Police education has shown a pronounced improvement during three eras in American police history. as the Reform Era arrived, the police academy was invented. With it, citizen expectations for the police expanded, and the level of competence exhibited by police grew. After the 1960s came the invention of the FTO and the creation of ongoing, in-service training requirements. in recent years, academics in many places-but by no means everywhere-are taking a more collegial approach to training, aimed especially at COP- style policing and the achievement of genuine professionalism. The Korean police training system is less efficient in education methodology, more inappropriate in the switch system of school education and practice, and poorer in educational environment, among others. Based on my findings, this paper recommends several improvement tips. First, legal stipulations on police training should be integrated and detailed. Second, active participation by preliminary police officers should be emphasized in the class of police training. Third, contents and hours for practice should be emphasized to maximize effects of the "switch system." Fourth, the educational environment of the Academy should be improved.
The current study assessed the problems of police training center and explored the expansion plan of the center in order to improve the welfare condition of police in South Korea. The results indicated that: 1) deterioration of the facilities; 2) shortage of the facilities compared with the others such as the facilities of military and firefighter; 3) shortage of operation budget. It was suggested to cope with these problems that: 1) employing a government outsourcing of the facilities; 2) disambiguation of the definition of police training center; 3) security of budget for the effective operation of the facilities. The policy implications to enhance the police welfare in South Korea and the limitations were discussed at the last part of the research.
In Korea, all investigations of maritime crime such as murder, robbery, drug trafficking, and illegal fishing that have been committed at sea are under the jurisdiction of maritime police. As maritime crimes tend to have more unique cases, cause damage on a larger scale, and be limited to evidence that is possibly contaminated, compared to non-maritime crimes, the cases demand maritime police investigators with a higher level of expertise. However, there is currently a lack of competent investigators in the maritime police, leading to the training of maritime police investigators in training agencies. so many of maritime investigators goes to land police training agency including Korean Police Investigation Academy. Therefore, in order to improve the capabilities of maritime crime investigation we must first gather information and data in relation to maritime crimes to foster more investigation specialists, and establish specialized training agencies offering a training course more focused on maritime crimes.
In the rapidly changing current society, the Korean National Police(KNP) is facing a lot of demands from the citizens like the protection of subject/victim rights, independence of investigation authority, disclosure of actual truth, and prevention & eradication of crimes. It is widely recognized among the Korean people and the police that the KNP is always standing for the rights of the people and it is high time that the KNP should be restored as the pioneer for the protection of human right. In this situation, the tremendous emphasis is given on the importance of investment in investigative training through the long-term master-plan in order to renovate its constitution, to level up its quality, and to cope with the highly sophisticated crime patterns. Korean police have already shown its outstanding investigative skills of identification of the deceased throughout large cases like Daegu subway arson and tsunami in Southeast Asia. In addition, the skills of cyber crime investigation are highly recognized by foreign law enforcement agencies. However, the investigative skills and abilities are being degraded and the morale of the investigative personnel are falling due to the insufficiently of the finite training budget. Lack of financial support results in the lack of training program and poor training environment, which subsequently leads to the inefficiency of training. Additionally, no long-term budget for fostering specialized investigative agents is allotted. Considering the fact that more than 95% of crimes in Korea are being primarily investigated by the Korean police, we have to understand the importance of the police. By the tremendous investment in investigative training which can lead to the high-quality investigations, the Korean police can ultimately contribute to the protection of safety and life of its people.
This study surveyed 171 police officers working in Jeollabuk-do to investigate their first aid knowledge and the need for education. The results showed that the correct answer rate for first aid knowledge among police officers was 75.61 points out of a possible 100 points. Additionally, 98.8% of respondents indicated a need for first aid training, expressing a preference for 2-hour sessions integrated with their work education. There was a statistically significant difference in the correct answer rate for first aid knowledge based on education level and experience in emergency situations, but no significant difference in the need for education was observed across respondents. The significance of this research lies in its provision of foundational data for first aid education among police officers, which can be instrumental in developing training programs and policies aimed at enhancing their first aid capabilities. Specifically, the study contributes to improving the effectiveness of police officers' responses in emergency situations by offering concrete suggestions on the content, method, and duration of first aid training. These findings underscore the necessity and importance of providing comprehensive and effective first aid training not only to police officers but to all first responders, emphasizing that such training is crucial for ensuring public safety.

In the chivalry master course, 71% of the course composes of basic policeman and on-site arrest techniques and pliceman chilvary such as Taekwondo, and judo. The cadets must select one item among the policeman chivalry and take Taekwondo training for 150 hours during 52 weeks acquire the first grade to be appointed as lieutenant simultaneously with the graduation. 3. The Taekwondo training for newly appointed policemen of National Central Police Academy is 104 hours of arresting criminals and self-protection. 4. In the Taekwondo training in the police stations, when a master completes more than two times of training per month, he receives the first grade by examination and be promoted by one grade each. 5. The policemen with Taekwondo black belt are more than 2.6 times of judo, 4.6 times of fencing, 5.9 times of hapgido.
Objective: Training-related injuries and attrition put an additional burden on police and military institutions. Preventing and minimizing musculoskeletal injuries is the primary concern of the Abu Dhabi Police. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the correlation between functional movement screen, lower-limb strength, Y-balance test, grip strength and vertical jump and the incidence of musculoskeletal injuries among Abu Dhabi police recruits. Design: Observational analytical study. Methods: An observational study was conducted on 400 male police recruits of Abu Dhabi Police Academy. Physical performance was assessed before the 16-weeks basic police training. Spearman's correlation evaluated the correlation between the performance parameters and the outcome measures and logistic regression predicted the risk factors associated with musculoskeletal injuries. Results: 149 (34.4%) participants reported at least one injury during the basic police training. Comparison between injured and non-injured participants showed significant difference in mean right Y-balance, back-leg-chest dynamometer, and vertical jump (p=0.02, p=0.02, and p=0.04, respectively). Spearman's correlation showed a significant negative correlation between risk of injury and back-leg-chest dynamometer and right Y balance (ρ= -0.11, p=0.03). Logistic regression showed that back-leg-chest dynamometer and right Y balance were significant predictors of injury (p =.036 and p=0.037; Odds ratio=0.96; 95% CI (0.92, 0.99) and Odds ratio=0.99; 95% CI (0.98,0.99). Conclusions: Our findings suggest functional movement screen and grip strength may not independently predict injury rates, balance and lower-limb strength needs to be considered in injury prevention strategies to reduce musculoskeletal injuries.

In this paper, we propose the relationship between self-determination, home training satisfaction, and reuse of police-related students who participate in home training and train their physical strength. The subjects of this study were students enrolled in the Department of Police Administration and Police Martial Arts at D, S, and K universities in Busan and Gyeongnam area. Among them, 349 students who had participated in home training were surveyed. As a result of verifying the relationship between self-determination, exercise satisfaction, and reuse factors using the collected data, SPSSWIN VER 25+, AMOS 20.0 program, First, autonomy, competence, and relationship, which are sub-factors of self-determination of home training participants, had a positive effect on home training satisfaction. Second, exercise satisfaction of home training participants had a positive effect on home training reuse. Based on the research results,It is essential to identify and manage what home training participants demand. It is believed that this can be a positive process for the development of home training.
