유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 양육 역량과 분노 표현과의 관계: 자녀에 대한 염려의 매개효과 (The Mediating Effects of Concern: The Relationship Between Parenting Competence and Anger Expression Among Mothers with Young Children)

  • Objective: This study aimed to find out whether concern for children mediates the impact of parenting competence on the anger expression of mothers with young children. Methods: Subjects consisted of 219 mothers with children aged 3 to 6 years old attending kindergartens and daycare centers. The motehrs were given 3 rating scales about parenting competence, concerns about their children, and anger expression. The Parental Anger Scales measuring anger expression consisted of sub-factors such as situational anger, impulsive behavior, and difficulty of anger control. Results: Using the data collected, correlation analysis and the regression analysis procedure by Baron & Kenny(1968) were conducted; the significance of the mediating effects was verified by the Sobel test. First, the study found that there were significant positive correlations between mother's parenting competence, concern about children, and anger expression. Second, mothers' concern about their children had partial mediating effects on the relationships between parenting competence and overall anger expression, situational anger and impulsive behavior, and a complete mediating effect on the relationship between parenting competence and difficulty with anger control. Conclusion/Implications: These results were discussed in terms of the approach and content of parent education to help parents with young children control their anger.

뇌성마비아 어머니의 양육 스트레스, 우울 및 양생과의 관계 (Relationship Between Parenting Stress, Depression, and Yangsaeng in Mothers with Cerebral Palsy Children)

  • Purpose: This study examines parenting stress, depression, and Yangsaeng in mothers with cerebral palsy children, providing information that may be helpful in the development of a health intervention program that may improve the lives of the mothers. Methods: The subjects of this study were 124 mothers with cerebral palsy children; the subjects were selected by convenience sampling. The collected data were processed by using the SPSS program and analyzed by using descriptive statistics and Pearson's correlation. Results: Parenting stress in mothers with cerebral palsy children was $91.84\pm20.75$, depression was $20.54\pm11.30$, and Yangsaeng was $92.77\pm15.79$ There was a positive relationship between parenting stress and depression. Parenting stress and depression were negatively related with Yangsaeng. Conclusions: The results suggest that Yangsaeng as an oriental health care regimen can lower the level of parenting stress and depression. In this regard, to promote a healthier life for mothers with cerebral palsy children, it would be beneficial to develop a nursing intervention program that incorporates the use of Yangsaeng.

걸음마기 아동의 부정적 정서성과 어머니의 양육행동간 관계: 어머니의 성격특성의 조절효과 (The Relationship between Toddler's Negative Emotionality and Mother's Parenting Behavior : The Moderating Role of a Mothers' Personality)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between toddler's negative emotionality, parenting behavior, and the moderating roles of mother's personality. The participants in this study consisted of 221 mothers of toddlers (aged from 18 to 35months) in Seoul. The participants completed questionnaires on toddler's negative emotionality, their personality and parenting behavior. The collected data were mainly analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Duncan test, Pearson's correlation and the multiple regression analysis. The main findings of this study were as follows. First, there was a significant difference in the negative parenting behavior according to the mother's educational level. Second, relations between individual variables and parenting behavior were analyzed. As a result, number of children, mother's age, toddler's negative emotionality, and mother's personality were significantly correlated with parenting behavior. Third, through the analysis of the moderating effect of the mother's personality on the relationship between the toddler's negative emotionality and parenting behavior, it was found that interactions between the mother's neuroticism and the toddlers' negative emotionality affected the mother's warm parenting behavior. And interactions between the mother's extraversion and the toddlers's negative emotionality affected the mother's rejection parenting behavior. The results of this study provide basic data to support mothers' positive parenting behavior.

학령전기 아동의 정서인지행동특성과 양육스트레스 (The Relationship of the Parenting Stress with Child's Characteristics in Preschool Children)

  • Objectives : The objective of this study was to evaluate the relationship of the parenting stress with their children's characteristics for typically developing preschool children. Methods : Parents of 38 preschool children (mean age : 4.4${\pm}$0.7 years, 22 boys) completed the Korean Parenting Stress Index, the Korean Child Behavior Checklist, the Conners Parent and Teacher Rating Scale-Abbreviated form (CPRS and CTRS), the Junior Temperament and Character Inventory, the Children's Sleep Habit Questionnaire and the Social Responsiveness Scale. All 38 children performed the Comprehensive Attention Test (CAT). Results : The children's inattentive and hyperactive problems, as measured by the CBCL, CPRS and CAT, had positive correlation with parenting stress. Both internalizing and externalizing behavioral problems were associated with parenting stress. Of the child's temperament dimensions, Novelty Seeking and Harm Avoidance were positively correlated with parenting stress, but Persistence and Cooperativeness were negatively correlated with parenting stress. Sleep anxiety and other sleep characteristics showed a correlation with parenting stress. Social Motivation and Communication were also positively related to parenting stress. Conclusion : Our results suggest that parenting stress could be related to the children's cognition, emotion, behavioral characteristics, sleep habits and social development. These results could assist in the development of interventions to improve the parental well-being in typically developing preschool children.

영아 자녀를 둔 어머니의 양육스트레스 영향요인 -어머니의 취업여부를 중심으로- (Parenting Stress and Related Factors of Employed and Non-employed Mothers with Infants)

  • 이 연구는 영아 자녀를 둔 어머니의 양육 환경 특성과 양육과정에 경험할 수 있는 스트레스 수준과의 관계를 어머니의 취업여부를 중심으로 확인하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 한국아동패널의 2008년 자료를 활용하여 취업 중인 어머니 625명과 미취업 어머니 1,453명의 자료를 t 검증과 위계적 회귀분석을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 영아 자녀를 둔 어머니들은 보통 정도의 양육스트레스를 경험하고 있으며, 양육비용, 육아정보 선택, 자녀의 정서적 안정에 대한 책임감에서 비교적 높은 수준의 스트레스를 경험하고 있다. 둘째, 영아의 양육을 직접 감당하고 있는 미취업 어머니들이 취업 어머니들에 비해 양육 상황을 더 부담스럽게 인식하고 있다. 취업 어머니들이 더 건강한 심리상태를 유지하고 있으며, 남편과 양호한 관계를 형성하고 있고, 양육에 대한 지식의 수준과 사회적 지원에 대한 인식도 높아 현재의 양육 환경과 양육 과정을 더 긍정적으로 인지하고 있다. 셋째, 양육환경 변인의 상대적 영향력을 살펴보면 두 집단 모두에서 어머니의 심리적 특성이 양육스트레스에 가장 높은 영향력을 미쳤다. 넷째, 미취업 어머니 집단에서만 아버지의 양육참여 정도가 어머니의 양육스트레스에 영향을 미침이 확인되었다.

부모의 긍정적 양육방식이 휴대전화 의존도에 미치는 영향 -자아탄력성의 매개효과와 성별 조절효과의 융합적 접근- (The Effect of Positive Parenting Attitude on Mobile Phone Dependency -A convergent approach to the Mediating Effects of Ego-Resiliency and Gender-Moderating effects-)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 청소년들의 휴대전화 의존도를 낮추는 방향을 모색하는데 있다. 2013년 한국아동청소년패널조사(KCYPS) 초등학교 4학년 4차중 중학교 1학년 1,972명의 자료가 사용되었다. 본 연구에는 SPSS 21.0이 사용되었다. 기술통계 분석, 신뢰도 분석, 상관 분석 및 다중회귀 분석을 통하여 부모의 긍정적 양육방식과 휴대전화 의존도 사이에서 갖는 자아탄력성의 매개효과와 성별의 조절효과를 검증하였다. 그 결과 부모의 긍정적 양육 방식은 자아탄력성에 정(+)의 영향을 미치나 휴대전화 의존도에는 부(-)의 영향을 미쳤다. 자아탄력성은 휴대전화 의존도에 부(-)의 영향을 미치며, 두변수 사이에서 매개역할을 했다. 성별은 두 변수 사이에서 조절역할을 했다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 부모와 자녀에게 과도한 휴대전화 의존도로부터 발생할 수 있는 문제에 대처할 수 있는 방향을 제시했다.

어머니의 양육유형 및 민감성이 영아의 발달에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Maternal Parenting Style and Sensitivity on Infant Development)

  • A total of 31 mothers of 5-month-old infants(18 boys and 13 girls) were observed and interviewed at home via a questionnaire format. Results revealed that perceived maternal parenting style had an effect on general infant general development. As mother exhibited more didactic and limit setting behaviors, the infants showed more receptive, expressive, and language development characteristics. Furthermore, the effects of maternal sensitivity on infant general development and language skills were also ascertained. The infants who showed more positive general development had mothers who interacted sensitively with them. Maternal sensitivity was the only factor that had a major effect on infant general development. The overall findings of this study indicate that perceived maternal parenting style and observed maternal sensitivity were found to have positive effects on general infant general development and language skills.

마인드맵을 활용한 노래가사분석(Lyric Analysis) 활동을 통한 장애아동 어머니의 양육스트레스 감소에 관한 연구 (Study of Lyric Analysis Using a Mind-map on Parenting Stress in Mothers of Children with Disability)

  • 본 연구는 마인드맵을 활용한 노래가사분석 활동이 장애아동 어머니의 양육스트레스에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 양육스트레스 검사의 수치가 높은 장애아동 어머니 6명을 선별하여 노래가사분석 중심의 활동을 실시하였다. 총 14회기 진행 전후 차이를 조사하기 위해 QRS(Questionnaire on Resource and Stress) 척도를 실시하였으며, 대상자의 상세한 변화를 알아보기 위해 회기평가 설문지 실시 및 프로그램 진행 과정 중 마인드 맵핑에 나타나는 대상자들의 언어적, 행동적 반응 변화를 분석하였다. 마인드맵을 활용한 노래가사분석 활동 중재 이후 통계학적 유의미한 차이를 보였으며(p<.05), 특히 세션 중 나타난 대상자의 반응 분석결과, 각자의 생각을 정리하고, 다른 동료를 이해하는데 도움이 되었음을 알 수 있다. 이러한 결과들은 마인드맵을 활용한 노래가사분석 활동이 장애아동 어머니의 양육스트레스에 긍정적인 영향을 줄 수 있음을 보여주었다.

어머니의 영아에 대한 애착 및 양육효능감이 영아-어머니의 상호작용에 미치는 영향 (The effect of maternal attachment and parenting efficacy on infant-mother's interactions)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 어머니의 영아에 대한 애착과 양육효능감이 영아-어머니의 상호작용에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위해 전라북도 G시의 어린이집 영아와 영아의 어머니 180명을 대상으로 연구를 실시하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 어머니의 영아에 대한 애착, 양육효능감, 영아-어머니 상호작용은 보통이상으로 나타났다. 둘째, 어머니의 영아에 대한 애착과 영아-어머니 상호작용은 정적상관이 나타났다. 특히 민감한 반응과 정적상관이 가장 높게 나타났다. 반면 냉담은 영아-어머니 상호작용 전체와 부적상관이 나타났다. 셋째, 어머니의 양육효능감과 영아-어머니 상호작용은 정적상관이 나타났으며 특히 민감한 반응과 정적상관이 가장 높게 나타났다. 의사소통, 전반적 양육효능감은 민감한 반응과 정적상관이 존재하였다. 교육과 통제는 양육자의 언어적 모델링과, 정적상관이 가장 높게 나타났다. 넷째, 영아-어머니 상호작용에 미치는 요인은 어머니 양육효능감의 의사소통, 통제, 전반적 양육효능감이었으며, 어머니의 영아에 대한 애착에서는 접촉추구, 결속이 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

선천성심장병 아동이 인지한 어머니의 양육태도와 자아존중감과 학교생활 적응과의 관계 (Relationship of Children's Perception of Mothers' Parenting Attitude to Self-esteem and School Adjustment in Children with Congenital Heart Disease)

  • Purpose: The main purpose of this study was to describe the relationship of mothers' parenting attitude as perceived by the child to self-esteem, and school adjustment of school age children with Tetrology of Fallot (TOF). Methods: In this study a self-administered questionnaire survey was used to collect the data. The participants included 38 children who were registered in a pediatric cardiology clinic in one tertiary medical center. Their ages were between 11 and 15 years. They were diagnosed with TOF, and had no other congenital problems. Data were collected from November 1 to November 30, 2009. After obtaining telephone consent from the mothers and children, questionnaires were mailed to 64 participants and 38 questionnaires were returned. Data were analyzed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) WIN 15.0 version. Results: There was a significant correlation between perceived parenting attitude, self-esteem, and school adjustment of children with TOF. Conclusion: Children who perceive their mothers' parenting attitude to be more positive also report higher self-esteem and better school adjustment. These findings are similar to other studies done with healthy school age children. However, parents of children with TOF may require different parenting approaches to foster positive self-esteem and school adjustment.
