  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the feasibility of a new vault technique through a kinematic comparison of the YANG Hak Seon and Yeo 2 vaults. Method: The photographic images of the YANG Hak Seon and Yeo 2 vaults were collected using a high-speed camera, and their kinematic characteristics were analyzed using three-dimensional image analysis. Results: During the post-flight phase of the Yeo 2 and YANG Hak Seon vaults, the time of flight, height of flight, and flight distance were similar. At the peak of the post-flight phase, the trunk rotation angle of the YANG Hak Seon vault rotated $457^{\circ}$ more than did the Yeo 2 vault. During the post-flight descending period, the twist velocity of the trunk was much faster with the YANG Hak Seon vault ($1,278^{\circ}/s$) than with the Yeo 2 vault ($1,016^{\circ}/s$). Conclusion: To succeed in the new technique, the average twist velocity during post-flight must be maintained at $1,058^{\circ}/s$ and the twist velocity must be increased from the ascending phase.

  • Thin-film $ZnGa_2O_4 : Mn^{2+}$ phosphors of spinel structure were grown on quartz substrate by RF magnetron sputtering method at room temperature. As an increase of post-annealing temperatures, crystallinity, surface roughness and stoichiometry of thin films were varied. At the post-annealing temperatures of $500^{\circ}C$ and $600^{\circ}C$, the luminescence intensity was poor due to the poor crystallinity. The smallest surface roughness was observed at the sample post-annealed at $700^{\circ}C$ leading to low external extraction efficiency, and poor luminescence intensity. The highest luminescence intensity was shown at the sample post-annealed at $800^{\circ}C$. It was because both the surface roughness and crystallnity were optimized. On the other hand, at $900^{\circ}C$, the luminescence intensity was poor due to the violation of stoichiometry.

  • In this paper, we propose an adaptive in-loop filter to improve the coding efficiency. Recently, there are post-filter hint SEI and block-based adaptive filter control (BAFC) methods based on the Wiener filter which can minimize the mean square error between the input image and the decoded image in video coding standards. However, since the post-filter hint SEI is applied only to the output image, it cannot reduce the prediction errors of the subsequent frames. Because BAFC is also conducted with a deblocking filter, independently, it has a problem of high computational complexity on the encoder and decoder sides. In this paper, we propose the low-complexity adaptive in-loop filter (LCALF) which has lower computational complexity by using H.264/AVC deblocking filter, adaptively, as well as shows better performance than the conventional method. In the experimental results, the computational complexity of the proposed method is reduced about 22% than the conventional method. Furthermore, the coding efficiency of the proposed method is about 1% better than the BAFC.

  • Electronic cleansing is an image post processing technique in which the tagged colonic content is subtracted from colon using CTC images. There are post processing artefacts, like: 1) soft tissue degradation; 2) incomplete cleansing; 3) misclassification of polyp due to pseudo enhanced voxels; and 4) pseudo soft tissue structures. The objective of the study was to subtract the tagged colonic content without losing the soft tissue structures. This paper proposes a novel adaptive method to solve the first three problems using a multi-step algorithm. It uses a new edge model-based method which involves colon segmentation, priori information of Hounsfield units (HU) of different colonic contents at specific tube voltages, subtracting the tagging materials, restoring the soft tissue structures based on selective HU, removing boundary between air-contrast, and applying a filter to clean minute particles due to improperly tagged endoluminal fluids which appear as noise. The main finding of the study was submerged soft tissue structures were absolutely preserved and the pseudo enhanced intensities were corrected without any artifact. The method was implemented with multithreading for parallel processing in a high performance computer. The technique was applied on a fecal tagged dataset (30 patients) where the tagging agent was not completely removed from colon. The results were then qualitatively validated by radiologists for any image processing artifacts.

  • In this paper, we propose a new post-processing method, based on the theory of the projection onto convex sets (POCS) to reduce the blocking artifacts in decoded images. We propose a few smoothness constraint set (SCS) and its projection operator in the wavelet transform (WT) domain to remove unnecessary high-frequency components caused by blocking artifacts. We also propose a new method to find and preserve the original high frequency components of the image edge. Experimental results show that the proposed method can not only achieve a significantly enhanced subjective quality, but also have the PSNR improvement in the output image.

  • The cellular neural networks have the circuit structure that differs from the form of general neural network. It consists of an array of the same cell which is a simple processing element, and each of the cells has local connectivity and space invariant template property. In this paper, time-multiplex image processing technique is applied for processing large images using small size CNN cell block, and we simulate the edge detection of a large image using the simulator implemented with a c program and matlab model. A 5$\times$5 CNN hardware and pre post processor is also implemented and is under test.

  • The purpose of this study is first, to see through the aesthetic essence of the clothing as art, through theoretical consideration of cultural feature and body style in Postmodern Feminism. Also, this study will examine the aesthetic value in artistic meaning regarding a Deformational body image in visual an. Second, this study will analysis the formative character of Modern Art to wear which expressed unfixed body style, followed by the change of Postmodern Feminity, as a Deformation image. This character will be categorized by Expansion, Grotesque, Pleasure, and Virtuality. The following is the result of this study. Expansion expressed in modern Art to wear created intentional structure of the form, and intentionally presented refusal of body existence through disembodied. Grotesque expressed refusal and deviation of women's ideal body style, which is defined by mannish discourse, very grotesquely. Pleasure pleasantly presented free emotion through an intentional transformation like distortion or imbalance of the body By paradoxically reproducing women's virtual body as other unfixed female identity was expressed visually through virtuality to embody post-gender.

  • A 2-frame PTV (particle tracking velocimetry) system using the concept of match probability between two consequent image frames has been developed to obtain instantaneous velocity fields. The overall 2-frame PTV system including image pre-processing, tracking algorithm and post-processing routine was implemented to apply to real flows. The developed 2-frame PTV system has several advantages such as high recovery ratio of velocity vectors, low error ratio and small computational time compared with the conventional 4-frame PTV and the FFT-based cross-correlation PIV technique. The 2-frame PTV system was applied to a turbulent channel flow over a rectangular block to check its reliability and usefulness. Total 96 sequential image frames have been captured and processed to get both mean and fluctuating velocity vector fields over the recirculating region. The mean velocity and turbulent intensity profiles were well agreed with hte LDV measurements in the separated region behind the block. Time-averaged reattachment length is about 6.3 times of the block height.

  • We report a case of recurrent dermatofibrosarcoma in a 30-years-old woman who had undergone operations three times during 60 months and had received post-operative radiotherapy. On neurological examination, no neurological deficits were noticed. In brain magnetic resonance image(MRI), there was right parieto-occipital scalp mass with high signal in T2-weighted image, low signal in T1-weighted image with homogeneous enhancement. The removal was done including about 2cm uninvolved margins and pathologic examination of the lesion revealed dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans(DFSP). The prognostic factors of local recurrence may be related to surgical margins for resection; the length from the grossly intact margins, and the microscopically controlled excision in margins.
