  • 자동화 컨테이너터미널은 ATC(Automated Transfer Crane)와 AGV(Automated Guided Vehicle)와 같은 자동화 운송 장비를 사용하는 컨테이너터미널이다. 이러한 자동화 컨테이너터미널의 핵심은 생산성을 향상시키기 위한 효율적인 장비 운영이 결정적인 역할을 한다. 본 논문에서는 AGV의 이동 위치 결정을 위한 RTK-GPS(Real Time Kinematic-Global Positioning System) 위치 정보 전송 및 운용 방법에 대해서 연구하였다. 이를 위해서 기존의 무선모뎀을 이용한 RTK-GPS 전송 방법을 무선 LAN(Local Area Network) 환경에서 RTK-GPS 위치 정보 전송 방법에 대해서 제안하고, AGV 이동 위치 결정 및 계산을 실험하였다.

Container Identifier Recognition System for GATE automation (GATE 자동화를 위한 컨테이너 식별자 인식 시스템)

  • Todays the efficient management of container has not been realized in container terminal, because of the excessive quantity of container transported and manual system. For the efficient and automated management of container in terminal, the automated container identifier recognition system in terminal is a significant problem. However, the identifier recognition rate is decreased owing to the difficulty of image preprocessing caused the refraction of container surface, the change of weather and the damaged identifier characters. Therefore, this paper proposes more accurate system for container identifier recognition as suggestion of Line-Scan Proper Region Detect for stronger preprocessing against external noisy element and Moment Back-Propagation Neural Network to recognize identifier.

Treatment of ballast water by complex process of advance filtration system

  • There have been several problems in treating shipboard sewage due to special environmental conditions of ship, such as limited space, rolling and pitching, change of temperature and so on. It was suggested that Sequence Batch Reactor (SBR) might be suitable process for overcome these problems in terms of small size, high capacity of treating wastewater and full automation. In this study a SBR process was employed for biological treatment of organic wastes in the shipboard sewage. This process was able to remove nitrogen and phosphorus as well as organic matter efficiently. More than 95% of chemical oxygen demand(COD) were removed. In addition, about 97% of total nitrogen (T-N) was reduced. The total phosphorus(T-P) reduction averaged 93%. A disturbance operation caused by the treatment of Methylene Blue Active Substances(MBAS) was not observed.

  • In this paper, web based monitoring systems are implemented using embedded systems. A parallel port connecting parallel I/O is controlled via HTTP protocol and web browser program. HTTP protocol is ported into Linux. A micro web server program and port control program installed on-board memory using CGI to be accessed by web browser. Experimental results of proposed web based monitoring systems can be used in automation systems and remote distributed control systems via internet using web browser.

  • Yard cranes are very useful equipments for handing of heavy containers, But rope-driven yard cranes must have a little of sway and skew motion because ropes are passive mechanical device. Therefore rope-driven yard cranes require skilled drivers to depress sway and skew motions. So many researches have been concentrated on anti-sway and anti-skew algorithm controlling trolley speed or rope tension. Although many efforts, the rope-driven method is not proper to an automated yard equipment because of sway and skew motion. This paper will propose a new concept yard crane which has a new structure, overcomes defects of rope-driven cranes and is proper to automation. And we will study its actuality

  • Recently, the ship automation technology(SAT) has received great attention for the efficient management of the ship with minimum human efforts. Among the SAT, a distance measuring system, the key element is the signal processing unit for the interpretion of the received signal from the remote sensing of the oil tank. In this paper, the tank monitoring system using FM-CW is described for the oil tank level guage measurement with an emphsis of signal processing unit.
