Sediments play a major role in determining pollution pattern in aquatic systems and reflecting the pollutant deposition. In the present study analysis the depth effect of organic pollutants and heavy metals using slow release biostimulant ball (BSB) in coastal sediment. BSB size fixed at 3cm, depth varied from 0cm to 10cm depth and 1 and 3 month interval period was carried out for the study. The organic pollutants of chemical oxygen demand, total solids and volatile solids were significantly changed at the surface sediment (0cm)in 1 month and 3 month interval time using BSB. In contrast, sediment depth increase upto 10cm the reduction percentage decrease like to control. Vertical distribution of heavy metals are not consistent from the surface layer toward the bottom layers. Heavy metals fractions were significantly changes, the exchangeable fraction was reduced and other organic and residual fractions were stabilized percentage are increased. This finding concluded BSB is effective for reduce organic pollutants, heavy metals stabilization from the contaminated sediment.
Nash Equilibrium(NE) is essential to investigate a participant's bidding strategy in a competitive electricity market. Congestion on a transmission line makes it difficult to compute the NE due to causing a mixed strategy. In order to compute the NE of a multi-player game, some heuristics are proposed with concepts of a key player and power transfer distribution factor in other studies. However, generation capacity constraints are not considered and make it more difficult to compute the NE in the heuristics approach. This paper addresses an effect of generation capacity limits on the NE, and suggest a solution technique for the mixed strategy NE including generation capacity constraints as two heuristic rules. It is reported in this paper that a role of the key player who controls congestion in a NE can be transferred to other player depending on the generation capacity of the key player. The suggested heuristic rules are verified to compute the mixed strategy NE with a consideration of generation capacity constraints, and the effect of the generation constraints on the mixed strategy NE is analyzed in simulations of IEEE 30 bus systems.

It is a challenging problem to search the intended images from a large number of candidates. Content based image retrieval (CBIR) is the most promising way to tackle this problem, where the most important topic is to measure the similarity of images so as to cover the variance of shape, color, pose, illumination etc. While previous works made significant progresses, their adaption ability to dataset is not fully explored. In this paper, we propose a similarity learning method on the basis of probabilistic generative model, i.e., probabilistic latent semantic analysis (PLSA). It first derives Fisher kernel, a function over the parameters and variables, based on PLSA. Then, the parameters are determined through simultaneously maximizing the log likelihood function of PLSA and the retrieval performance over the training dataset. The main advantages of this work are twofold: (1) deriving similarity measure based on PLSA which fully exploits the data distribution and Bayes inference; (2) learning model parameters by maximizing the fitting of model to data and the retrieval performance simultaneously. The proposed method (PLSA-FK) is empirically evaluated over three datasets, and the results exhibit promising performance.
We propose an imperfect repair model which depends on external effects quantified by covariates. The model is based on the Brown-Proschan imperfect repair model wherefrom the probability of perfect repair is represented by a function of covariates. We are motivated by deficiency of the BP model whose stationarity prevents us from predicting dynamically the time to next failure according to external condition. Five types of function for the probability of perfect repair are proposed. This article also presents a procedure for estimating the parameter of the function for the probability of perfect repair, as well as the inherent lifetime distribution of the system, based on consecutive inter-failure times and the covariates. The estimation procedure is based on the expectation-maximization principle which is suitable to incomplete data problems. focusing on the maximization step, we derive some theorems which guarantee the existence of the solution. A Monte Carlo study is also performed to illustrate the prediction power of the model as well as to show reasonable properties of the estimates. The model reduces significantly the mean square error of the in-sample prediction. so it can be utilized in real fields for evaluating and maintaining repairable systems.

In this work, free vibration analysis of size-dependent functionally graded (FG) nanoplates resting on two-parameter elastic foundation is investigated based on a novel nonlocal refined trigonometric shear deformation theory for the first time. This theory includes undetermined integral variables and contains only four unknowns, with is even less than the conventional first shear deformation theory (FSDT). Mori-Tanaka model is employed to describe gradually distribution of material properties along the plate thickness. Size-dependency of nanosize FG plate is captured via the nonlocal elasticity theory of Eringen. By implementing Hamilton's principle the equations of motion are obtained for a refined four-variable shear deformation plate theory and then solved analytically. To show the accuracy of the present theory, our research results in specific cases are compared with available results in the literature and a good agreement will be demonstrated. Finally, the influence of various parameters such as nonlocal parameter, power law indexes, elastic foundation parameters, aspect ratio, and the thickness ratio on the non-dimensional frequency of rectangular FG nanoscale plates are presented and discussed in detail.

The study aims to analyze the adaptation strategies and resilience of tobacco farmers to face unfavorable trading system. The research method refers to a qualitative approach with phenomenological models and case studies. The findings revealed tobacco farmers in Jember developed various adaptation strategies and resilience through farmer group organizations, partnerships, self-capacity building and access to financial institutions based on economic, social, cultural, and experience values from various sources and interactions among fellow tobacco farmers. The tobacco trading system, which is left to the market mechanism, results in low bargaining power of farmers, this encourages tobacco farmers to develop various adaptation and survival strategies, namely through collective activities of farmer groups, partnerships and self-development and access to financial institutions. Dealing with the unfavorable tobacco trading system, tobacco farmers do not switch to other commodity farming but adapt and make Jember a center for tobacco production in East Java and Indonesia. From this findings, it suggests to the government as the regulator does not only provide subsidies for tobacco farmers, but also must provide various technical assistance to increase the ability of tobacco farmers. More importantly, regulations must be made benefit tobacco farmers other than corporations so that equality can be enjoyed by tobacco economy players.
Laser therapy is becoming an accepted procedure for tissue coagulation and ablation and is especially useful in treating tumors. The laser energy is applied to the tissue of interest through various delivery systems which are introduced percutaneously, via blood vessels, through body openings, or during surgical exposure of the tissue. One of the major obstacles to effective application of lasers has been the lack of reliable method to determine the extent of tissue involvement in real time. Several methods have been proposed for monitoring the tissue response and controlling the laser in real time during laser therapy. Among them, magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) has been introduced to monitor laser-tissue interactions because laser irradiation induces changes not only in the thermal motions of the hydrogen protons within the tissue but also in the distribution and mobility of water and lipids. The buttocks of New Zealand rabbits were treated by KTP and $CO_2$laser(power : 10 watts, exposure time:10 seconds). m images were taken at immediately after lasering, 1 week later, 2 weeks later, and at the same time, tissues were harvested for histopathologic study. We analyzed MR images and histopathologic findigs of laser-treated tissues. The MR images taken immediately after laser treatment showed 3 layer pattern and which was correlated with histopathologic changes. We suggest MRI may become a useful monitoring tools for laser-tissue interaction.
For this research an extension of the LIF technique that the LIEF(Laser Induced Exciplex Fluorescence) technique has been used LIEF technique is the unique method to allows the visualization of fuel vapor phase and liquid phase individually by capturing each signals of them. In this work performed that the basic procedure for advanced LIEF technique using TEA and benzene as dopants md high power KrF excimer laser to excite the dopants. Iso-octane is used as the fuel because it does not absorb light at the laser wavelength. The boiling point of benzene and TEA are $81^{\circ}C\;and89^{\circ}C$, respectively, in comparison to $99^{\circ}C$ for iso-octane. It is observed that the behavior and distribution of high pressed fuel injection from various test condition. The injection pressure is set as 3MPa. and 5MPa. And the ambient pressure of test chamber is atmospheric pressure and 1MPa, the ambient temperature of chamber is room temperature, $300^{\circ}C\;and\;500^{\circ}C$ to imitate the condition of GDI engine cylinder.
A positron camera, consisting of a pair of Anger-type scintillation detectors, has been developed for verifying the ranges of irradiation beams in heavy-ion radiotherapy. Images obtained by a centroid calculation of photomultiplier outputs exhibit a distortion near the edge of the crystal plane in an Anger-type scintillation detector. The images of a $\^$68/Ge line source were detected and look-up tables were prepared for the position correction parameters. Asymmetry of the position distribution detected by the positron camera was prevented with this correction. As a result, a linear position response and a position resolution of 8.6 mm were obtained over a wide measurement field.
Free axial vibration of axially functionally graded (AFG) nanorods is studied by focusing on the inertia of lateral motions and shear stiffness effects. To this end, Bishop's theory considering the inertia of the lateral motions and shear stiffness effects and the nonlocal theory considering the small scale effect are used. The material properties are assumed to change continuously through the length of the AFG nanorod according to a power-law distribution. Then, nonlocal governing equation of motion and boundary conditions are derived by implementing the Hamilton's principle. The governing equation is solved using the harmonic differential quadrature method (HDQM), After that, the first five axial natural frequencies of the AFG nanorod with clamped-clamped end condition are obtained. In the next step, effects of various parameters like the length of the AFG nanorod, the diameter of the AFG nanorod, material properties, and the nonlocal parameter value on natural frequencies are investigated. Results of the present study can be useful in more accurate design of nano-electro-mechanical systems in which nanotubes are used.
