The program of performing a fast and automatic analysis of gamma ray spectra obtained by a Multi-Channel Analyzer (MCA) is developed for the surveillance of the nuclear fuel integrity. The integrity of the nuclear fuel is confirmed by the measurement of the radiation level of the reactor coolant through the real time monitoring and the periodic sampling analysis. In Yonggwang nuclear power plane 3 and 4, the Process Radiation Monitoring System (PRMS), which is a real time monitoring system, provides a measure of the fuel integrity. Currently, its spectrometer channel can identify only one radionuclide at a time since the signal processing unit of the spectrometer channel is a Single Channel Analyzer (SCA). To improve the PRMS, it is necessary to substitute the MCA for the SCA The program is operated in a real time mode and an on-demand mode, and automatically performed for all procedures. The test results by using the National Bureau of Standards (NBS) mixed standard source are in good agreement with those from Canberra System 100 which is a commercial MCA Consequently, the developed program seems to be employed for automatic monitoring of gamma rays in nuclear power plants.

The layout of electrical power distribution networks never involved communications aspects. As a result their transmission properties severly complicate the use as data links. Futhermore bandwidth as well as transmission power is restricted. Nevertheless, power distribution net works represent a most attractive medium for digital communication purposes due to an ever increasing demand, e.g., for environment management of buildings, office automation, and remote meter reading or security monitoring. In this paper, a power line modem which is capable of transmitting and receiving data at 1200 bps using OOK-BASK through 220V AC power lines is implemented. The receiver includes noncoherent detector and performs soft decision. The OLM circuits can be simplified by use of microprocessor. The PLM also satisfies CENELEC, European standards, and can be applied to home automation system.

The purpose of this study is to examine an immoral effectiveness decrease by information access monitoring between ethical dilemma and unethical information-sharing behavior. Firms are raising the demand of confidential information management and are highlighting the ethical awareness of organizational members. The individuals in organization are concerned information sharing for future-oriented social networking. To prevent their immoral behavior, Firms should consider investing the information access monitoring. This system is aiming at log verification of movement, storage and deletion on information and will reduce an ethical conflict and unethical behavior on employees. I used the structural equation methodology for this empirical study. The research model constructs the voluntary and involuntary dilemma of information sharing on the two independent-variables, the unethical information behavior and the improper networking reinforcement on the two dependent-variables and the information access monitoring the one mediating-variables. This model tests the power effect of direct path, indirect path and total path. According to the study, the two ethical dilemma of information sharing provided a high influence to the unethical sharing action and to the inappropriate social networking strengthens. However, the mediating role of information access monitoring shows the effect weakens of independent and dependent variables. Thus, the mediating variables appeared to be important for the controlling role of an unethical behavior and improper social networking. Ultimately, The firms will need to invest the information access monitoring for a compulsory ethics behavior of organizational members. In addition, this can hinder networking enhancements for future opportunistic behaviors.

Recently one level higher intelligent switching board than established one by the application of intelligent building and digital system are being constructed. Therefore facility's high efficiency, high degree satisfaction, miniaturaization, standardization through application of communication technology and monitoring and controlling by computer system utilized by web-basis power control system and electric IT are practiced. Especially network must be constructed through unified IBS server that monitors every educational institute's switching boards in real time control system. And I intend to create methods to save energy and raise electricity quality by power demand prediction and remote-controled management and operation. In this thesis I intend to suggest measures of forming unified system through researching educational institute's ways of constructing switching board and status analysis and overcoming technical difficulties in user's side and saving and maintenance expense.
Since Korea was initiated a industrialization, many transmission lines have been installed to meet the increasing demand for the electric power. In large city, underground transmission lines were widely installed because of the environmental issue. But there have been appeared many failures on the lines, such as the external scar of cable, a fire in the culvert, overheating of cable, and so on. There have been many studies to monitor them and improve the reliability of the power supply. As a method monitoring the lines, a DTS(Distributed Temperature Sensor) system is developed and applied. This system monitors the lines and predicts the failures, using a optical fiber sensor. This paper describes this DTS system and its application for the underground transmission lines.

Partial discharges (PD) have long been recognized as a major contributing factor to catastrophic failures in high-power equipment. As the demand for high voltage direct current (HVDC) facilities continues to rise, the significance of on-line and real-time monitoring of PD becomes increasingly prominent. In this study, we have designed, fabricated, and characterized a highly sensitive and cost-effective PD sensor comprising a pair of copper electrodes with different arc lengths. The key advantage of our sensor is its non-invasive nature, as it can be installed at any location along the entire power cable without requiring structural modifications. In contrast, conventional PD sensors are typically limited to installation at cable terminals or insulation joint boxes, often necessitating invasive alterations. Our PD sensor demonstrates exceptional accuracy in estimating PD location, with a success rate exceeding 95% in the straight sections of the power cable and surpassing 89% in curved sections. These remarkable characteristics indicate its high potential for realtime and on-line detection of PD.
As the usages of artificial intelligence is increased, the demand to algorithms for small portable devices increases. Also as the embedded system becomes high-performance, it is possible to implement algorithms for high-speed computation and machine learning as well as operating systems. As the machine learning algorithms process repetitive calculations, it depend on the cloud environment by network connection. For an stand alone system, low power consumption and fast execution by optimized algorithm are required. In this study, for the purpose of smart control, an energy measurement sensor is connected to an embedded system, and a real-time monitoring system is implemented to store measurement information as a database. Continuously measured and stored data is applied to a learning algorithm, which can be utilized for optimal power control, and a system interfacing various sensors required for energy measurement was constructed.

The interest of New Renewable Energy is increasing globally because of the increment of the uncertainty for the energy's supply and demand, and the increment of the frequency in weather anomaly and its damages. One of the New Renewable Energies, Hydrogen receives attention as the future energy that can deal with global environment regulation. Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) is an environment-friendly vehicle that uses Hydrogen as fuel. The electric power for FCEV is generated by chemical reaction with Oxygen from the air and Hydrogen. Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) has developed a proprietary fuel cell system since 2005. In 2012, HMC is the first car maker that mass-produces the ix35 FCEV to the worldwide such as North America, Europe, etc. In order to develop and improve the FCEV technology, data acquisition and analysis of the driving vehicle information is essential. Therefore, the monitoring system is developed, which is consist of datalogger, Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) server and main server. Especially, WCDMA technology is integrated into the system which enables the data analysis without any restriction of time and region. The main function of the system is the analysis of the driving pattern and the component durability, and the safety monitoring. As a result, ix35 FCEV has successfully developed by using the developed monitoring system. The system is going to take an advantage of development in the future FCEV technology.

Nowadays, great energy consumption in advanced electrical industry has called up the great y efficiency. Electric power IT industry such as intelligent electric power system is receiving great attention and being marked up as a new growth engine. Through Intelligent electric power system, the electric power supply can be balance optimized according to demand, giving huge cost savings advantage for energy imports, infrastructure construction and operation. Nevertheless, the intelligent system promotes better reliability in power supply. Manual electric power management using man power appears to be non-practical. Real time electric power management on all facilities and equipment can be done through an intelligent electric power system, any accident break out issue can be easily recorded and recognized. In this paper, a fully integrated intelligent switchgear electric management system is developed to monitor and remote control the electrical switch based on smart phone. The proposed system is superior than the existing switchgear management system's weakness and can sharply improve effectiveness and stability with low cost. In future, the proposed system is expected to be greatly contributed to the advancement of the IT industry in electric power management.

With progress in industrialization, facilities for generating, delivering, and receiving high levels of electric power are in great demand. The scale of electric power equipment is increasing in both size and complexity. This has contributed to the development of our modern, high-tech and information-based society. However, if the generation of electric power is suspended due to unexpected accidents at power facilities or power stations, a range of equipment the operations of which are dependent on electric power can be damaged, causing substantial socioeconomic losses in an industrial society. A great deal of time and money would be expended to repair damaged facilities at a power station, causing enormous economic loss. In order to detect the deterioration processes of power cables, and to prevent the destruction of power cables, the operation status of power cables should be monitored on a regular basis. We studied the method in order to improve accuracy and reliability for diagnosising the junction where accident occurs frequently. We present the method of data acquisition and statistical processing.
