원전 콘크리트 구조물의 장기내구성능 평가 (Long-Term Performance of Safety Related Concrete Structures in Nuclear Power Plants)

  • Almost 30 years have been passed since the first nuclear power plant was operated in Korea. Many studies have been actively conducted from the early 1990's in order to develop the deterioration management system for concrete structures in NPPs(Nuclear Power Plants) accordingly. Base on these studies, a systematic deterioration management program has developed and operated since 1997. According to this program, systematic inspections to provide database and evaluation were periodically performed (every overhaul at intervals of $12{\sim}18$ month and every five years). Accumulated deterioration database was usefully utilized for the NPP PSR (Periodic Safety Review). In this paper, the long-term durability and integrity of Kori 1,2 NPP concrete structures which are the oldest ones in Korea were evaluated based on the precise inspection database and regulatory inspection results including compressive strength, depth of carbonation, amount of chlorination and spontaneous potential of reinforcing bar, etc. It was noted that Kori 1,2 NPP structures have not any serious durability problems.

상용 CRDI 디젤기관에서 바이오디젤유 20% 적용시 내구시험에 따른 배기배출물 특성 (The Characteristics of Exhaust Emissions by Durability Test with Biodiesel Fuel (20%) in a Commercial CRDI Diesel Engine)

  • A CRDI diesel engine used to commercial vehicle was fueled with diesel fuel and 20% biodiesel blended fuel (BDF 20%) and tested at the Seoul-10 mode for 150 hours. Engine dynamometer testing was completed at regularly scheduled intervals to monitor the engine performance and exhaust emissions. To check the engine parts (valve, injector), the engine was inspected after 150 hours running test. It was concluded that there was no unusual deterioration of the engine, or the changes in engine power (below 1.9%), smoke (below 4.1%), NOx (below 3.7%) and durability characteristics in spite of operation of 150 hours run with BDF 20%. The difference of kinetic viscosity for engine oil (before and after durability testing) was below 0.19% at $100^{\circ}C$.

  • The liquid phase LPG injection (LPLi) system (the third generation technology) has been considered as one of the next generation fuel supply systems for LPG vehicles, since it has a very strong potential to accomplish the higher power, higher efficiency, and lower emission characteristics than the mixer type(the second generation technology) fuel supply system. To investigate the durability property of core part of injector in liquid phase LPG injection system, leakage test, SEM test of injectors and analysis of unvaporized fuel components with various LPG fuel qualities were tested. The experimental results showed that no serious problem in durability test using favorable LPG fuel quality, while high leakage amount due to the large scratches in the needle and nozzle of the injector were found using LPG fuel with highly containing olefin components, especially butadiene species.

동력전달용 베벨기어의 강도평가 및 설계시스템 개발 (1) -AGMA규격 강도기준설계법- (Development of Strength Estimation and Design System of Power Transmission Bevel Gears(I) -A Disign Method Based on Strength and Durability in AGMA Standards-)

  • A design system for power transmission bevel gears(straight, zerol, and spiral) is developed, in which the strength and durability of bevel gears can be estimated and the size of bevel gears can be minimized by introducing optimal techniques. The size of bevel gear pair as the object function to be minimized is the volume of equivalent spur gear pair at mean normal section, and the design variables to be determined are considered as the number of teeth, face width, diametral pitch, and spiral angle in spiral bevel gear. The strength(bending strength, pitting resistance) according to the AGMA standards, geometrical quantities, and operating characteristics(interference of pinion, contact ratio, etc.) are considered as the constraints in design optimization. The optimization with these constraints becomes nonlinear problem and that is solved with ALM(Augmented Lagrange Multiplier) method. The developed design method is applied to the example designs of straight, zerol, and spiral bevel gears. The design results are acceptable from the viewpoint of strength and durability within the design ranges of all other constraint, and the bevel gears are designed toward minimizing the size of gear pair. This design method is easily applicable to the design of bevel gears used as power transmitting devices in machineries, and is expected to be used for weight minimization of bevel gear unit.

PEM 연료전지용 터보 블로워의 내구성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Durability Test for PEM Fuel Cell Turbo-blower)

  • The durability test of turbo-blower for PEM fuel cell is very important process of BOP development. It is a major barrier to the commercialization of these systems for stationary and transportation power applications. Commercial viability depends on improving the durability of the air supply system to increase the reliability and to reduce the lifetime cost. In this study, turbo-blower supported by oil-free bearing is introduced as the air supply system used by 80kW proton exchange membrane fuel systems. The turbo-blower is a turbo machine which operates at high speed, so air foil bearings suit their purpose as bearing elements. The impeller of blower was adopted mixed type of centrifugal and axial. So, it has several advantages for variable operating condition. The turbo-blower test results show maximum parasitic power levels below 1.67kW with the 30,000 rpm rotating speed, the flow rate of air has maximum 163SCFM(@PR1.1). For proper application of FCV, these have to durability test. This paper describes the experiment for confirming endurance and stability of the turbo-blower for 500 hours.

  • 고분자전해질 수소연료전지는 수소와 산소의 전기화학적 반응을 이용하여 전기를 자발적으로 생산하며, 높은 전류밀도와 비교적 낮은 구동온도의 장점을 가져 화석연료를 대체할 미래 친환경 화학에너지 변환 장치이다. 현재 연료전지는 수소전기차를 중심으로 가정용 연료전지, 수소연료전지 발전소 등 다양한 산업에서 활용 중에 있다. 하지만 연료전지 산업의 지속적인 성장을 위해서는 여러 기술적인 문제가 보완되어야 하며, 그 중에서도 연료전지 각 구성요소의 장기 내구성을 필수적으로 확보해야 한다. 특히 연료전지의 연료극과 공기극에서 사용되는 탄소담지 백금촉매는 연료 전지 운전조건에 따라 다양한 기작을 통하여 성능 감소가 일어난다. 이에 연료전지용 촉매의 내구성 파악을 위한 가속테스트법이 다양하게 제시되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 연료전지용 백금 기반 촉매의 성능 감소 기작을 설명하고, 지금까지 제시된 가속스트레스 시험을 통한 내구성 평가 방법에 대해 비교하고자 한다.

LabVIEW를 이용한 자동차 발전기 전압 계측시스템 (Measurement System for Vehicle Electric Power using LabVIEW)

  • 본 차량에 장착되는 전자장비의 증가로 인해 교류발전기와 배터리를 이용하여 전기에너지를 공급하고 있으며, 자동차 교류발전기의 수명단축은 교류발전기를 구성하고 있는 부속품들 중에 수명이 한정적이거나, 어떠한 조건에서 사용되느냐에 따라 수명에 영향을 끼치게 된다. 이러한 수명단축의 원인들을 파악하기 위해서는 교류발전기의 전압을 측정하여 분석하는 시스템이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 자동차 교류발전기의 수명과 성능을 유지하기 위한 점검 및 정비에 필요한 정밀한 계측 시스템을 개발하였다. PC기반의 모니터링 시스템과 측정데이터를 저장할 수 있는 시스템을 설계하고, LabVIEW SW를 이용하여 계측 시스템을 구동하기 위한 프로그램을 개발하였다. 차동 OP-AMP회로를 이용하여 교류발전기의 발전전압, 여자전압, 램프전압, 배터리 전압, 크랭크 각 센서에 의한 엔진 회전수를 NI DAQ를 통하여 전압을 측정하고 LabVIEW 프로그램을 이용하여 측정데이터를 분석하였다. 기존에 개별적으로 이루어졌던 측정을 5개 채널까지 복합적이고 이동성이 용이한 측정이 가능하였고, 실시간으로 모니터링하며 분석하기 때문에 이상동작 유무 및 고장상태를 예측하기 위한 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

철근콘크리트 구조물의 염해에 의한 사용수명 예측에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Service Life Prediction of Reinforced Concrete Structures with Chloride Penetration)

  • Recently, the corrosion of reinforced concrete structures has received great attention related with the deterioration of sea-side structures, such as new airport, bridges, and nuclear power plants. In this regards, many studies have been done on the chloride attack in concrete structures. The purpose of the present study is to explore the influences of chloride attack parameters to service life of reinforced concrete structures and to propose the rational program for the guarantee of service life. for this purpose, several codes for durability design have been examined and the diffusion analysis based on Fick's second law has been performed with various parameter value. The present study indicates that durability design code of Japan Society of Civil Engineers is more rational than other codes but the application of durability design code of JSCE to domestic durability design needs more studies to the various parameter values related with chloride penetration.

자동변속기 구성품의 가속수명평가 방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Accelerated Life Evaluation Method of Component for Automatic Transmission)

  • Automatic transmission(A/T) is one of a car's core components. The durability of A/T has an effect on the durability of the car. The input shaft of A/T passes the power directly from the engine, so the durability of the input shaft for A/T is likewise vital. In this study, the test method of the input shaft is considered and the load spectrum of A/T is analyzed to secure durability of the input shaft. The shape parameter, T-N curve of the input shaft torsional fatigue test are obtained for life evaluation and analysis. Results of this study can be used to get the basic background of the durability test for A/T components.
