Companies almost don't use an integrated control system using expensive network system in multimedia like TV and DID, despite IP-Broadcasting and communication equipment have expanded rapidly. The proposed integrated TCU(terminal control unit) is a control device that supports TV power On/Off check and remote control, power control reservation function, TV channel change, a variety of interface supports of input/output AC power & Lan port, RS-232C and IR using existing IP network after there is installed the Wake-on -Lan in the set-top box. The TCU can control and monitor 24 hours unlike existing low-cost control system RF method. In existing control equipment markets without expandability and low price, the TCU development including 24 hours monitoring and automatic control functions is expected to secure a wide range of companies.

The global cultivation area of genetically modified crops (GM crops) has been increasing every year. Cultivation of GM crops is not only beneficial to the economy but also has positive effects on the environment in decreasing the use of agrochemicals, chemical fertilizers, and agricultural machinery. However, there have been controversies about the admixture of GM crops and non-GM crops and the unintentional release of GM crops to the environment. Especially in Korea, where consumption of agricultural products is import-dependent, the economic importance of GM crops has been a significant issue. The Act on import and distribution of GM crops was established in 2001 to start the management of GM crops in Korea. Recently, the imported amount of GM crops to Korea has reached over 10 million tons and is increasing very rapidly; consequently, the potential environmental impact of GM crops is becoming a big issue in Korea. In Japan, the discovery of imported GM canola plants around ports in 2005 raised awareness of the unintentional release of GM crops. In Korea, GM maize plants were also found in port and feed factory surroundings from 2005 to 2007. It is now necessary to monitor imported GM crops by tracing distribution, transport process for practical environmental risk assessment. Possible gene transfer from GM crops to non-GM crops should also be investigated in the cultivation area and the surroundings as well.

This paper has proposed a new-type groundwater auto-monitoring system based on Multi-Sensor Device. The system adopted Multi-Sensor Device as host computer of data acquisition, used Windows Mobile which was prevalent operation system of Multi-Sensor Device. It adopted serial port CAN and RS485 as the communication interface between goundwater sensor Device and monitor host machine and utilized serial-linked multi-sensor design to measure effectively according to the depth of groundwater. We present a design for a groundwater monitoring system based on a network of wirelessly linked sensors. The proposed solution will enable groundwater researchers and decision makers to have quick access to the groundwater data with less effort and cost. Though our design is initially meant for groundwater monitoring, it can be easily adapted to other fields of environmental monitoring.

SMB (simulated moving bed) is a continuous chromatographic process by shifting periodically port position. Binary of mixture, Blue dextran and Orange G, was separated by SMB. These components have unique color individually, that is, Blue dextran is blue and Orange G is orange. It is easy to understand SMB process by observing the shift of color changes in SMB. These components was not adsorbed to stationary phase and isolated by difference of size exclusion factor. Mass transfer coefficient was determined by single pulse test under several flow rate conditions. Operation condition was obtained by standing wave theory and optimized for high purities in extract and raffinate streams. Experiment was performed in open loop 4 zone (2-2-2-2) SMB. There are several advantages in open loop SMB, where extract is product for high purity. It is also easy to control flow rate and monitor experimental state during operation. Experimental, extract and raffinate history is well fitted with simulation results, however, column concentration profile is a little different from simulation results. Purities were 99.5% for extract and 98.9% for raffinate and extract and raffinate yields were obtained as 98.9% and 99.4% respectively.

Due to growth of electronics and control devices, automation and situational awareness systems have been applied by automobile. Vision systems with the introduction of unmanned system being actively developed, but are still high price and visual information is passed through the cable, because of cars are difficult to install. In this paper, can be installed inside the car at low-cost, simple image processing device through a wireless communication know the obstacles and the alarm system based on Zigbee wireless communication, infrared and ultrasonic sensors to monitor the situation through with easy parking cars outside the system design was implemented.
Uninterrupted monitoring of multiple subjects is required for mass causality events, in hospital environment or for sports by medical technicians or physicians. Movement of subjects under monitoring requires such system to be wireless, sometimes demands multiple transmitters and a receiver as a base station and monitored parameter must not be corrupted by any noise before further diagnosis. A Bluetooth Piconet network is visualized, where each subject carries a Bluetooth transmitter module that acquires vital sign continuously and relays to Bluetooth enabled device where, further signal processing is done. In this paper, a wireless network is realized to capture ECG of two subjects performing different activities like cycling, jogging, staircase climbing at 100 Hz frequency using prototyped Bluetooth module. The paper demonstrates removal of baseline drift using Fast Fourier Transform and Inverse Fast Fourier Transform and removal of high frequency noise using moving average and S-Golay algorithm. Experimental results highlight the efficacy of the proposed work to monitor any vital sign parameters of multiple subjects simultaneously. The importance of removing baseline drift before high frequency noise removal is shown using experimental results. It is possible to use Bluetooth Piconet frame work to capture ECG simultaneously for more than two subjects. For the applications where there will be larger body movement, baseline drift removal is a major concern and hence along with wireless transmission issues, baseline drift removal before high frequency noise removal is necessary for further feature extraction.
Background: As breast tissue expanders consist of metallic materials in the needle guard and ferromagnetic injection port, irradiation can produce radioactivation. Materials and Methods: A CPX4 (Mentor Worldwide LLD) breast tissue expander was exposed using the Versa HD (Elekta) linear accelerator. Two photon energies of 6 and 10 MV-flattening filter free (FFF) beams with 5,000 monitor units (MU) were irradiated to identify the types of radiation. Furthermore, 300 MU with 10 MV-FFF beam was exposed to the CPX4 breast tissue expander by varying the machine dose rates (MDRs) 600, 1,200, and 2,200 MU/min. To assess the instantaneous dose rates (IDRs) solely from the CPX4, a tissue expander was placed outside the treatment room after beam irradiation, and a portable radioisotope identification device was used to identify the types of radiation and measure IDR. Results and Discussion: After 5,000 MU delivery to the CPX4 breast tissue expander, the energy spectrum whose peak energy of 511 keV was found with 10 MV-FFF, while there was no resultant one with 6 MV-FFF. The time of each measurement was 1 minute, and the mean IDRs from the 10 MV-FFF were 0.407, 0.231, and 0.180 μSv/hr for the three successive measurements. Following 10 MV-FFF beam irradiation with 300 MU indicated around the background level from the first measurement regardless of MDRs. Conclusion: As each institute room entry time protocol varies according to the working hours and occupational doses, we suggest an addition of 1 minute from the institutes' own room entry time protocol in patients with CPX4 tissue expander and the case of radiotherapy vaults equipped with a maximum energy of 10 MV photon beams.
This paper introduces an emergency response system in urban air mobility scenarios. A biometric responsive smartwatch was designed to monitor passengers' real-time heart rates. When an anomaly was detected, the system would send an alert via Morse code vibration and voice notification. It was integrated with the assumed control system of the ROS environment and communicates to implement a system for generating the shortest path for emergency landing to a nearby vertical port during urban air mobility operations. System stability was verified through high-fidelity simulation environments and testing based on actual geographic locations. Our technology improved the reliability and convenience of urban air mobility, demonstrating its effectiveness through simulations and tests in real-world scenarios.

This study analyzed the 91 cases of the statements for the Sea Area Utilization Consultation according to the developmental projects of ports and fishery harbors for 2012 2014 and the status of the record of document, and suggested the improvement way to go. The marine environmental timpact assessment items both marine chemistry such as water quality, sediment and marine biology such as benthic animal, plankton, and fisheries show highly rate of site survey. But, the utilization of those data through site survey is too low, and it is necessary to adopt the QA/QC for the reliability of survey data. The items of marine physics such as tide, tidal current analyzed based on references not a site survey. However, the simulation performed actively without calibration and verification compared to the result of site survey. When the projects of port and fishery harbor perform, it is necessary to monitor the physical parameter such as wave, tide and tidal current especially. Based on the scale and the type of project, we need introduce the system of scoping for prediagnosis the key assessment items and checklists.
