  • This paper discusses power balance control of photovoltaic/wind/diesel hybrid generation system for remote area power supplies. There are many control methods for hybrid power system. Among others, it must be adopted that the control method to guarantee a stable balance between supply and demand, regardless of the fluctuation of generator power by atmospheric changes. In this paper, it Is proposed that a hybrid generation system has a power-balanced controller to equilibrate generation power with a load demand, which is composed of DC bus-type power systems. To execute power balance control, it is assumed that all of power generators have a equivalent current-source characteristics. Through the results of simulation, the proposed scheme was verified.

  • Motivated by a recent work, a fuzzy-power-controller(FPC) is designed for the relieving-horsepower control of output variable pump with electrical proportional valve and actually implemented on the industrial excavator. In order to calculate the output power of pump with input of FPC, a linear discrete time model of load system to pump is obtained and the result is applied to control the engine-pump coupled system by software without pressure and flow sensor. The FPC controls the engine and pump coupled system by relieving horsepower control according to the change of load and the running conditions in relieving horsepower control are selected by fuzzy inference engine. A case study is peformed through the construction of the control device and installation on the excavator. It shows that the relieving-horsepower control system with the FPC, as suggested in this paper, is superior to the conventional PID controllers. And also, the excavator, with the FPC, shows that the power-loss of the coupled system is reduced and the running speed of the hydraulic actuator is enhanced.

  • This paper proposes the parallel operation control algorithm of a power conditioning system (PCS) for a distributed Fuel Cell power generation system. A proposed control algorithm is made good a drawback of the conventional control algorithm. The controller must also supervise the total PCS operation while communicating with the fuel cell system controller. Simulation results are presented to performance of a proposed control algorithm for the PCS.

  • In this paper, a DC converter to improve the performance of Power LED system is discussed. The mathematical model of PWM converter power stage using 3-Terminal PWM cell is introduced for power LED system. A controller for DC converter system is used as a self-tunning regulator with a recursive least-squares algorithm. Minimum variance control method is used as a control law. Experiment results verified that proposed control system could improve the performance of Power LED system.

  • These days, most of electric power facilities need high stability. Therefore integrated system has been required to monitor and control electronic power distribution system in fields at all times when the interruption of electric power has occurred. To construct this system, unit that convert and process the input signal from fields needed. And for control and monitoring from remote place MMI software is required. Lastly network equipments are required for real-time communications. So, in this paper, units for control and monitoring of emergency power generator and for electric power monitoring in normal electric power and interruption of electric power are developed. Also integrated remote system for monitoring in remote is developed.

  • In this paper, adaptive home power peak-cut control system is developed using PLC. The developed scheme provides monitoring of power usage, power peak-cut control and additional function. In test bed, zone is presented by bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom. And individual load is presented by lighting, heater and fan in zone. In developed scheme, zone control is implemented by single PLC modem. And individual load control is implemented by key-map table. In addition, power peak-cut control system S/W, which can perform setting of power peak, power peak-cut control and monitoring of power usage.

  • This paper presents the application of a FARMA controller to stabilization of nonlinear Two-Generator Five-Bus power Systems. The control rules and the membership functions of the FARMA controller are generated automatically without using any plant model high complexity and severe nonlinearity of power systems are introduced and two-Machine Five -Bus Power system stabilization problem is formulated. The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness and application possibility of the FARMA controller to the control problem of high order and nonlinear plants.

  • In this paper, as a part of the method improving stability, the load-flow calculation in D.C. power system and the models for stability analysis are studied with A.C-D.C. interconnected power systems transmission performed. Moreover, the theory is established in relation to each control method of D.C. power systems. Then the stability of A.C-D.C.interconnected power systems is compared and considered by the way of dividing the operating control method of the rectifier inverter converter into ACR-AVR, APR-A.gamma.R, A.alpha.R-ACR. The dynamics characteristic of terminal voltage, frequency, active-reactive power and rotor angle of the generator with disturbances and load fluctuations is considered. In addition, the characteristic of direct voltage, direct current, power and control systems. From this the comparative analysis of the direct current control method, the possibility of the stability analysis of A.C.-D.C. interconnected power system is considered. 태양광 발전과 에너지저장시스템을 활용한 모빌리티 충전 시스템의 제어 방법 (Control Strategies of Mobility Charging Systems Using PV-ESS Systems)

  • Operation modes and control strategies for single-phase mobility charging station utilizing photovoltaic (PV) generation and energy storage systems (ESS) are proposed. This approach generates electric power from PV to transmit the mobility, ESS, and then transfer it to the grid when surplus electric power is generated during daytime. However, the PV power cannot be generated during night-time, and ESS and the mobility system can be charged using grid power. The power balance control based on power fluctuations and the resonant current control that can compensate harmonic components have been added to increase the stability of the system. The MATLAB/Simulink simulation was carried out to verify the proposed control method, and the 2-kW single-phase grid-tied PV-ESS smart mobility charger was built and tested.
