This paper is concerned with the implementation of auto-tuning positive position feedback controller using a digital signal processor and microcontroller. The main advantage of the positive position feedback controller is that it can control a natural mode of interest by tuning the filter frequency of the positive position feedback controller to the natural frequency of the target mode. However, the positive position feedback controller loses its advantage when mistuned. In this paper, the fast fourier transform algorithm is implemented on the microcontroller whereas the positive position feedback controller is implemented on the digital signal processor. After calculating the frequency which affects the vibrations of structure most, the result is transferred to the digital signal processor. The digital signal processor updates the information on the frequency to be controlled so that it can cope with both internal and external changes. The proposed scheme was installed and tested using a beam equipped with piezoceramic sensor and actuator. The experimental results show that the auto-tuning positive position feedback controller proposed in this paper can suppress vibrations even when the target structure undergoes structural change thus validating the approach.

Objective: The purpose of this study is to explore and analyze the way pre-service early childhood teachers think about teacher happiness through metaphor analysis. Methods: A total of 225 pre-service teachers were selected from 4-year universities in the Gyeongnam area and open questionnaires were distributed to the participants. A total of 207 out of the 225 questionnaires were selected for the study. Results: First, based on psychological well-being, positive interpersonal relationship, self-acceptance, autonomy, environmental control, and life purpose were derived. Pre-service early childhood teachers typified teacher happiness into five types: positive interpersonal relationships, self-acceptance, autonomy, environmental control, and life purpose. Second, pre-service early childhood teachers perceived teacher happiness as positive. Third, pre-service early childhood teachers perceived interpersonal relationships, self-acceptance, and purpose of life as positive, while environmental control and autonomy were perceived as negative. Conclusion/Implications: The results of this study suggest that it is necessary to improve the quality of teachers' education and to develop a program to raise positive awareness of future early childhood teachers. These study results can also be used as basic data for high quality teacher education.
This paper presents active vibration control scheme of multi-mode forced vibration using piezocetamic sensors and actuators. The control scheme adopted is the Positive Position Feedback (PPF) control. Among various vibration control techniques. PPF control technique makes use of generalized displacement measurements to accomplish the vibration suppression. Two independent controllers are implemented to control the first and the second modes of the beam under external excitation. Experimental results for various damping ratios and feedback gains of the PPF controllers are compared with respect to the contorl efficiency. The results indicate that steady state vibration under wide band excitation can be controlled effectively when multiple sets of PZT sensors and actuators were used with PPF control technique.
Purpose: To determine predictive factors for detecting renal parenchymal damages (RPDs) in infants with recurrent febrile urinary tract infection (fUTI). Methods: From January 2015 to December 2021, 102 infants with recurrent fUTI and who underwent 99mTc-dimercaptosuccinic acid (DMSA) renal scan in our hospital were included in this study. Controls included infants with normal DMSA results performed 3 months apart from the 2nd episode of fUTI. DMSA-positive group included infants with positive DMSA results performed 3 months apart from the 2nd episode of fUTI or at the 3rd episode of fUTI. The recurrence rate, causative bacteria, renal size discrepancy of both kidneys, and laboratory findings including C-reactive protein (CRP) and spot urine sodium-to-potassium ratio (uNa/K) were compared between both groups. Results: Only 3.8% of 79 infants with a 2nd episode of fUTI showed positive DMSA results. fUTI recurred more frequently within 12 months of follow-up in the DMSA-positive group than in the control group (69% vs. 13%, P<0.001). CRP values were significantly higher in the DMSA-positive group than in the control group (7.3 mg/dL vs. 3.7 mg/dL, P<0.001). Spot uNa/K were significantly lower in the DMSA-positive group than in the control group (0.6 vs. 1.1, P<0.001). Conclusions: Congenital renal scar and RPDs on the DMSA scan were more frequently found in infants with recurrent fUTI than those in the control group. High CRP values and low spot uNa/K in acute infections were helpful in predicting the presence of RPD in infants with recurrent fUTI.
The study wanted to verify the effect of emotional sub-compression, a negative variable of emotional labor, on job performance, on security personnel working at private security companies, and further to verify how the impact on emotional sub-compression can affect job performance through the first draft of regulation. Empirical analysis through the study model showed that emotional edema was not a significant effect, but a negative effect on job performance, and that it did not affect the control focus itself. This revealed that emotional harmony has been shown to have a negative impact on performance due to the present state and conflicting situations in one's emotions, which means that emotional harmony does not affect negative or positive effects depending on a person's attributes. It also showed that the temperamental control focus on job performance had a positive impact on employees with an improvement focus and had a negative impact on employees with a preventive focus, and that a temperamental control focus between emotional dissonance and job performance had an effect. This indicated that job performance was affected by a temperamental control focus and that employees with an improvement focus had a positive effect and had a positive effect on performance. The implications of the study in this study are that it can have target differentiation in the areas where the study was conducted on guard workers, a social issue related to the study of emotional labor, and it can be meaningful that the study of emotional labor had a control focus and measured both positive and negative tendencies. It is also believed that there will be contributions to the verification of differences in performance resulting from employee propensity and by linking it with a variable called emotional instability. However, the data collected have the limitations of the subject and region, and the emphasis on cross-sectional analysis and the representative of the various emotions to verify the negative effects of emotional labor, and the problem of securing reliability related to the adjustment focus verification are the limitations of the research.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a child abuse prevention education program for parents. Furthermore, the aim was to investigate the impact of child abuse prevention education on parents' response to positive emotion, parenting stress, and potential for child abuse. Methods: A randomized controlled pretest posttest design was used. A total of 60 participants, who were parents with children aged 1~5 and attending 8 nurseries and kindergartens located in Daegu, were recruited. They were randomly assigned to an experimental group (n=30) and a control group (n=30). The collected data were analyzed by an independent t-test, paired t-test, and χ2-test along with descriptive statistics using IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0. Child abuse prevention education for the experimental group included four modules on child rights, understanding child abuse, proper child discipline, and positive parenting attitudes. Results: The experimental group showed a significant difference in positive rumination from the control group (t=2.15, p=.036). The experimental group reported a significant difference in dampening from the control group (t=-2.49, p=.016). Additionally, the experimental group reported a significant difference in parenting stress from the control group (t=-2.12, p=.038) and also reported significant differences in child abuse potential from the control group (t=-2.26, p=.028). Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that child abuse prevention education for parents can improve positive rumination, reduce dampening, and reduce parenting stress and child abuse potential. Therefore, this study is useful in demonstrating how parental susceptibility to child abuse can be decreased. Future studies should pursue long-term programs and counseling programs.
Objective: This study aims to provide empirical data on epidemic management measures and childcare teacher education in centers. It examines the relationship between infectious disease knowledge, health control knowledge, and self-efficacy in relation to the practice of preventive behaviors among infant and toddler teachers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: The study involved 300 teachers from Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS 23.0. Results: The study found that there is a positive relationship between childcare teachers' knowledge of infectious diseases and their engagement in preventive behavior. Additionally, internal control among the health care factors of childcare teachers also showed a positive relationship. Furthermore, the study revealed that the self-efficacy of childcare teachers is positively associated with their practice of preventive behavior. Overall, infectious disease knowledge, internal control measures, and self-efficacy were all found to have positive relationships with preventive behavior. Conclusion/Implications: This study proposes a new direction for future teacher education by highlighting the effectiveness of psychological factors, specifically health control materials and self-efficacy, in addition to focusing on improving infectious disease knowledge.
To determine the effects of Mahaengeuigam-tang(MHEGT) on obesity, the obesity-related factors (gastrin, CGRP, ghrelin, glucagon-like peptide-1, insulin, orexin, leptin, serotonin, NPY) were investigated in the stomach, pancreas, brain of mice by immunohistochemical methods for 4 weeks after Mahaengeuigam-tang(MHEGT) administration. The change of boy weight decreased in MHEGT administered group than that of control group. The immunohistochemical density of the gastrin and CGRP positive cells on pylorus of stomach increased in MHEGT administered group than that of control group. The number of ghrelin immunoreactive cells on stomach decreased in MHEGT administered groups than that of control group. The immunohistochemical density of GLP-1 in the pancreas decreased in MHEGT administered group than that of control group. The immunohistochemical density of insulin positive cells in the pancreas decreased in MHEGT administered group than that of control group. The immunohistochemical density of orexin and NPY positive neurons in the diencephalon was slightly stronger in MHEGT administered group than that of control group. The immunohistochemical density of serotonin and leptin positive neurons was stronger in MHEGT administered group than that of control group. These results demonstrate that Mahaengeuigam-tang(MHEGT) increased the immunohistochemical density of factors related to appetite inhibitors, and decreased the immunohistochemical density of factors related to stimulator of food intake in stomach, pancreas and brain.
Objectives: The purpose of the study was to investigate the relationship between oral health locus of control and oral health behavior promotion in the adolescents.
