Development and Application of Integrated Management System in Nuclear Power Plant Construction Project

  • Nuclear power plant construction project can be called essential to establish a systematic project management system compared to other construction projects, taking into account the size and complexity and safety. To develop into a project management system for the Korea situation with the ongoing construction of the nuclear power plant was directed to promote nuclear power project management. In this paper, we introduce a comprehensive project management system for nuclear power projects. Currently considering the nuclear life cycle design, construction, and was developed by considering the flow of information to operate, and test each step linkage. The systems in English were developed to meet owner's requirements for advancing into overseas projects. Another point is that the systems were developed by management module, so that functions of each area can be selectively applied. It is expected that the system will establish itself as one that can be used for the entire lifecycle of nuclear power plants through gradual and systematic establishment of necessary data.

  • This paper discusses the surveying of a power transmission line using Real Time Kinematic(RTK) GPS technology. The use of RTK provides users with an accurate position at the moment in time. Application result of a 765kV transmission line surveying proved to be more accurate and efficient than using a traditional EDM (Electro-magnetic distance measurement) method. More, decrease in numbers of trees cut down which is a major cause of public discontents was achieved. Improvements in doing a surveying of a power transmission line using GPS is expected in the future.

  • Purpose of the 765kV trial operation conducted for the first time in our country are performance verification of domestic developed equipment(765kV M.Tr, GIS,etc) and extraction of problem in advance to commercial operation and cultivation of operation ability. The trial operation of 765kV substation was finished successfully under the positive supports of institutes. manufactures. and constructers. It is expected that extraction of problems in advance and accumulation of operation techniques through the trial operation of 765kV substation will be contributed largly to the realization of the without a hitch operation of 765kV system.

  • In the past, dramatic economical development of Korea could be achieved by well-organized 154kV power system network. Electric power Is a key Industry for the nation and industrial development. Nowadays we operates 345kV Power system with based transmission network and also we are operating 765kV power system to supply to the capital region. Currently developing countries in Southeast Asia are requiring the electric power technology to Korea so that they can acquire the source of the development-power system network. Therefore, it Is important to design transmission line and substation with appropriate methods. In this paper, a calculation and calculating process of shielding range using shield wires in Myanmar 500kV substation are reviewed according to the Myanmar 500kV power system project performed by the overseas projects section of the Korea Electric Power Corporation.

  • The nuclear power plant construction project is large-scale, has various stakeholders and computer system, and is produced and managed a large amount of information. The domestic nuclear power plant construction project has accumulated data based on many years of experience in the system. It has the competitiveness to suggeest alternatives that meet the requirement of the client in the overseas nuclear power plant project. Earned value management, which integrates schedule and cost, is possible to risk management. It was developed the earned value management system considering the the actual data properties and types of the preceding nuclear power plant construction projects. It will be able to increase the nuclaer power plant export competieiveness. Therefore, it was palned to carry out future stuies so that it be able to complement the measure to integrate cost and schedule in consideration of actual data(quantity of activity, etc.).

Power System is designed through investigation of advanced domestic and international example. In addition to power facility operation it is designed for using an information infrastructure of whole airport. IIA Power System Design make instantaneously the Power Distribution Facilities and the SCADA System to construct the airport. and the Airport Power Information System to operate the Power System. It is designed to take efficient and safe Power System including the advanced technology. Power System make the integrated Power Information Database to operate the Main Control Center, analyze the data about the relation of the Power System and Airport operation, and will support the important files in the future.

But current nuclear power plant construction site is only managed to access of workers and equipments. 제주지역 계통특성을 고려한 다기(Multi-Infeed) HVDC 시스템 운전 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Operation Strategies of Multi-Infeed HVDC System in Jeju Island Power System)

  • As recently the demand on electric power has been increasing, the requirement of power supply reliability has been increased. Accordingly, the number of HVDC transmission systems in the world has been steadily increased, which have been installed in the power system to transmit a large capacity power to the long distant and interconnect the power grid between different countries. etc. #1 HVDC Transmission System was installed between Haenam and Jeju island in 1998, which is the first HVDC system furnished in korea. and has been operated until now. Before #1 HVDC Transmission System being installed, the power system of the Jeju Island is a isolated power system from that of Korea mainland. After the construction of #1 HVDC the system has made the Jeju power system more reliable and also been able to supply the mainland power, which was cheaper than that of Jeju island, to Jeju island. The construction of additional HVDC transmission system between mainland and the Jeju Island has been currently underway to cope with recent changes of the power market of the Jeju island, for examples the increase of power demand and the capacity of wind power generation. etc. #2 HVDC Transmission System construction was completed in 2012. #3 HVDC Transmission System will be also installed according to the plan. If all goes as planned, the Jeju power system will be operated with Multi-Infeed HVDC system connected to mainland power system. So the additional studies are needed in order to maintain the stability of the Jeju power system and get the efficiency of the Multi-Infeed HVDC system. Therefore, in this paper, the optimal operation strategies of the Multi-Infeed HVDC system between the mainland of Korea and the Jeju are suggested to ensure the stability of the power system in Jeju Island when the Multi-Infeed HVDC system is operated between two power system.

  • The construction project can be defined as a network combined between elements which are engineering, procurement, construction, start-up, and has a plenty of subjects and partners. For the successful project management in construction industry, it is necessary to adopt various management methods, such as lean production, information network system, SCM(Supply Chain Management), which can increase the efficiency of project management. During recent years, even though various management techniques have been applied, the SCM system has not formulated in construction industry. Especially, the Nuclear Power Plant Construction which requires high regulations of the safety and security has not applied SCM. Therefore, this study aimed to propose technology area of SCM in Korean Nuclear Power Plant Construction.

  • 본 논문에서는 최근 건설기계용으로 연구되고 있는 E-TCS의 Power Electronics System에 대한 Topology와 제어방법을 제안한다. 디젤엔진과 같이 사용되는 E-TCS는 압축기와 터빈 그리고 요구되는 회전속도로 고속회전 및 발전이 가능한 모터와 이를 제어하는 인버터로 구성된다. 기존의 E-TCS를 위한 Power Electronics System의 경우 배터리의 전압강압으로 인버터의 전류량이 증가하여 Power Electronics System 및 모터의 Volume이 커지는 단점이 있으며, 특허가 존재하여 사용이 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 단점을 개선한 E-TCS를 위한 새로운 Topology 구성 및 제어방식을 제안한다.
