A New Cell Selection Scheme with Adaptive Bias for Ultra Dense Heterogeneous Mobile Communication Networks (초밀집 이종 이동 통신망을 위한 적응형 편향치를 활용한 새로운 셀 선택 기법)

  • As smart-phones become popular, mobile data traffic has been dramatically increasing and intensive researches on the next-generation mobile communication network is in progress to meet the increasing demand for mobile data traffic. In particular, heterogeneous network (HetNet) is attracting much interest because it can significantly enhance the network capacity by increasing the spatial resue with macro and small cells. In the HetNet, we have several problems such as load imbalance and interference because of the difference in transmit power between macro and small cells and cell range expansion (CRE) can mitigate the problems. In this paper, we propose a new cell selection scheme with adaptive cell range expansion bias (CREB) for ultra dense HetNet and we analyze the performance of the proposed scheme in terms of average cell transmission rate through system-level simulations and compare it with those of other schemes.

  • MANET constructs a network that is free and independent between sensor nodes without infrastructure. Also, there are a lot of difficulties to manage data process, control etc.. back efficiently from change of topology by transfer of sensor node that compose network. Especially, because each sensor node must consider mobility certainly, problem about energy use happens. To solve these problem, mechanisms that compose cluster of cluster header and hierarchic structure between member were suggested. However, accompanies inefficient energy consumption because sensing power level of sensor node is fixed and brings energy imbalance of sensor network and shortening of survival time. In this paper, I suggested intelligent clustering mechanism for efficient energy management to solve these problem of existent Clustering mechanism. Proposed mechanism corresponds fast in network topology change by transfer of sensor node, and compares in existent mechanism in circumstance that require serial sensing and brings elevation survival time of sensor node.Please put the abstract of paper here.

A Study on the development of the road to local economy (도로성장과 지역경제에 관한 고찰)

  • A road is an infrastructure that helps boost up growth of local economy, connections among local communities and living conditions. For South Korea the increase in infrastructures like roads now concentrates on specific regions, which causes regional imbalance. also, some areas are faced with the overall weakness of local economy such as decrease in local tax revenues, slowdown in industrial and economic growth of regions, and the low independence of local finances because lack of roads, a basis of local economic growth, make big and smaller business reluctant to invest in localities. In addition, even though the power-centralized age turns to a decentralized age, the preference of development policies by the existing economic size rather than those of nationwide balanced development gets the economic gap of localities deeply-rooted; moreover, disparity of local wealth has a tendency to even differentiate the overall quality of living. The paper intends to analyze relations between road development and local economy focused on road construction, one of requisites to balance national development and accelerate local economy.

An Efficient Task Assignment Algorithm for Heterogeneous Multi-Computers (이종의 다중컴퓨터에서 태스크 할당을 위한 효율적인 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, we are considering a heterogeneous processor system in which each processor may have different performance and reliability characteristics. In other to fully utilize this diversity of processing power it is advantageous to assign the program modules of a distributed program to the processors in such a way that the execution time of the entire program is minimized. This assignment of tasks to processors to maximize performance is commonly called load balancing, since the overloaded processors can perform their own processing with the performance degradation. For the task assignment problem, we propose a new objective function which formulates this imbalancing cost. Thus the task assignment problem is to be carried out so that each module is assigned to a processor whose capabilities are most appropriate for the module, and the total cost is minimized that sum of inter-processor communication cost and execution cost and imbalance cost of the assignment. To find optimal assignment is known to be NP-hard, and thus we proposed an efficient heuristic algorithm with time complexity $O(n^2m)$ in case of m task modules and n processors.

A Comparative Study on Daylighting Performance Prediction of Light Tube and Dish Concentrator (광튜브와 디쉬형 집광기의 자연채광 성능 예측 및 비교 연구)

  • This study presents the simulation results of Photopia when a lecture room with north-facing windows were illuminated by two different types of daylighting systems to improve the imbalance in its lighting conditions. Especially, the candela power distribution curves (CDCs) on a clear sunny day at the summer solstice, reaching $80^{\circ}$ in solar altitude, were analyzed with respect to the illuminance available at task areas (work planes). The difference between its illuminance on the north and south areas exceeded 1,000 lux without any daylighting system. This, however, decreased drastically with the application of a daylighting system. When a light tube system was introduced, it reduced from 906lx to 603lx and, even further to 308lx with the application of a dish concentrator system. Generally, the performance of a light tube system was greatly influenced by solar altitude while its effect on the dish concentrator system was rather negligible.

Heart Rate Variability in Kiwooljeung with the Age Group between Twenties and Thirties (기울증(氣鬱症)으로 진단된 2-30대 환자의 심박변동 분석)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to analyze and compare heart rate variability(HRV) of patient of twenties and thirties diagnosed as Kiwooljeung with healthy controls'. Methods : We measured HRV of 35 patient(20 to 39 years old, male 14, female 11) diagnosed as Kiwooljeung and 40 healthy controls(male 24, female 16). HRV was measured by SA-3000P(Medicore, Korea) for 5 minutes after 5 minutes resting. Results : 1. In time domain analysis, Mean pulse rate(PRT) in Kiwooljeung group was higher than healthy controls. Standard deviation of all normal N-N intervals (SDNN) in Kiwooljeung group was lower and the results of twenties and thirties were same. 2. In frequency domain analysis, total power(TP), very low frequency(VLF), low frequency(LF), high frequency(HF), Ln TP, Ln VLF, Ln LF, Ln HF in Kiwooljeung group were lower than healthy controls but LF/HF ratio was higher than healthy controls. 3. Comparing gender in Kiwooljeung group, LF/HF ratio in male was higher than female. Conclusions : This study suggests lower activity and imbalance of cardiac autonomous nervous system in Kiwooljeung with the age group between twenties and thirties.

Design and fabrication of multi-band six-port phase correlator using metamaterial (메타물질 구조 다중대역 6단자 위상상관기 설계 및 제작)

  • The multi-band six-port phase correlator using metamaterial was designed and fabricated in this paper. The lumped metamaterial structure that can process the dual-band receiving signal was analyzed. Based on the analyzed results, the small-sized metamatrial six-port phase correlator for multi-band direct conversion method was proposed and fabricated. Also, the resistive power divider and $90^{\circ}$ hybrid coupler that comprises the six-port phase correlator were implemented based on the scattering parameters of metamatrial six-port phase correlator. The measured results of the proposed six-port phase correlator show the good agreement with simulation results. The performance of the six-port phase correlator shows the reflection loss below -20 dB in the dual-band. Also, the proposed six-port phase correlator got a good transmission characteristic within 1 dB gain difference and ${\pm}4.1^{\circ}$ phase imbalance, respectively.

  • In this pater, we first propose a data distribution framework to resolve load imbalance and bucket oerflow in parallel hash join.Using the histogram equalization technique, the framework transforms a histogram of skewed data to the desired uniform distribution that corresponds to the relative computing power of node processors in the system.Next we propose an effcient parallel hash join algorithm for handing skwed data based on the proposed data distribution methodology.For performance comparison of our algorithm with other hash join algorithms.we perform similation experiments and actual exeution on COREDB database computer with 8-node hyperube architecture. In these experiments, skwed data distebution of the join atteibute is modeled using a Zipf-like distribution.The perfomance studies undicate that our algorithm outperforms other algorithms in the skewed cases.

Effect of Gas Sparging on Sonochemical Oxidation in a 300 kHz Sonoreactor (300 kHz 조건에서의 초음파화학적 산화반응에 대한 연속식 가스 주입 효과)

  • The effect of gas sparging on sonochemical oxidation was investigated in a 300 kHz sonoreactor under various liquid height/volume conditions ($5{\sim}30{\lambda}$, 3.4 ~ 9.0 L), determined by the wavelength of the applied frequency. The electrical input power was maintained constant for all cases . Sonochemical activity drastically decreased from $15{\lambda}$ and the liquid height of $10{\lambda}$ was suggested as the optimal height for 300 kHz without gas sparging. In our previous research, the sonochemical activity observed was five-times higher when air sparging was applied for 36 kHz. On the other hand, no enhancement was obtained at 10, 15, 25 and $30{\lambda}$ using air sparging (1, 3, and 6 L/min) for 300 kHz in this study $20{\lambda}$ and optimization of gas sparging was conducted at $20{\lambda}$ using various gases including air, Ar, $O_2$, $N_2$, and mixtures of Ar and $O_2$. It was found that gas sparging using pure Ar or pure $O_2$ resulted in lower sonochemical activity compared to that of air sparging due to the imbalance between the intensity of cavitation phenomena and the generation of oxidizing radical species. Consequently, the gas mixture of $Ar:O_2$ = 80 % : 20 % (DO saturation ${\approx}100%$) was suggested as an optimal gas sparging condition.

Study on Improvement of Frost Occurrence Prediction Accuracy (서리발생 예측 정확도 향상을 위한 방법 연구)

  • In this study, we constructed using Random Forest(RF) by selecting the meteorological factors related to the occurrence of frost. As a result, when constructing a classification model for frost occurrence, even if the amount of data set is large, the imbalance in the data set for development of model has been analyzed to have a bad effect on the predictive power of the model. It was found that building a single integrated model by grouping meteorological factors related to frost occurrence by region is more efficient than building each model reflecting high-importance meteorological factors. Based on our results, it is expected that a high-accuracy frost occurrence prediction model will be able to be constructed as further studies meteorological factors for frost prediction.
