This study worked on the synthesis of waterborne polyurethane/epoxy hybrid resins containing aminosilane compound to replace conventional phenol resins used for a coating material for loudspeaker dampers, which are not harmful to human being. Waterborne polyurethane resins were synthesized from two diisocyanate of 4,4'-diphenylethane diisocyanate and toluene diisocyanate, two polyols of polyester polyols(PEP), polycarbonatediol(PCD), including and anionic center of dimethylol butanoic acid, a chain extenders of ethylenediamine(EDA), and a neutral agent of triethylamine. Synthesized polyurethane resins and commercially available bisphenol A type waterborne epoxy resin were blended in weight ratios of 80:20 to prepare polyurethane/epoxy hybrid resins. The synthesized waterborne polyurethane/epoxy hybrid resins were reacted with aminosilane compound to improve mechanical properties. Aminosilane-treated polyurethane /epoxy hybrid resins showed better mechanical properties.
Low frequency heavy-weight impact noise is the most irritating noise in Korean high-rise reinforced concrete apartment buildings. This low frequency noise is generated by foot traffic due to the fact that Koreans do not wear shoes at home. The transmission of the noise is facilitated by a load bearing wall structural system without beams and columns which is used in these buildings. In order to control low frequency heavy-weight impact noise, floating floors using isolation materials such as glass-wool mat and poly-urethane mat are used. However, it was difficult to control low frequency heavy-weight impact sound using isolation material. In this study, reinforcement of concrete slab using beams and plate was conducted. Using the FEM analysis, the effect of concrete slab reinforcement using FRP(fiber-glass reinforced plastic) on the bang machine impact vibration acceleration level and sound were conducted at the standard floor impact sound test building. The $3{\sim}4dB$ floor impact vibration acceleration level and impact sound pressure level were reduced and the natural frequency of slabs were changed.
We present simple methods for fabricating high aspect-ratio polymer nanostructures on a solid substrate by rigiflex lithography with tailored capillarity and adhesive force. In the first method, a thin, thermoplastic polymer film was prepared by spin coating on a substrate and the temperature was raised above the polymer's glass transition temperature ($T_g$) while in conformal contact with a poly(urethane acrylate) (PUA) mold having nano-cavities. Consequently, capillarity forces the polymer film to rise into the void space of the mold, resulting in nanostructures with an aspect ratio of ${\sim}4$. In the second method, very high aspect-ratio (>20) nanohairs were fabricated by elongating the pre-formed nanostructures upon removal of the mold with the aid of tailored capillarity and adhesive force at the mold/polymer interface. Finally, these two methods were further used to fabricate micro/nano hierarchical structures by sequential application of the molding process for mimicking nature's functional surfaces such as a lotus leaf and gecko foot hairs.
The massive structures are not free to move with vibration, differential settlement, thermal stresses because, construction and expansion joint, crack etc., can be large enough to cause leakage as deformation of waterproofing. It has been depended on the test method of tensile/tear strength which is waterproofing performance as behavior of concrete structure crack. However, not to practically confirm the creep applied to concrete surface, even waterproofing membrane have more performance than definite strength and elasticity. Therefore, in this study will focus on the test method to consider a resistance performance about loose adhesion and deformation of waterproofing and behavior of concrete structure as construction/expansion joint, crack. Performance test method on the influence as behavior of concrete structure crack is to choose waterproofing materials and construction method which possible to confront with behavior of 50mm crack in the atmosphere and low temperature. Examine the deformation of waterproofing membrane and loose adhesion which can occur to structure in general job site, suggest standard testing method to analyze correlation waterproofing membrane and structure with 5-types of materials used in this study, such as Adhesion membrane and sheet complex, sheet and urethane complex, self-adhesive sheet, spray poly-urea, spray membrane of rubberized Asphalt.
As Plasma Immersion ion Implantation (PIII) using a conducting grid is very useful to reduce the effect of capacitance and charging in surface modification. If the bias voltage applied to the conducting grid is in the range of hundreds of volts, the effects of surface charge and space charge substantially affect the incident ion energy and ion current to the surface. In this paper, through an 1d and a 2d PIC simulation the time varying formation of the space charge and surface charge is analyzed. Experiment with the optimally designed grid on the basis of the simulation results is conducted, and the results of both cases with grid and without grid are compared. In our work with Poly Urethane(PU), the improvement of adhesion is yielded by increasing surface roughness and decreasing Si component of PU.
The purpose of this study is to analyze an insulation property and to establish a design standard for the underground space in architecture. Insulation materials for this study are 12 kinds of Insulation which qualified KS standards(3 classes of EPS type 1, 3 classes of EPS type 2(Neopor), 3 classes of XPS and 3 classes of PU Boards). For insulation materials of underground space, insulating and water tightening property are desired. So conductivity for insulating and water absorption for water tightening are measured in this study. Temperature, insulation is exposed to in the underground space, is different from temperature above the ground. Conductivity is measured in a temperature of $17^{\circ}C$, $20^{\circ}C$, $23^{\circ}C$ and $26^{\circ}C$. In KS standards, water absorption are measure after 24 hours, but insulation is exposed to water for a long time in the underground. So after 110 days, water absorption are measured. As time goes by, increasing of water absorption means decreasing of water tightening and insulating. So after water absorption had measured for 110 days, conductivity has measured again. As a result, XPS is selected as optimized insulation for underground. And Conductivity of XPS insulation with water should be added by 20%.
