Parents' interest and care are very important for their children in the process of growing up, but parenting is also very unfamiliar and difficult for themselves. Parents constantly need information related to parenting, and in order to solve this problem, they try to obtain information through informal meetings or social relationships among parents at an individual level, which often brings up conflicts and stresses. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to explore the characteristics of social networks among parents and to understand the influence of the network characteristics on information-sharing intention and information-sharing satisfaction. To this end, a survey questionnaire was developed based on previous studies and was administered among parents whose children are in a daycare center. Then, the data was analyzed using social network analysis (SNA) method. Findings indicate that the correlation among the social networks, the information -sharing intention, and the information-sharing satisfaction was significant, but the influence of the social networks on the information-sharing intention, and the information-sharing satisfaction was not established. It was also found that the intention to receive help was higher than the desire to help others. Policy suggestions to meet parents' information needs and the need to reconsider the role of local public libraries were presented.

This study is in the purpose for the revitalization of traditional market as comparing to the relevancy between the central characteristics of a floating population going around for buying something or eating food and lots of small-sized businesses comprising of the commercial districts. The several traditional markets such as Cheonan station, Dujeong-dong, Sinbu-dong in Cheon-An city has been investigated repeatedly almost every two or three years by the Small Enterprise development Agency(SEDA) since 2001. By analyzing the raw data of those commercial districts made by SEDA, we can calculate the number of firms andthe ratio of business type of each commercial districts. In this research, the type of each business is classified into four groups such as restaurant, service, retail and the rest. Moreover, the central character of the floating population is derived from the raw data, which means the customer information about sex, age structure or the most populous time zones. From these characteristics, one commercial districts has his own specific features distinguishing from the others. The most important differences of past researches are firstly the dynamic viewpoint rather than a static one. Secondly it suggests that the relation between the central characteristics of districts and the floating population would exist. Lastly, it suggests that the interaction between both of them have a significant effect on the growth or decline of the districts and the rates of business type, other adjacent commercial districts as well. Eventually, this study provides several meaningful points for the revitalization of commercial districts to government or stakeholder such as management organization, business owners and new starter etc.

In recognition of the increasing social attention paid to the notion of how to die well, this study explored what it is that middle-aged and older Koreans think of as "dying well." Specifically, it was aimed at classifying the perceptions people middle-aged and older have regarding dying well. To this end, we used data from the National Survey on Well-Dying, which was conducted in 2018 by the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs, and employed Latent Class Analysis. The demographic characteristics of each of the classified subgroups were identified through technical statistics. The types identified were multilayered depending on the imminence of death, perspectives of the last stages before dying, and the meaning of death in the context of social relationships. These types differed according to gender and subjective health conditions. Based on our findings in this study, we put forward policy suggestions about awareness improvement of personal and social levels, promoting on comprehensive death preparation, providing a system to reduce the cost of medical and nursing expense at the end of one's life, promoting of the right to self-determination regarding death, raising social attention to groups that are least prepared for dying well.
This research attempts to analyze the effects of demographic factors, socioeconomic factors, health behaviors and social/familial supports on health inequalities among Korean elderly. For this end, this study adopts the multiple linear regression analysis to process data on population aged over 65 contained in 'The Third Korea Welfare Panel Study' published in 2008. The following are the results. First, the less educated they are, the smaller income they earn, the less they drink, the less satisfied with relationships with their family members, the more they turn out to feel depressed. Second, the less educated they are, the smaller income they earn, the less they drink, the less they are satisfied with relationship with family members, the more they benefit from social welfare services, the worse they turn out to rate their health. Based on these findings, three following suggestions could be forwarded. First, vulnerable aged groups including female elderly, low-income elderly, less-educated elderly need customized social supports. Second, new social policy for households is required to enhance elderly people's satisfaction with their family relationships with the rapid trend of a growing number of nuclear families and aging. Third, social welfare service programs need to be reevaluated to enhance their function for the aged.

For data analysis, frequency analysis, descriptive statistical analysis, correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis were conducted. As a result of the analysis, it was found that leadership life skills and motivation for participation, relationships with colleagues as interpersonal variables, and recognition compensation as institutional variables had a positive effect on the continuity of volunteer activities.
