  • Hamburg is going with the HafenCity Project to create new urban space for city's bustling central district. HafenCity will add an additional 155 hectares to Hamburg's central urban area, increasing its total area by some 40 percent. The new developments in HafenCity will be oriented towards the River Elbe and the great seaport. Its centre will have a close relation to water. They will be used for the construction of a fascinating mix of residential accommodation, offices, cultural and leisure amenities, retail facilities and restaurants set in a framework of an elaborate urban layout. This study is focusing on the purpose of the project goals, the task of the Hamburg authorities and GHS (Gesells chaft f$\ddot{u}$r Hafen und Standortentwicklung) and an urban planning ideas competition (draft masterplan). Regarding of the new trend of the reurbanisation in Europe, the aim of this study will be to find out, in which way Hafencity is trying to develope the new city district as a model for the European inner city of the 21st century.

  • e-navigation is a Strategy developed by the IMO. It aims to implement the strategy in 2018. To this end, e-navigation Software Quality Assurance and Human-Centred Design Guidelines has been developing for the implementation and development of e-Navigation. The IMO MSC approved this guideline as a MSC circular in June 2015. In this paper, international standards of software quality assurance and human-centred design has been surveyed and analyzed in terms of usability testing for the practical application of this guideline. The result is planning to be reflected in the practical application guidance for the development of e-navigation equipment hardware-software combination.

Research of Cognition Degree and Non-market Value for Yeosu World Exposition Expost Facto Service (여수세계박람회장 사후시설 인식도 조사 및 비시장가치 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to look through the progress of Yeosu Exposition ex-post facto service, to survey the cognition degree of the general public for it, and to estimate the nonmarket value. For such a reason, this paper examines the planning direction and enforcement situation of ex-post facto service first and then conducts a cognition degree survey of the 900 general public in the nation. Also, this paper carries out the nonmarket value of Yeosu EXPO ex-post facto service using CVM. Estimation results is that the annual value of it is 50.8 billion won and the total value for 5 years is 217.1 billion won. These results mean that there is nonmarket high value besides general market value for Yeosu EXPO ex-post facto service, and government should consider this to determine the future of it.

  • In the near future, the marine resort development will increase because people's requirements of marine leisure are raising. Instead of marine resort development by reclamation which causes environmental disruption, it is expected that marine resort development using floating structures increases. And the requirement of floating hotel that is main facilities of marine resort grows too. It is necessary to investigate the load estimation of floating hotel. The floating hotel has two characteristics, both hotel and ship. Accordingly, this study examines the consideration points for planning the load estimation of floating hotel, and the results of load estimation of ship and hote are investigated.

A Study on Architectural Type and Design Characteristics of Floating Architecture (플로팅건축의 유형 및 디자인 특성에 관한 연구)

  • Floating architecture is the most effective way to accommodate itself to sea-level rise due to climate change. At the same time floating architecture is the best model to offer the new spatial experience through water-friendly environment. Domestic floating architecture is still on the early stage compared to Europe which has several companies specialized in designing and building floating architecture. Floating architecture is divided into 8 types according to its criteria such as program, form, scale, level, location, access, mobility and energy. The following are design characteristics of floating architecture : (1) composed of 2 stories, (2) having large deck, (3) designing rectangular plan and balanced mass, (4) maximizing view, (5) having water-friendly space, (6) multi-using space and minimizing surface, (7) planning section to control light reflecting from the water, (8) modular and unit system.

  • Fishing, aquaculture, coastal tourism and port activities in southern coastal seas are important to the Korean economy Conventional strategies or quick-fixes may not be the best means of addressing coastal issues. Coastal issues in Korean coastal sea include harmful algal blooms (HAB), oxygen depletion, and sea grass disappearance. Regional coastal management plans have been developed during 2001~present after inauguration of Coastal Management Law in 1999. Activities such as eco-pioneer cities, pollution reduction, constitutional rearrangement, environmental regulation, monitoring indicators, and budgeting would be included in regional coastal management Planning. The successful implementation of integrated coastal management is largely dependent on the engagement of government and non-government organizations to increase the chorus of concern. The need to involve coastal area residents in restoring activities was addressed with the creation of NGOs' Association for Masan Bay Restoration (NAMR). Several restoration efforts by NAMR are currently underway in Masan Bay coastal zone with scientific and local knowledge. A new level of dialogue was achieved suggesting a sustainable picture of Masan Bay coastal area regarding to a new port construction.

  • It's about time we had to think an alternative to recover out insufficient fishery market caused by IMF locally as well as the fishery agreement on Japan and China. The Ministry of Maritime Affairs & Fisheries have planning the advancing fishery information integrated system for the fishing present condition, marine resource administration and applicability consideration. The fishery information communication system is build up to the raw data & process-network-content. The communication system must be small size, low cost and adapted SSB transceiver, that is using fishery shipping. In this paper We present digital data communication network to exchange information for fishery and safety between fishing ship and coast station in cheeper communication fee using SSB(single Side Band) in HF(High Frequency) band.

Study on change of Climate Environment at Waterfront in Busan - About Haeundae and Gwanganli - (부산해안지역 워터프런트의 기후환경변화 연구 - 해운대, 광안리를 대상으로 -)

  • Recently, the number of design for open-spaces at waterfront, such as open-air restaurant and cafeteria, has been increasing to provide openness and natural environment of waterfront. However, when planning open-air restaurant and cafeteria, it is essential to investigate the climate characteristic of waterfront, especially wind environment, since the waterfront has a special quality of climate like low-temperature and strong wind which differs from downtown or inland. In this study, wind environments of Haeundae, Suyoungman, and Gwanganli, the famous waterfronts in Busan, were investigated for design of open-air restaurants and open cafeterias. The main results were as follows. 1) the waterfront area of Haeundae, Suyoungman, and Gwanganli is suitable for open-air restaurant and open cafeterias; and 2) the appropriate period for open space in this area is from the end of March to November.

  • This study investigated & analyzed the scheme for Ship Management for the Activation of world-wide Oil business. Shipping safety & marine pollution accidents occurred a huge property loss not only a shipping companies but also a oil companies, and marine accident may affect to a shipping company to go out of existence. On that score, oil companies have executed the evaluation by periods on each shipping companies and ships, and SIRE is inter-sharing by internet homepage on OCIMF & CDI, and its most important data when oil cargo transport. Therefore this study is provided a practical method to PIC of tanker shipping business & Designated Person, and it will be a basic of Ship Management for the activation of the Oil business.

  • Generally, the container road transportal ion am be divided into three types; short distance, long distance and shuttle transportation. Also container vehicle am be divided into three types according to the chassis types of vehicle; only 20-feet container, only 40-feet container, combined chassis trailer. This paper deals with Vehicle Routing Problem(VRP) for delivering containers considering shuttle transportation. The shuttle service occurs several amounts of container which is same as O/D pairs. This problem is similar to the previously studied VRP for delivering containers using combined chassis trailers, but the characteristics of shuttle service must be considered additionally. We formulate the container shuttle transportation planning problem using combined chassis trailers based on VRP with pick-up and delivery which can visit each node more than one time, and propose an efficient solution procedure.
