  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the image of nurses portrayed in the internet photographs. Methods: A total of 184 photographs were extracted through the Google portal site using a search term, 'nurse'. Based on the findings of previous studies, a content analysis was conducted with three categories: appearance characteristics, photographic scene, and photographic source. Results: The result revealed that in the photos of appearance characteristics, 237 (98.3%) out of 241 nurses had a normal or less frame, 235 (97.5%) were well-groomed, and 103 (42.7%) wore pants. In addition, 51 (21.2%) wore a cap (21.2%) and 12.0% were male. In the photographic scene, 69 (37.5%) portrayed nursing activities and 36 (19.6%) suggestiveness. In the suggestive photos, all of nurses were female (${\chi}^2=7.63$, p=.021) and they were more likely to have small frames (${\chi}^2=48.40$, p<.001) and wear caps (${\chi}^2=113.54$, p<.001) and skirts (${\chi}^2=39.96$, p<.001). Conclusion: This study showed that the photographs of the nurses wearing a cap and expressing the nurse as a sexual object still appeared. There is a need for a systematic image enhancement strategy so that actual images of nurses can be projected on the internet photographs.

  • Recently, the rate of death and safety accidents at construction sites is the highest among all kinds of industries. In order to apply artificial intelligence technology to construction sites, it is essential to secure a dataset which can be used as a basic training data. In this paper, a number of image data were collected through actual construction site, for which major construction equipment objects mainly operated in civil engineering sites were defined. The optimal training dataset construction was completed by annotation process of about 90,000 image dataset. Reliability of the dataset was verified with the mAP of over 90 % in use of YOLO, a representative model in the field of object detection. The construction equipment training dataset built in this study has been released which is currently available on the public data portal of the Ministry of Public Administration and Security. This dataset is expected to be freely used for any application of object detection technology on construction sites especially in the field of construction safety in the future.

  • The proper position of a multi-leaf collimator (MLC) is essential for the quality of intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and volumetric modulated arc radiotherapy (VMAT) dose delivery. Task Group (TG) 142 provides a quality assurance (QA) procedure for MLC position. Our study investigated the QA validation of the mechanical leaf gap measurement and the maintenance procedure. Two $VitalBeam^{TM}$ systems were evaluated to validate the acceptance of an MLC position. The dosimetric leaf gaps (DLGs) were measured for 6 MV, 6 MVFFF, 10 MV, and 15 MV photon beams. A solid water phantom was irradiated using $10{\times}10cm^2$ field size at source-to-surface distance (SSD) of 90 cm and depth of 10 cm. The portal dose image prediction (PDIP) calculation was implemented on a treatment planning system (TPS) called $Eclipse^{TM}$. A total of 20 VMAT plans were used to confirm the accuracy of dose distribution measured by an electronic portal imaging device (EPID) and those predicted by VMAT plans. The measured leaf gaps were 0.30 mm and 0.35 mm for VitalBeam 1 and 2, respectively. The DLG values decreased by an average of 6.9% and 5.9% after mechanical MLC adjustment. Although the passing rates increased slightly, by 1.5% (relative) and 1.2% (absolute) in arc 1, the average passing rates were still within the good dose delivery level (>95%). Our study shows the existence of a mechanical leaf gap error caused by a degenerated MLC motor. This can be recovered by reinitialization of MLC position on the machine control panel. Consequently, the QA procedure should be performed regularly to protect the MLC system.

  • Purpose: To investigate the effects of dose rate on intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) quality assurance (QA). Methods: We performed gamma tests using portal dose image prediction and log files of a multileaf collimator. Thirty treatment plans were randomly selected for the IMRT QA plan, and three verification plans for each treatment plan were generated with different dose rates (200, 400, and 600 monitor units [MU]/min). These verification plans were delivered to an electronic portal imager attached to a Varian medical linear accelerator, which recorded and compared with the planned dose. Root-mean-square (RMS) error values of the log files were also compared. Results: With an increase in dose rate, the 2%/2-mm gamma passing rate decreased from 90.9% to 85.5%, indicating that a higher dose rate was associated with lower radiation delivery accuracy. Accordingly, the average RMS error value increased from 0.0170 to 0.0381 cm as dose rate increased. In contrast, the radiation delivery time reduced from 3.83 to 1.49 minutes as the dose rate increased from 200 to 600 MU/min. Conclusions: Our results indicated that radiation delivery accuracy was lower at higher dose rates; however, the accuracy was still clinically acceptable at dose rates of up to 600 MU/min.

  • Image findings of hepatic lymphoma have been reported as variable, ranging from single or multiple small nodules to diffuse infiltrative patterns. On MRI, most hepatic lymphomas show T1 low signal intensity, T2 high signal intensity. Dynamic imaging reveals a hypointense appearance in the arterial phase, followed by delayed enhancement in the portal venous and transitional phase. In the hepatobiliary phase using a hepatocyte-specific contrast agent (which have recently aided in increasing the access to the focal liver lesions), hepatic lymphoma is known to exhibit low signal intensity. We report a case of hepatic lymphoma, which shows iso-signal intensity on hepatobiliary phase, using gadoxetic acid (Gd-EOB-DTPA).

  • In this paper, the therapy radiation dose measurement system has been implemented by using a microcomputer after radiation was irradiated on diodes from the MM22 microtron accelerator. We have displayed 7-channel diode output values on the LCD after processing those in the 80196 MCU(Micro Computer Unit). Signal processing has been performed in the pulse mode because we can process the signal fast and use it to perform portal image by increasing a number of diode channels in the future. In order to verify the microcomputer based radiation measurement system of diodes, diode output values were compared with that of semiconductor.

SUMMIT(Sejong University MultiMedia Information Technology)은 등록된 각 사용자에게 개별 공간을 할당하여 사용자가 스스로 원하는 이미지를 업로드하거나 다운로드하게 한다.

  • If a company's actions to save or avoid taxes are judged to be tax evasion rather than legal tax action by the tax authorities, the company will not only pay tax but also non-tax costs such as damage to corporate image and stock price decline due to a series of tax evasion-related news articles. Therefore, this study measures the frequency of occurrence of tax evasion controversial keywords in internet news portal as a factor to measure the severity of the case, and analyzes the effect of the frequency of occurrence on corporate value. In the Korean stock market, we crawl related articles from internet news portal by using keywords that are controversial for tax evasion targeting top companies based on market capitalization, and generate a time series of the frequency of occurrence of keywords about tax evasion by company and analyze the effect of frequency of appearance on book value versus market capitalization. Through panel regression and impulse response analysis, it is analyzed that the frequency of appearance has a negative effect on the market capitalization and the effect gradually decreases until 12 months. This study examines whether the tax evasion issue affects the corporate value of Korean companies and suggests that it is necessary to take these influences into account when entrepreneurs set up tax-planning schemes.

  • Modern fashion shows the trend of various styles and the period focusing on only product functions is changed to the period focusing on consumer's sensibility. Consumers show different sensitivities and preference by individual at the stage cognizing and recognizing the stimulation of given image and the method of objective measurement based on the fashion sensible vocabularies is necessary to measure fashion sensibility. Therefore, this research is significant to examine differences of preference to classic fashion by generation and awareness for sensible vocabularies and suggest methodology of design sensible evaluation research through the quantitative evaluation objectifying subjective sensibility. For the method of research, precedent theses related to classic, concept and characteristics of classic in books and definition and characteristics by generation were examined, the best 3 domestic portal sites were selected and adjective vocabularies and images related to classic were collected from 2010 to 2014. Among the 206 adjectives collected, vocabularies whose average is more than 3.5 were drawn by 5-point Likert scale for fashion expert group. And, among the total 306 images collected, 21 representative images were selected by preliminary investigation of fashion expert group. For the classic images and vocabularies selected, frequency analysis, factor analysis and variance analysis were conducted by SPSS 19.0. The results of analysis are as follows. Preference to classic fashion image by generation was analyzed. As a result, both of two generations selected classic fashion as the most classic one. The images of the next orders were analyzed. As a result, Y generation selected basic classic fashion image which is casual with high activity as a classic one. Baby boom generation selected ancient classic fashion image, so there were differences in preference for classic by generation. As a factor analysis on classic adjective vocabularies, they could be divided into 5 factors such as basic form, attractive form, traditional form, vintage form and active form and they verified that credibility of all measuring variables for classic sensible vocabularies was achieved. Differences of classic sensible vocabularies by classic fashion image and generation were examined. As a result, generation and classic fashion image made a significant effect on five factors. Therefore, there were differences of the awareness on classic fashion images and sensible vocabularies among the generations and this thesis can be a fundamental material which objectifies subjective sensibility and suggests the methodology of new research.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate science consumers' perceptions of the National Science Museum and suggest effective management strategies for the museum. Research questions were established and the analyses were conducted to achieve the research goals. The collection and analysis of the data were conducted through a new approach to image analysis that combines qualitative and quantitative methods. First, the image of the concept of science was derived from science consumers (adults, undergraduate and graduate students) through a qualitative research method (group-interviewing), and then text analysis was conducted. Second, quantitative research was conducted through LDA (Latent Dirichlet Allocation)-based topical modeling of 63,987 words extracted from 12,920 titles of blog postings from one of the most heavily-trafficked portal sites in Korea. The results of this study indicate that the perception of science differs according to the characteristics of the respondents. Further, topic-modeling extracted 20 topics from the blog posting titles and the topics were condensed into seven factors. Detailed discussions and managerial implications are provided in the conclusion section.
