  • Recently, as the problems according to the deteriorated structure were gathering sterength, there were required the advent of the high peformance for polymer ceme at compostie in building constrution devision. The polymer cement mortar was developed for improvements of the various problems in ordinary cement mortar. finishing method using the super flowing polymer-based self levelling mortar for concrete slab and floor.

  • Polymer cement mortar which is used as material for aging concrete structures is generally mixed manually and applied on the job site. but, to secure the required quality of the mortar, pre-mixed polymer cement mortar is favored. This study was initiated to four different pre-mixed polymer cement mortars which are produced in Korea. The for pre-mixed mortars were selected and tested with respect to physical and mechanical properties an proved that their qualities were better than those of common cement concrete mortars.

  • This study was performed to evaluate the internal and external factors affecting external strength of the 3-layer polymer composite pipes made of polymer mortar and fiber-glass reinforced plastic. Twenty four sandwich type 3-layer polymer composite pipes were made of polymer mortar and fiber-glass reinforced plastic by centrifugal method. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects the of polymer mortar thickness for and core fiber-glass contents per unit area on external strength of 3-layer polymer composite pipes. For the more economical and practical design of 3-layer polymer composite pipe, further study should be done for the various polymer mortar, fiber-glass and different ratio of the inside/outside FRP thickness.

  • Repair and strengthening is necessary to extend the service life of existing buildings. Polymer-modified cement mortar (PCM) has been extensively used as a high performance material particularly for finishing and repairing works in concrete building because of itsexcellent adhesion, waterproofing, resistance to chemical attack, and workability. As PCM contains organic polymer, it is necessary to clarify its properties at high temperature under fire, on which sufficient data are not available. This paper evaluated the burn-up characteristics of polymer-modified cement mortar with cone calorimeter test, non-combustibility test and flammability test with experimental parameters such as the types of polymer, unit-polymer content, polymer-cement ratio and thickness of the specimen.

St/BA를 혼입한 폴리머 시멘트 모르타르의 부착강도 및 인장강도 특성 (Bond Strength and Tensile Strength of Polymer-Modified Mortar Using Styrene and Butyl Acrylate)

  • 본 연구에서는 styrene(St)와 butyl acrylate(BA)를 단량체로 폴리머를 합성하여 폴리머 필름의 인장강도를 측정하고 폴리머 시멘트 모르타르로 제작하여 세공구조와 부착강도, 그리고 인장강도와의 상호 연관성을 파악하고자 하였다. 본 연구결과 St/BA 폴리머 필름의 인장강도는 St의 함유량이 높을수록 증가하는 것으로 나타났으며. 폴리머 시멘트 모르타르의 부착강도와 인장강도는 폴리머 필름의 인장강도가 클수록, 미세공극량이 많을수록 우수하게 나타나고 있다.

  • This study presents the results of experiments to investigate the effect of polymer type and curing temperature on the mechanical properties of polymer mortar. Setting time of two types of polymers, hardening-delayed polymer(HDP) and rapid hardening polymer(RHP), was tested to check the working time. Additionally, flexural strength, compressive strength, and splitting tensile strength was investigated for mortars using these polymers. From these results, it was confirmed that, irrespective to curing temperature, RHP mortar at the curing age of 24h develops the similar mechanical properties to maximum properties and HDP mortar is more sensitive to the curing temperature. In addition, it should be noted that RHP mortar and HDP mortar are suitable in winter and summer, respectively.

  • 재유화형 폴리머는 보수용 모르타르의 개질재료로 주로 사용되고 있으며, 이러한 보수용 폴리머 시멘트 모르타르에는 폴리머 이외에 각종 혼화재료가 첨가된다. 기존의 연구들은 시멘트-폴리머 비가 모르타르에 미치는 영향에 대하여 주로 이루어졌으며, 혼화재료가 폴리머 시멘트 모르타르에 미치는 영향은 보고 되어있지 않는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 혼화재료들(CSA계 팽창재, CSA계 속경재, 석고, 실리카 흄)의 배합비율에 따라 폴리머 시멘트 모르타르에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 모르타르의 작업성, 응결시간, 건조수축, 압축강도, 휨 및 부착강도 등의 기초적 성질에 대하여 실험적으로 구명하였다.

고로슬래그 및 플라이애쉬를 혼입한 폴리머 시멘트 모르타르의 인장접착강도 (Adhesion in Tension of Polymer-Modified Mortars with Blast-Furnace Slag and Fly ash)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the Adhesion in tension of cement mortar according to adding admixtures such as polymer dispersions, blast-furnace slag and fly ash. From the test results, the adhesion in tension is seriously affected by type of polymer compared with polymer-binder ratios and types of admixture. The maximum adhesion in tension of EVA- modified mortar is about 1.46 times, the cement mortar. It is apparent that the adhesion in tension of polymer-modified mortars according to adding two admixtures is much more improved irrespective of polymer-binder ratio.

폴리머가 보수용 모르타르에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Polymer in Repairing Mortar)

  • In general, the polymer is mainly used with the cement mortar with various admixtures for concrete repair. The properties of cement-polymer mortar was studied by the cement-polymer ratio only and ignored any influence of admixtures in the mortar. Therefore in this study, the test is carried out with 2 product of polymers(the same type produced by different companies) and various admixtures. It is found that the same type of polymers produced by different companies affect the properties of fresh and hardened concrete. As increasing the polymer proportion in mortar, the compressive strength and flexural strength are increased, and also drying shrinkages is increased.
