In this study, the ground motion was synthesized using the finite fault model by the stochastic green function method, and the difference in the ground motions was evaluated by using various values of the source parameters. An earthquake with a moment magnitude of 6.5 was assumed for the example fault model. The distribution of the slip in the fault plane was calculated using the statistical data of the asperity area. The source parameters considered in this study were the location of the hypocenter in the fault plane and the ratio of the rupture to the shear wave velocity, the rise time, the corner frequency of the source spectrum, and a high frequency filter. The values of the parameters related to the stochastic element source model were adjusted for different tectonic regions, and the others were selected for several possible cases. The response spectra were constructed from the synthesized ground motion time history and compared with the different parameter values. The frequency range affected by each parameter and the differences of the spectral accelerations were evaluated.

In semiconductor etching simulation, The source modeling for generating plasma species is required. In this paper, we modeled the source of plasma etching process with probability distribution and the feature profile with simple geometry objects, then got the flux on the feature profile. The distance between the source and the cell on the modeling parameters of the source, there are a number of particles to be emitted from a source, there is a number (area of the cell) of the cell on the profile with additional parameters to give the calculation of flux. The flux error ratio on both gaussian(Incident Flux) and cosine probability distribution(Incident Neutral Flux) is much decreased as the number of ray is increased but the processing time is more increased than that. The increase of the number of cell and distance makes increase the flux error ratio and the processing time moderately. In view of the processing time through the experimental results in this paper, it is possible to analogize the calculation of appropriate fluxes.

Nowadays, it is possible to construct the DEMs of urban area effectively and economically by LiDAR system. But the data from LiDAR system has form of DSM which is included various objects as trees and buildings. So the preprocess is necessary to extract the DEMs from LiDAR DSMs for particular purpose as effects analysis of man-made objects for flood prediction. As this study is for extracting DEM from LiDAR DSM of urban area, we detected the edges of various objects using edge detecting algorithm of image process. And, we tried mean value filtering, median value filtering and minimum value filtering or detected edges instead of interpolation method which is used in the previous study and could be modified the source data. it could minimize the modification of source data, and the extracting process of DEMs from DSMs could be simplified and automated.
This study examined the environmental characteristics of shore pollution sources in the southern part of the Sinan, Jangsando area in the West Coast of Korea. A shoreline survey of the watershed was conducted to identify the pollution sources and measure the water discharge rate and microbial hygiene of water and finally estimate the possible impact area of pollution. Forty five of pollution sources in total were identified and they were grouped into sewage (33), agriculture waste water (1) and waste water from inland fish farm (11). Nine among them were discharged into the seawater and discharge volume was 72,857~281,250 l/min. Fecal coliforms of St. 72 (sewage) and St. 74 (shrimp farm) were 490 MPN/100 ml and 49 MPN/100 ml and the impact zones of the pollution were 4,389 m and 1,900 m respectively.
This study was carried out in order to evaluate where the soil loss was mainly occurred, .and to verify how riverbed sediments in the tributaries of the Seomjin River were related to their source rocks distributed in Sunchang area. The study area including the Seomjin River with 4 tributaries of Kyeongcheon, Okgwacheon, Changjeong-cheon and Ipcheon was divided into 10 watershed. The RUSLE (Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation) was estimated for all the grids (10 m cells) in the corresponding watershed. The amount of soil loss per unit area was calculated as follows: dry fold (53,140.94 tons/ha/year), orchard (25,063.38 tons/ha/year), paddy field (6,506.7 tons/ha/year) and Idlest (6,074.36 tons/ha/year). The differences of soil loss per unit area appear to be depends on areas described earlier. Soil erosion hazard zones were generally distributed within dry fields. Several thematic maps such as land use maps, topographical maps and soil maps were used as a data to generate the RUSLE factors. The amount of soil loss, computed by using the RUSLE, showed that soil loss mainly occurred at the regions where possible source rocks were distributed along the stream. Based on the this study on soil loss and soil erosion hazard zone together with chondrite-normalized REE patterns that were previously analyzed in same study area, a closed relationship between riverbed sediments and possible source rocks is formed. Especially in the Okgwacheon that are widely distributed by various rocks, chondrite-normalized REE pattern derived from the riverbed sediments, source rock and soil is expected to have a closed relationship with the distribution of soil loss.

Technological advances of mankind, through the development of electrical and communication technologies, have resulted in the exposure to artificial electromagnetic fields (EMF). Technological growth is expected to continue; as such, the amount of EMF exposure will continue to increase steadily. In particular, the use-time of smart phones, that have become a necessity for modern people, is steadily increasing. Social concerns and interest in the impact on the cranial nervous system are increased when considering the area where the mobile phone is used. However, before discussing possible effects of radiofrequency-electromagnetic field (RF-EMF) on the human body, several factors must be investigated about the influence of EMFs at the level of research using in vitro or animal models. Scientific studies on the mechanism of biological effects are also required. It has been found that RF-EMF can induce changes in central nervous system nerve cells, including neuronal cell apoptosis, changes in the function of the nerve myelin and ion channels; furthermore, RF-EMF act as a stress source in living creatures. The possible biological effects of RF-EMF exposure have not yet been proven, and there are insufficient data on biological hazards to provide a clear answer to possible health risks. Therefore, it is necessary to study the biological response to RF-EMF in consideration of the comprehensive exposure with regard to the use of various devices by individuals. In this review, we summarize the possible biological effects of RF-EMF exposure.

In this study, we have intended to precisely analyze the aspect of propagation and the extent of damage due to the traffic noise as hon as a main source of noise in urban area. The propagation of traffic noise has a strong relationship between distance and shape of surface. Thus, it is necessary to consider the distribution of buildings for estimating effects of noise in urban area because noise propagations will be affected by buildings. For this, we developed the DEM and DBM using the airborne LiDAR data in the study area and compared with results from the noise simulations using the each model. The extent of damage occurred by the traffic noise above 60 dB(A) from the case of DEM were shown at the 60% of a whole study area, whereas the extent from other case of DBM were shown at the 30% of a whole study area. Also, the extent of the noise levels between 45 dB(A) and 50 dB(A) will be generally recognized as calm environment was increased(the 0% to the 43%) in the case which simulated with building informations. These results indicated that the shape informations of buildings like a DBM is a essential source to simulate the propagation of traffic noise in urban area especially. With results in this study, the effect of traffic noise at a specific area will be easily and precisely estimated if we have the LiDAR data and a traffic census for Korea. Furthermore specific area's traffic noise simulation could be possible using only road traffic information once we have DBM data from LiDAR surveying. This also could be applied as a base data for noise pollution petitioning, traffic planning, construction, etc. in huge city planning projects like a U-City.
The first operation of alarm system starts at a detector. And the largest effect is produced on the operation of detector by the fire source position and installation position. Nevertheless, the Korean standard for the installation of detector only specifies matters of fire detector installation according to area and height, without consideration of installation position and fire source position. Therefore, this study carried out a fire test in consideration of detector installation position and fire source position (5 places) in order to minimize casualties owing to the fast operation of fire detector when a fire occurred. Considering that it took the longest time for a detector close to a wall to work in the results of this test, it was possible to find that a minimum clearance to the wall was required.

A depth measurement system that consists of a single camera, a laser light source and a rotating mirror is investigated. The camera and the light source are fixed, facing the rotating mirror. The laser light is reflected by the mirror and projected to the scene objects whose locations are to be determined. The camera detects the laser light location on object surfaces through the same mirror. The scan over the area to be measured is done by mirror rotation. Advantages are 1) the image of the light stripe remains sharp while that of the background becomes blurred because of the mirror rotation and 2) the only rotating part of this system is the mirror but the mirror angle is not involved in depth computation. This minimizes the imprecision caused by a possible inaccurate angle measurement. The detail arrangement and experimental results are reported.
Analysis and Tracking of bug reports is a challenging field in software repositories mining. It is one of the fundamental ways to explores a large amount of data acquired from defect tracking systems to discover patterns and valuable knowledge about the process of bug triaging. Furthermore, bug data is publically accessible and available of the following systems, such as Bugzilla and JIRA. Moreover, with robust machine learning (ML) techniques, it is quite possible to process and analyze a massive amount of data for extracting underlying patterns, knowledge, and insights. Therefore, it is an interesting area to propose innovative and robust solutions to analyze and track bug reports originating from different open source projects, including Mozilla and Eclipse. This research study presents an ML-based classification model to analyze and track bug defects for enhancing software engineering management (SEM) processes. In this work, Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and Naive Bayesian (NB) classifiers are implemented using open-source bug datasets, such as Mozilla and Eclipse. Furthermore, different evaluation measures are employed to analyze and evaluate the experimental results. Moreover, a comparative analysis is given to compare the experimental results of ANN with NB. The experimental results indicate that the ANN achieved high accuracy compared to the NB. The proposed research study will enhance SEM processes and contribute to the body of knowledge of the data mining field.
