접속하여 각자의 페이지를 만들면서 시간도 절약하고 불편함과 비효율성을 제거하기 위하여 이 프로그램을 제안하였다.

  • In the comprehension of English texts, Korean students generally try to translate English into Korean in accordance with the word order of Korean language. As a result, the comprehension of English texts is made in a regressive way, which results in slower reading. In order to enhance the reading speed, it is necessary for students to practice progressive reading. Also, while reading English texts, most readers' eyes tend to look at one word at a time, which actually cuts down on the reading speed. Reading by the sense group of as many words as possible at a glance, however, can help a reader more efficiently in less time. This research aims at developing the Powerpoint program for progressive reading by the sense group according to the student's level. In this program, as for methodology, the technique of rooking it fade-away is introduced to force a reader's eyes to move fast. Through this technique, it is possible to make a line of the texts disappear on the screen and make another line appear, which enables a reader to sweep the words across each and every line of the reading material smoothly without regression.

  • This paper presents a study regarding a construction of the slide cases through the useful and practical design using presentation tool-Microsoft Powerpoint, which can offer to the person in charge with more useful and practical information for the construction of the slide cases. In this study, Presentation program is used to construct case in the slides. The results of this study may be summarized as follows : First, it is possible to construct useful and practical case in the slides with presentation program. Second, this study proposes directions for the construction of slides with presentation program.

Implementation and Evaluation of Integrated Viewier for Displanning Text and TIFF Image Materials on the Internet Environments (인터넷상에서 텍스트와 TIFF 이미지 자료 디스플레이를 위한 뷰어 구현 및 평가)

  • The purpose of the study is to develop an integrated viewer which can display both text and image files on the Internet environment. Up to now, most viewers for full-text databases can be displayed documents only by image or graphic viewers. The newly developed system can compress document files in commercial word processors (e.g, 한글TM, WordTM, ExceITM, PowerpointTM, HunminJungumTM, ArirangTM, CADTM), as well as conventional TIFF image file in smaller size, which were converted into DVI(DeVice Independent) file format, and display them on computer screen. IDoc Viewer was evaluated to test its performance by user group, consisting of 5 system developers, 5 librarians, and 10 end-users. IDoc Viewer has been proved to be good or excellent at 20 out of 26 check lists.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect on the achievement of knowledge by animation-based learning program(ALP) in environmental education. The topic covered by ALP was "meaning and kinds of alien animals and plants". Four classes were selected and divided into two groups. The one was control group, and the other was treatment. 121 female the eighth graders(60 control and 61 ALP students) were piloted. Whereas control students learned using Powerpoint presentation-based materials, ALP students learned using web-based flash animations and animated database with images and movie clips. The score of knowledge achievement of ALP students was compared to control group students using ANCOVA, and then the score of ALP students was significantly higher than that of control group students(p<0.05). The ALP using animations and animated database was effective on the understanding of the alien animals and plants.

  • Purpose - This study focused on the development of a Korean language curriculum to solve the problem of Korean literacy among students from multicultural families. Research design, data, and methodology - A case study was conducted on Sim(2018)'s learner-centered learning model to develop an educational plan including AI technology, which will help students from multicultural families to effectively improve their communication and learning skills by improving their reading, writing, and speaking of Korean. Result - Total of six educational plans using AI technology (Microsoft PowerPoint's drawing function, AutoDraw, and Google's Four-cut cartoons) were developed. Conclusion - The curriculum using AI is expected to greatly contribute to the recovery of language learning ability and confidence in studies necessary to improve learners' language education.

  • The goals of this research are for producing and optimizing the CD-ROM, effective and practical Teaching-Learning method. It consists of Wearing Korean Traditional Costume for the First Grade of Middle School Students in Home Economics Teaching. This research’s summarization is following. First, the multi-media material. CD-ROM making use of Powerpoint. Wearing Korean Traditional Costume, is produced to help the students learn the difficult contents in terms of video and audio. Second, it is introduced the model of Open Education for increasing the efficiency of class. Third, it is developed to proceed the class with the CD-ROM and small group study of place activity. Fourth, it helps students concentrate on the class with proper sound effect whenever the slide films are changed. And it helps to link the web sites related to Korean Traditional Costume. Finally, another kinds of suggestions are following. The effective verification of this software that is tested and applied at the field for a given period will be necessary. And, it is necessary to upgrade for the CD-ROM and the supplementary teaching materials in Korean Traditional Costume education.

  • The major role of school librarians in Korea has been providing reading guidance and library user education with paper resources. However, digital users have become more ubiquitous and demand more information with the images and digital materials. Therefore, school libraries need to collect more images and digital materials. At the same time, school librarians have to equip themselves with the ability to cope with this transformation. The qualified school librarians not only should have a teaching certificate but also know about techniques to transform various library materials into digital formats. Teachers and students could use these materials for their Web site homepages and Powerpoint presentations.
