An Empirical Study on the Status and Performance of FTA Utilization in Shandong Province, China (중국 산동성의 FTA 활용현황과 성과에 관한 실증연구)

  • Purpose - This study analyzed the correlation and effect of FTA environmental factors (company internal environmental factors, corporate external environmental factors) between FTA utilization and performance of Shandong companies in China. Design/methodology/approach - To test the hypothesis, SPSS 24.0 statistical packages were used based on the collected data. Findings - First, it was confirmed that internal environmental factors (international marketing orientation, corporate competitiveness, and corporate awareness of FTA) of companies had a positive(+) effect on FTA utilization. Second, The government's support for FTA utilization will have a significant positive (+) effect on companies' FTA utilization.Non-tariff barriers will have a negative (-) effect on companies' use of FTA. Third, A company's FTA utilization will have a significant positive effect on FTA performance. Research implications or Originality - If Shandong companies want to increase the utilization of FTAs, they should strengthen international marketing, such as collecting information on competitors and improving product quality and price competitiveness, and increase corporate competitiveness through active export activities to the global market.In order to increase the awareness of FTA among enterprises in Shandong Province, the government should strengthen the relevant education of enterprises about FTA.

Factors Influencing Depressive Symptoms of Married Working Women: The Korean Longitudinal Survey of Women and Family 2017-2018 (기혼직장여성의 우울증에 미치는 영향요인: 여성가족패널 조사 7차년도(2017-2018) 자료 활용)

  • Objectives: The aim of this study was to examine factors influencing depressive symptoms among married working women using the dataset of the Korean Longitudinal Survey of Women and Family (KLoWF 7th). There were 1,030 subjects. Methods: A multiple regression model was used to study the factors influencing depressive symptoms among married working women. Results: The authors found a negative relationship between satisfaction with spouse household-labor (b=-0.606, p=0.022) and depressive symptoms among married working women, a negative relationship with spouse (b=-0.237, p<0.001) and a negative spousal perception of working (b=-0.709, p=0.045), a positive relationship with excessive working hours (b=0.397, p=0.027), a positive relationship with temporal oppression on workload (b=0.422, p=0.002), and a positive relationship between workplace discrimination (b=0.053, p=0.046) and depressive symptoms among married working women. Conclusions: This study suggests that family life and working environments are important factors for depressive symptoms in married women workers. The findings of this study will be helpful to policymakers to design plans to decrease depressive symptoms among married working women.

The effects of market orientation, CEO capacity and environmental characteristics of companies expanding to overseas markets on their performance (국내 해외진출 기업의 시장지향성과 최고경영자역량 및 해외시장 환경특성이 해외진출성과에 미치는 영향)

  • The objective of this study is to verify the effect of the market orientation, CEO capacity, and environmental characteristics of overseas markets on the performance of overseas expansion among the success factors of domestic overseas expansion companies. For this purpose, employees of domestic overseas companies based in the Seoul metropolitan area were surveyed, and the hypothesis test was conducted. As a result of the verification, among the contributors to overseas advancement of domestic overseas companies, the factors of CEO capacity, overseas business_education ability, market environment and market size have a significant positive effect on the financial performance of overseas expansion. However, market-oriented factors were found to have no significant effect on the financial performance of overseas expansion. Among the contributors to overseas advancement of domestic overseas companies, the market-oriented factor, the customer-oriented factor, has a significant positive effect on the non-financial performance of overseas expansion. However, factors in CEO competency and environmental characteristics in overseas markets do not have a significant positive effect on the non-financial performance of overseas expansion.

Factors Influencing on the Intention to Use Serious Games for Healthcare: The Perspective of Valence Framework (건강 기능성 게임의 수용에 영향을 주는 요인: 감정가 프레임워크 관점)

  • In order to verify the factors affecting the acceptance of Serious Games for Healthcare (SGHs), this study developed a hierarchical model of general and specific benefit and risk factors affecting the intention to use SGHs based on the valence framework. As a result based on 199 samples, it was revealed that perceived customization and perceived schedule flexibility had a positive effect on the perceived benefits, which, in turn, had a positive effect on the intention to use SGHs. However, among the specific risk factors, only privacy risk had a positive effect on perceived risk, but it did not have a effect on SGHs usage intention. The results related to the fact that the survey respondents were potential users of SGHs and the bias that may overestimate the benefits provided by SGHs called optimistic bias. Based on these findings, some implications were presented such as the spread and distribution of SGHs to the ordinary persons, improvement of negative perceptions of games, and the need for data-based services to refine customized services for SGHs.

Attitudes of Nursing Educators Toward Percussional Nursing (간호학 교수들의 간호전문직에 대한 태도 조사연구)

  • This study of nurse educator's attitudes which found aspects of professional nursing was carried out from September 10 to 30, 1977. Subjects were 205 respondents from a total population of 314 nurse educators from the level of instructors to professors in all the diploma (post high school 3 year), professional junior college (3 year level) and university (4 year) nursing schools in Korea. Specific objectives were to determine their attitudes about the 1. social position of nursing as a profession, 2. nurses attitudes towards their word, 3. factors influencing the development of nursing, 4. the future of nursing, 5. nursing educational problems, 6. their own educational position's intrinsic job satisfaction and 7. their salary and benefits. The instrument used was a questionnaire developed from consultations with nursing educators and sociologists, and based on earlier. worts by Burke (1976), Mason (1974) and Hong 1969. Data were analysis by computer using one-way analysis. Statistically significant findings included the following; 1. Responses were positive toward all seven aspects of professional nursing. 2. Compared to diploma nursing school staff whose responses were positive, professional and university school faculty response toward the social position of nursing were neutral. 3. Faculty with clinical experience of 10 to 19 years were most positive in their responses about nurses' attitudes towards their work. In all three types of schools, in comparison to professors, associate professors' responses were more positive about nurses' attitudes toward their work. Faculty with longer clinical experience expressed high agreement with statements about factors which influence the development of nursing. Without any differences between school, all faculty had positive attitudes towards the future of nursing, the younger the staff member, the more positive were the responses. 4. faculty in diploma schools and those with 10 to 19 years clinical experience expressed high agreement with statement about nursing educational problems, 6. their own educational position's intrinsic job satisfaction and 7. their salary and benefits.   • The purpose of this study is to examine the influence that factors for a successful venture have on business performance. To fulfill this goal, factors for a successful venture are presupposed as the four elements of business creator, technological innovation, type of strategy, and organization, while business performance is set as subordinate variable, with a view to creating a model and establishing a hypothesis for a positive analysis. Data collection for the positive analysis was conducted using a questionnaire, and as for sampling, of the companies located in Seoul and greater metropolitan region and registered with Small and Medium Business Administration as of late December 2012, 98 companies have been selected for the final data. And I have come up with the two following results. First, factors for venture success have all proven to exercise statistically significant influence on business performance. Second, of all factors for venture success, business creator and technological innovation exercise huge influence on business performance, as compared to the other factors. From these two conclusions, it is understood that to upgrade business performance of a venture, business creator and technological innovation should be given priority over the other factors.

The Effect of Critical Work Factors on Job Motivation and Satisfaction: An Empirical Study from Vietnam

  • This paper aims to evaluate the effects of Critical work factors on Work Motivation and Job Satisfaction of young Vietnamese employees. The four most essential work aspects were consisting of the Work environment, Employee empowerment, Salary, and Promotion opportunities. To empirically evaluate the proposed research model, the authors assemble data through conducting questionnaire interviews with young employees working in Vietnamese firms. A sample of 216 respondents was constructed using the PLS-SEM program to highlight the testing of thirteen hypotheses. The testing results indicate that four Critical work factors positively impact the job motivation of young employees, especially two factors as Salary and Promotion opportunities. Surprisingly, the hypothesis regarding the positive direct relationship between Promotion opportunities and Job satisfaction is not supported. Meanwhile, the rest influence factors have a significant connection with the Vietnamese worker's job satisfaction. The mediation role of Work motivation was also tested by examining the indirect positive relationship between four Critical work factors and Job satisfaction. This paper is the first study that focuses on young employees; hence, these research findings provide Vietnamese human resource managers some suggestions for reference, which can be considered the dynamic factors on the young Vietnamese employees.

Effects of Grit, Positive Emotions, and Teamwork on Clinical Practice Satisfaction of Nursing Students (간호대학생의 그릿, 긍정적 정서, 팀워크가 임상실습 만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study is a descriptive research study conducted to identify the grit, positive emotions, teamwork, and clinical practice satisfaction of nursing college students, and to identify factors that affect clinical practice satisfaction. The participants of the study were fourth grade nursing students from two universities located in U city and G city. The SPSS 21.0 program was used to analyze the data into descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression. As a result of the study, there was a positive correlation between grit, positive emotion, and teamwork in clinical practice satisfaction. Teamwork had a positive correlation with grit and positive emotions, and positive emotions had a positive correlation with grit. Factors affecting clinical practice satisfaction were teamwork and positive emotions, and explanatory power was 43.6%. Therefore, it is necessary to develop educational programs and find ways to improve teamwork and positive emotions as a strategy to improve the satisfaction of nursing college students in clinical practice.

  • Now, the Korean consumer market enters into the stage of the advanced country type's mature consumption, totally different from the consumption of the past, and among these changes, the quality enhancement and bipolarity of the consumption show clearly the rising trends together with the popularization of the Masstige Brand due to the big expansion of the quantity. Unlike the old luxury brands, available only to the rich people in the past, the Masstige Brands are tagged with reasonable and affordable prices and provide the consumers with the good quality and convenient sensibilities as good as the old famous brands, which have become new high-class brands for the middle-income class. As the middle-come people get more income and are eager to live a better life, the Masstige Brands rise fast. Therefore, the study is aimed at examining the consumer-related factors affecting the purchase of the Masstige Brands on the basis of the fashion brands. In other words, the factors affecting the formation of the positive purchasing intentions of consumers will be verified by examining the influence of such factors, as the consumer value, brand charisma, attitude and loyalty, the variables affecting the purchasing intentions of the Masstige Brands, which are found out through the proceeding researches. As the result of the verification on the assumption, it is found out that the consumer value has a positive influence on the brand charisma. Also, it is found out that the consumer value has a positive influence on the brand attitude. And, it is discovered that the brand charisma has a positive influence on the brand loyalty. It is shown that the brand attitude has a positive influence on the brand loyalty. Lastly, it is indicated that the brand loyalty has a positive influence on the purchasing intention of consumers.

An Analysis on Effect of Socio-Economic Factors on the Subjective Life Satisfaction of Women (경제⋅사회적 요인이 여성의 생활만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aims to analyze affecting factors on life satisfaction level of the women and partial effects using Ordered Logit Model. For this purpose, socio-economic factors are selected as major independent factors. And the data used was from the third 'Korea Welfare Panel Study'. Analysis shows that social life factors such as the satisfaction of leisure activities, social relationships, family member communication, and positive attitude to life had positive effects with the life satisfaction level of the women. However, economic factors such as home ownership, disposable income had a lower positive impact compared to social life factors. While, satisfaction level of women is negatively related with family member discordance, and classified low-income families. On the basis of these results, government should pay more attention to improve facilities and software that could meet women's needs of social life satisfaction.
