계면공학에 기초한 우르차이트 결정의 극성 조절 (Polarity Control of Wurtzite Crystal by Interface Engineering)

  • The general method and mechanism for the polarity control of heteroepitaxial wurtzite films, such as ZnO and GaN, by interface engineering via plasma-assisted molecular beam epitaxy are addressed. We proposed the principle and method controlling the crystal polarity of ZnO on GaN and GaN on ZnO. The crystal polarity of the lower film was maintained by forming a heterointerfce without any interface layer between the upper and the lower layers. However the crystal polarity could be changed by forming the heterointerface with the interface layer having an inversion center. The principle and method suggested here give us a promising tool to fabricate polarity inverted heterostructures, which applicable to invent novel heterostructures and devices.

전류 제어 기반 옵셋 전류를 이용한 단상 영구자석 동기 전동기의 회전자 자극 검출에 관한 연구 (A Study on Rotor Polarity Detection of SP-PMSM Using Offset Current Based on Current Control)

  • 본 논문에서는 단상 영구자석 동기 전동기의 고속 센서리스 운전을 위한 회전자 자극 검출 알고리즘을 제안한다. 일반적으로 단상 영구자석 동기 전동기의 센서리스 운전은 오픈 루프 기동 후 특정 속도 영역에서 센서리스 운전으로 전환된다. 이와 같은 오픈 루프 기동 과정에서 단상 영구자석 동기 전동기의 일정한 회전 방향을 유지하기 위한 회전자 자극의 검출이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 자기적 비대칭을 갖는 단상 영구자석 동기 전동기의 특성을 고려하여 전류 제어기 기반의 옵셋 전류 및 고주파 전압 신호를 활용한 회전자 자극 검출 기법을 제안한다. 제안한 알고리즘은 다수의 실험을 통하여 회전자 자극 검출의 유효성과 유용성을 확인하였다.

A novel grey TMD control for structures subjected to earthquakes

  • A model for calculating structure interacted mechanics is proposed. A structural interaction model and controller design based on tuned mass damping (TMD) was developed to control the induced vibration. A key point is to introduce a new analytical model to evaluate the properties of the TMD that recognizes the motion-dependent nonlinear response observed in the simulations. Aiming at the problem of increased current harmonics and low efficiency of permanent magnet synchronous motors for electric vehicles due to dead time effect, a dead time compensation method based on neural network filter and current polarity detection is proposed. Firstly, the DC components and the higher harmonic components of the motor currents are obtained by virtue of what the neural network filters and the extracted harmonic currents are adjusted to the required compensation voltages by virtue of what the neural network filters. Then, the extracted DC components are used for current polarity dead time compensation control to avert the false compensation when currents approach zero. The neural network filter method extracts the required compensation voltages from the speed component and the current polarity detection compensation method obtains the required compensation voltages by discriminating the current polarity. The combination of the two methods can more precisely compensate the dead time effect of the control system to improve the control performance. Furthermore, based on the relaxed method, the intelligent approach of stability criterion can be regulated appropriately and the artificial TMD was found to be effective in reducing cross-wind vibrations.

  • The base/gate drive suppression method proposed by Joshi and Bose is that which detects the output current polarity of the leg and, according to the polarity, suppresses the base/gate drive of one of the ore switching devices of the leg. This method has the merit that it does not have the conventional dead time problem, reduces the power loss of the driving circuit and others. But this method has difficulty in implementation. In this paper, a new base/gate drive suppression method by detecting not the output current polarity but the output voltage polarity is proposed. The proposed method is easier to implement than Joshi and Bose's method.

Sensorless Control of IPMSM with a Simplified High-Frequency Square Wave Injection Method

  • This paper presents a sensorless speed control of IPMSM (Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) using the high-frequency (HF) square wave injection method. In the proposed HF pulsating square wave injection method, injection voltage is applied into the estimated d-axis of rotor and high-frequency induced q-axis current is considered to estimate the rotor position. Conventional square wave injection methods may need complex demodulation process to find rotor position, while in the proposed method, an easy demodulation process based on the rising-falling edge of the injected voltage and carrier induced q-axis current is implemented, which needs less processing time and improves control bandwidth. Unlike some saliency-based sensorless methods, the proposed method uses maximum torque per ampere (MTPA) strategy, instead of zero d-axis command current strategy, to improve control performance. Furthermore, this paper directly uses resultant d-axis current to detect the magnet polarity and eliminates the need to add an extra pulse injection for magnet polarity detection. As experimental results show, the proposed method can quickly find initial rotor position and MTPA strategy helps to improve the control performance. The effectiveness of the proposed method and all theoretical concepts are verified by mathematical equations, simulation, and experimental tests.

  • This paper proposes a dead time compensation method for an AC motor drive using phase current polarity information which is detected based on a digital programmable low-pass filter (PLPF). The polarity detection using the PLPF is an alternative solution of a conventional method which uses a general low-pass filter (LPF) and hysteresis bands in order to avoid jittering due to noises. The PLPF not only adjusts its cutoff frequency according to the synchronous frequency of AC motors but also eliminates a gain attenuation and phase delay which are main problems of the general LPF. Through the PLPF, a fundamental component signal without gain and phase distortions is extracted from the measured raw current signal with noise. By use of the fundamental component, the polarity of current is effectively detected by reducing the hysteresis band. Finally, the proposed method compensates the dead time effects by adding or subtracting average voltage value to voltage references of the controller according to the detected current polarity information. The proposed compensation method is experimentally verified by compared with the conventional method.

  • 양극성 이중 독립 게이트 실리콘 나노와이어 전계 효과 트랜지스터를 새롭게 제안한다. 제안한 트랜지스터는 극성 게이트와 제어 게이트를 가지고 있다. 극성게이트의 바이어스에 따라서 N형과 P형 트랜지스터의 동작을 결정할 수 있고 제어 게이트의 전압에 따라 트랜지스터의 전류 특성을 제어할 수 있다. 2차원 소자 시뮬레이터를 이용해서 양극성 전류-전압 특성이 동작하도록 두 개의 게이트들과 소스 및 드레인의 일함수를 조사했다. 극성게이트 4.75 eV, 제어게이트 4.5 eV, 소스 및 드레인 4.8 eV일 때 명확한 양극성 특성을 보였다.

극성가변 AC 펄스 MIG용접기를 이용한 아크 브레이징 (The Arc Brazing by Variable Polarity AC Pulse MIG Welding Machine)

  • MIG brazing is used for many parts without melting base metal because of high productivity. Pulsed MIG brazing can be used to further reduce heat input and to improve the process stability. However, a significant amount of zinc in galvanized sheet steel is burned off in the area of brazes. Therefore, the brazing method to reduce the heat input is needed. In the brazing for galvanized sheet steel, variable polarity AC pulse MIG arc brazing can be applied to more decrease the heat input by setting EN-ratio adequately. In this research, we studied for the variable polarity AC pulse MIG arc brazing to decrease the heat input by using ERCuSi-A wire. As the result of increasing EN-ratio, melting ratio of base metal and burning off of zinc were reduced in galvanized sheet steel.

결합범주문법을 이용한 한국어 부정극어와 부정어의 통사 및 의미적 관계 분석 (An Analysis of Syntactic and Semantic Relations between Negative Polarity Items and Negatives in Korean.)

  • Negative polarity items(NPIs), which function as quantifiers are licensed in a syntactically strict way by negatives, which function as qualifiers, resulting in universal negating interpretations as pairs. We present a proposal to explain the related phenomena, in which the syntax and the semantics are closely related to each other, with Combinatory Categorial Grammar. For this purpose, we first adopt the usual approach to scrambling, but control its overgeneration with the use of markers, taking into account the complex syntactic phenomena involving NPIs and scrambling in Korean. We also propose to utilize polarity intensity as a novel feature, in order to account for the universal negating interpretations when NPIs are combined with negatives. Our proposal also explains the difference in readings when other quantifiers or qualifiers intervene the NPI and the related negatives.

  • 비자성체의 자기연마 공정에서는 공작물 표면에 발생하는 자속밀도가 매우 낮아 자기연마입자에 작용하는 절삭력이 현저히 낮아진다. 따라서 공작물 반대편에 전자석을 설치하여 공작물 표면의 자속밀도를 효과적으로 증가 시킬 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 전자석 배열 테이블을 비자성체의 자기연마에 활용하기 위해 전자석 배열에 따른 자속밀도 및 극성변화에 대한 시뮬레이션 및 실험적 검증을 수행하였다. 그 결과 전자석이 같은 극성을 가질 때 보다 중심부분 전자석을 기준으로 주변 전자석이 반대의 극성을 가질 때 중심부분의 전자석에서 가장 높은 자속밀도를 가지는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
