적응 뉴로 퍼지 전력계통 안정화 장치의 설계 (Design of an Adaptive Neurofuzzy-Based Power System Stabilizer)

  • The power system stabilizer(PSS) is important for the suppression of low-frequency oscillation and the improvement of system stability. In this paper, An Adaptive Neurofuzzy-based Power System Stabilizer(ANF PSS) is proposed as the new PSS type. The proposed PSS employs a multi-layer adaptive network. The network is trained directly from the input and the output of the generating unit. The algorithm combines the advantages of the Artificial Neural Network(ANN) and Fuzzy Logic Control(FLC) schemes. Studies show that the proposed ANF PSS can provide good damping of the power system over the wide range of operating conditions and improve the dynamic performance of the system.

초전도에너지 저장장치를 이용한 전력계통 안정도 향상 (Power System Stabilization Using SMES)

  • Superconducting Magnetic Energy Storage (SMES) system can be used for power system stabilization by absorbing or discharging active and reactive power through thyristor-comtrolled converters. In this paper, we have proposed a control algorithm that the active and reactive powers of SMES are simultaneously controlled to increase power system dynamic stability. The proposed method was applied to one machine-infinite and three machines and three load model systems. And it has been shown that the proposed algorithm is more effective in power system stabilization than the conventional one that only the active power of SMES is controlled. Eigenvalue sensitivity analysis method is introduced to estimate the optimal location of SMES in the sense of the power system oscillation mode.

Damping of Inter-Area Low Frequency Oscillation Using an Adaptive Wide-Area Damping Controller

  • This paper presents an adaptive wide-area damping controller (WADC) based on generalized predictive control (GPC) and model identification for damping the inter-area low frequency oscillations in large-scale inter-connected power system. A recursive least-squares algorithm (RLSA) with a varying forgetting factor is applied to identify online the reduced-order linearlized model which contains dominant inter-area low frequency oscillations. Based on this linearlized model, the generalized predictive control scheme considering control output constraints is employed to obtain the optimal control signal in each sampling interval. Case studies are undertaken on a two-area four-machine power system and the New England 10-machine 39-bus power system, respectively. Simulation results show that the proposed adaptive WADC not only can damp the inter-area oscillations effectively under a wide range of operation conditions and different disturbances, but also has better robustness against to the time delay existing in the remote signals. The comparison studies with the conventional lead-lag WADC are also provided.

  • 본 논문에서는 FACTS 기기의 일종인 전력조류 극대화 및 제어 기능과 함께 외란에 의한 과도시의 전력계통 안정화 기능을 수행할 수 있는 TCSC용 전력시스템 안정화 장치 설계에 대하여 연구하였다. TCSC용 전력시스템 안정화 장치 설계시 파라미터 선정은 복잡한 수식이 필요 없고 계산시간을 감소시키며 적은 반복횟수로도 최적해를 찾을 수 있는 자연 생태계의 진화를 모의한 유전 알고리즘을 이용하였다. 전력 시스템의 저주파 진동에 강인성을 갖는 TCSC는 TCR(Thyristor Controlled Reactor)과 커패시터의 병렬구조에 의해 용량성과 유도성에 걸친 범위가지 연속적으로 제어할 수 있는 구조로 이루어져 있다. 이러한 제안된 방법의 강인성을 검증하기 위해 여러 가지 운전조건에 대해 전력계통 안정도 및 고유치를 해석하여 기존의 안정화 장치를 적용한 경우와 비교함 으로써 유용성을 입증하였다.

Anti-sway용 암을 가진 겐트리 크레인의 흔들림저감 제어 (Oscillation Motion Control of Gantry Crane System with Arm for Anti-Sway)

  • In practical fields, the sway of crane systems leads to extra stress to the crane structure during the transporting operation and it is in close connection with its life. Usually, when we operate the cranes with high speed and manual control, the sway motion is irreducible. In this paper, a new type of crane system is proposed to avoid the irreducible sway of the crane systems. The proposed system is composed of mechanical arm with function of anti-sway based on conventional line system. By the anti-sway arm, we can realize to prevent the sway of the container box but cannot avoid the oscillation for the overall body of the crane. So, a controller design method to solve the above stated problem must be considered. The problem is solved by adopting the velocity pattern control methods of trapezoidal and curve types and its effectiveness is proved through experimental results.

컨버터와 DC 마이크로그리드 사고 상황의 상호작용을 검증하기 위한 실시간 전력 시뮬레이션 테스트 베드 (Power Hardware-in-the-Loop (PHIL) Simulation Testbed for Testing Electrical Interactions Between Power Converter and Fault Conditions of DC Microgrid)

  • Nowadays, a DC microgrid that can link various distributed power sources is gaining much attention. Accordingly, research on fault situations, such as line-to-line and line-to-ground faults of the DC microgrid, has been conducted to improve grid reliability. However, the blackout of an AC system and the oscillation of a DC bus voltage have not been reported or have not been sufficiently verified by previous research. In this study, a 20 kW DC microgrid testbed using a power HIL simulation technique is proposed. This testbed can simulate various fault conditions without any additional grid facilities and dangerous experiments. It includes the blackout of the DC microgrid caused by the AC utility grid's blackout, a drastic load increment, and the DC bus voltage oscillation caused by the LCL filter of the voltage source converter. The effectiveness of the proposed testbed is verified by using Opal-RT's OP5707 real-time simulator with a 3 kW prototype three-port dual-active-bridge converter.

  • This paper proposes new series and parallel Sin+Cos PSS(power system stabilizer) for the purpose to improve the existing PSS1A's performance. The purpose of PSS is used to enhance damping of power system oscillations through injection of auxiliary signal for an excitation control terminal. The Proposed series and Parallel Sin+Cos PSS is connected adding the Sin+Cos terms additionally with serial and with parallel connection in a conventional PSS1A. The proposed controller is aim to considering of a damping of oscillation when it changes parameter fluctuations or operational load variations in a power system. The object of electric power system is KEPCO system and the voltage of power transmission line is a 154kV and a 345kV. The PSCAD/EMTDC package is used to authorize the effect of the proposed controller. Simulations were shown by and compared with the waveforms for frequency, voltage and electric power.

  • 질소 희석된 프로판 층류 부상 화염에서 화염진동 불안정성과 화염 곡률 효과를 살펴보기 위하여 실험적 연구를 수행하였다. 화염 진동은 총 3가지 영역으로 열손실에 의한 진동, 열손실 및 부력이 혼재된 진동, 그리고 열손실 및 루이스 수에 의한 영향이 혼재된 진동으로 구분되었다. 순수 열손실에 의한 진동은 루이스 수에 의한 진동과 부력에 의한 수력학적 불안정성과 관련이 없으며 연료 루이스 수에 관계없이 모든 부상화염 조건에서 관찰되었다. 화염의 시간에 따른 부상높이 변화에 대한 FFT분석을 통해 화염진동 불안정성의 실험적 증거와 특성을 명확히 제시하였고, 부상 화염의 열손실에 의한 자기진동의 메커니즘에 대한 시나리오를 논의한다.

  • The problem of small-signal stability is usually one of insufficient damping of system oscillations. The use of power system stabilizers to control generator excitation system os the most cost effective method of enhancing the small-signal stability of power system. This paper presents the fuzzy type stabilizing controller to damp out the sustained oscillation, which is observed in normal operation. through the comparative simulation with PI type power stabilizer under various system operating condition, the efficiency of fuzzy stabilizing controller with respect to nonlinear power system is verified.

TV 전원장치에서 새로운 구동 회로에 의한 buck converter (Buck converter with new driving circuit in TV poer system)

  • In this paper, new buck converter of a TV power system is presented. First, we devised a revised driving circuit for an emitter-coupled type buck converter, by which it is possible to reduce the material cost of transformers and voltage stress of power device. Secondly, we adopted a hybrid oscillation technique. When TV system is in off-stage, initial standby power which is necessary for remote controllable TV system is supplied by self-oscillating mode. Main power which is necessry in TV system bing on state is provided by an externally triggered oscillating mode. The switching frequency is synchronized to the oscillating frequency of horizontal deflection in TV, by which we can reduce picture noises and the size of power transformer. Thirdly, a simple error amplifier is inserted to the feed-back loop to keep the output voltage constant which means pulse width modulatio mode is added in driving part of power device. Finally, we showed by experiments that our proposed converter performs well enough to be close to the theoretically predicted values.
