비브리오 균속이 생산하는 식중독 유발 Toxin 유전자의 검출 (Detection of Food Poisoning Toxin Genes Produced by Vibrio sp.)

  • Recently Vibrio sp. are the most frequently isolated microorganism, which causing food poisoning. We investigated the detection of toxin genes and effect of chitosan to toxin genes with PCR. Thirty strains of Vibrio sp. were isolated from sea water and sea products through biological and biochemical tests. Out of 30 strains, 8 were identified as V. parahemolyticus, 7 as V. mimcus, 6 as V. damsela, 5 as V. vulnificus, 4 as V. alginoyticus. In detection of ctx, tdh, and t고 as food poisoning-causing toxin genes, ctx from 7 strains, trh from 4 strains and tdh from 6 strains were detected. Among toxin genes detected strains, we selected V. vulnificus-2 V. damsela-1 and V. parahemolyticus-7. As adding chitosan solution to PCR product of 3 strains, the amplified DNA bands were not detected over 450$\mu\textrm{g}$/$m\ell$ concentrantion of chitosan. Over the result, chitosan is thought to influence the detection of toxin gene.

  • To comply with stringent exhaust emission standards, it is necessary to reserch on some better quality of automotive fuels. Sulfur in fuels is sulfur compound by DOC and then it caused to the increase of PM on the surface of the catalyst. This research is focused on diesel emission characteristics and poisoning effect on Diesel Oxidation Catalyst when Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel(ULSD) and biodiesel are applied simultaneously. The biodiesel is used to improve viscosity of fuel specially in fuel injection system of engine since the introduction of ULSD may degrade viscosity in the process of desulfurization. Furthermore, this study may provide some basic data for the design of emissions reduction technology.

기상요인과 식중독 발병의 연관성에 대한 빅 데이터 분석 (Big Data Study about the Effects of Weather Factors on Food Poisoning Incidence)

  • 본 연구는 2011년 1월1일부터 2014년 12월 31일까지의 기상변이에 관한 빅 데이터와 보건의료의 빅 데이터를 융합하여 식중독 발병률 변이에 기상요인이 어떤 영향을 주는지에 대한 분석을 시도하여 국민건강예방에 도움을 주고자한다. 분석도구 R을 이용하여 로지스틱 회귀와 Lasso 로지스틱 회귀 총 2가지 분석을 하였고, 식중독을 발생시키는 주 원인균을 분류하여 세균성 원인균과 바이러스성 원인균에 의한 식중독 발병률 변이를 확인하였다. 로지스틱 회귀 분석결과, 세균성 원인균에 의한 식중독 발병률에는 평균기온, 일조량편차, 기온편차가 유의미한 영향을 미치고, 바이러스성 원인균에 의한 식중독 발병률에 영향을 미치는 기상요인은 최소증기압, 일조량편차, 기온편차로 나타났다. 본 연구는 기상요인과 식중독 발병률이 상관성이 있음을 확인하였고, 두 가지 원인균에 의한 식중독 발병률이 같은 기상요인에 영향을 받더라도 원인균들의 특성에 따라 식중독 발병률에 반대의 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다.

식중독 미생물의 biofilm 형성에 대한 계피, 정향 및 레몬그래스 정유의 억제 효과 (Inhibitory Effects of Cinnamon, Clove and Lemongrass Essential Oils against Biofilm Formation by Food Poisoning Bacteria)

  • 항균활성이 뛰어난 식물 정유를 이용하여 식품가공 기구 및 용기에 다양하게 사용되는 polyethylene과 stainless steel 표면에 형성된 식중독 6종의 biofilm 형성에 대한 억제 효과를 연구하였다. 식물 정유 20종의 식중독 미생물에 대한 항균활성을 disk diffusion 방법으로 평가한 결과 cinnamon > clove > lemongrass > peppermint > pine needle 순으로 항균활성을 나타냈다. Cinnamon과 clove 정유의 최소억제농도(MIC)와 최소살균농도(MBC)는 각각 0.63-1.25 mg/mL과 1.25-2. mg/mL의 범위를 나타냈으며, lemongrass 정유의 MIC와 MBC는 각각 1.25-2.50 mg/mL과 2.50-5.00 mg/mL로 약간 낮은 항균활성을 나타냈다. 정유 3종의 biofilm 형성 예방효과는 식중독 미생물과 polyethylene 및 stainless steel에 따라 다소 차이가 있었지만, 0.5% 농도의 cinnamon, clove와 lemongrass 정유를 식품접촉 표면에 미리 코팅하였을 때 biofilm 형성에 영향을 주는 것을 확인하였다. 정유의 농도가 증가할수록 모든 식중독 미생물에 대해서 biofilm 형성을 유의적으로 억제하였으며(P<0.05), 0.5% cinnamon과 clove 정유 처리에 의해 L. monocytogenes ATCC 19112와 S. aureus KCCM 11812의 biofilm이 형성되지 않았다. Polyethylene과 stainless steel coupon 표면에 형성된 식중독 미생물의 biofilm의 제거 효과를 측정한 결과, 식중독 미생물의 종류에 따라 차이가 있었지만 정유의 농도가 증가할수록 biofilm 제거 효과는 높아졌으며, 대체로 clove 정유의 biofilm 제거율이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통하여 0.5%의 cinnamon과 clove 정유는 polyethylene과 stainless steel 표면에 식중독 미생물이 형성하는 biofilm을 예방, 성장 억제 및 제거할 수 있는 천연 소재로 적용이 가능한 것으로 나타났다.

체외 생명유지술을 이용한 중독 환자의 치료: 체계적 고찰 (Extracorporeal Life Support in Treatment of Poisoning Patient: Systematic Review)

  • Purpose: Extracorporeal life support (ECLS) is a term used to describe a number of modalities including extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) to support cardiac and/or pulmonary systems. The purpose of this study is to review the available evidence regarding the effect of ECLS in patients with acute poisoning. Methods: Electronic literature searches with PubMed, Embase, Cochrane library, and KoreaMed were conducted for identification of relevant studies addressing ECLS in treatment of acute poisoning. The literature search was conducted by two investigators in March, 2016 with publication language restricted to English and Korean. The toxic substance, technique of ECLS, and final outcome of each case were analyzed. Results: The final analysis included 64 articles including 55 case reports. There were no articles classified according to a high level of evidence such as randomized trial and prospective cohort study. ECLS treatment was used in the management of patients poisoned with 36 unique substances. Venovenous ECMO was performed in 4 cases. Among the reported cases, 10 patients died despite treatment with ECLS. Conclusion: Evidence supporting ECLS for patients with acute poisoning is inadequate. However, many case reports suggest that early consideration of ECLS in poisoned patients with refractory cardiac arrest or hemodynamic compromise refractory to standard therapies may be beneficial.

공기극과 연료극의 복합 황불순물에 의한 고분자 전해질막 연료전지의 성능에 미치는 영향 (The performance of PEMFC during exposure to simultaneous sulfur impurity poisoning on cathode and anode)

  • 고분자 전해질막 연료전지는 연료극의 연료와 공기극의 공기에 각각 $H_2S$$SO_2$이 포함되어 있을 때 그 성능이 심각하게 감소한다. 본 연구는 고분자전해질막 연료전지의 공기극과 연료극에 1 ppm에서 10 ppm의 불순물 가스를 공급하여 전기적 성능측정을 통해 복합적인 황불순물이 단위전지에 미치는 영향을 확인하였다. 최적의 운전조건에서 불순물가스를 피독하였을 때 $SO_2$$H_2S$의 농도가 증가할수록 성능이 급격히 감소하였다(단위전지 온도 $65^{\circ}C$, 상대습도 100%). 그리고 황의 흡착은 MEA의 백금 촉매층 표면서 일어나며, 불순물 가스가 MEA에 누적되는 것을 확인하였다. 1, 3, 5, 및 10 ppm 4회의 연속적인 피독 후 연료전지의 성능이 0.71 V에서 0.54 V(76 %)로 감소하였다.

  • Objectives : As the side effect brought up by internet game addiction, many reports come out, but most of past articles are for middle or high school students. There is seldom a poisoning game treatise to a primary school student, if there is treatise, it is real condition that treatise for lead pipe with psychological reasons is seldom discussion about physical symptoms. This research searches high grade elementary students' game use actual conditions and when divide to general user group, latent danger use group, high dangerous use group, according to serious illness degree of game poisoning, three groups and game poisoning happens, recognized about body symptoms that happen much. Methods : Target population of these questionnaire are fifth and sixth grade elementary student of Seoul city 2 school. Chose 263 elementary students, 144 men, 119 women who understand purpose of research and admit participation is 25 October, 2006 since 1 September, 2006 Results : As poisoning serious illness degree is high, there are many number of game times, much more boys are addicted to internet game than girs, insomnia is apt to happen frequently in game poisoning danger group, and correlation is high by megrim, shoulder ache, digestive trouble. Insomnia, symptoms that show next even if some symptoms show first because there is high correlation between megrim, shoulder ache, digestive trouble is high possibility to happen among four symptoms. Insomnia, megrim, shoulder ache, digestive trouble that happen by internet game poisoning, is apt to increase by increasing addiction. Symptoms treatment can divide by internal treatment that treat insomnia, megrim, digestive trouble, external treatment that is typical symptoms of VDT syndrome shoulder ache, headache, fatigue persimmon. Root treatment is mind symptoms treatment. Game addiction treatment is relationship method 'seven emotions injury treatment' in oriental medicine. 'promote the normal flow of qi' and 'adjustment of suitable emotion' can talk as pivotal point of treatment.

Zipeprol(레스피렌$^{(R)}$)을 탐닉하던 노인의 급성 중독 사망례 (A Lethal Case of Aute Zipeprol Poisoning Occurring in a Drug Addicted Old Woman)

  • Zipeprol dihydrochloride is a non-opioid mucolytic, antitussive agent and it is frequently prescribed for respiratory symptoms such as cough and sputum. The main pharmacologic mechanisms of zipeprol are inhibition of superior laryngeal nerve stimulation and direct antagonism for stimulation of the bronchial receptors, which might have an effect for the drug's mucolytic action. Many cases of drug abuse with zipeprol have occurred world-wide due to the hallucinogenic effect of the drug. In Korea, zipeprol was reported to be the most commonly abused drug among young people for the 1990s. Zipeprol associated death was first reported since 1991 and 69 cases of death related to zipeprol abuse were further reported during 8 years (between 1991 and 1998). In addition to the hallucinogenic effect, dyspnea, extrapyramidal symptoms, seizure, cerebral edema have been reported as the signs and symptoms of toxic zipeprol overdose. However, zipeprol abuse is not common for old age people and non drug abusers. We report here on a fatal case of acute zipeprol poisoning in an eighty five year old drug addicted woman.

일산화탄소 중독 환자에서 고유속 비강 캐뉼라 산소치료 효과에 대한 예비 연구 (A Preliminary Study for Effect of High Flow Oxygen through Nasal Cannula Therapy in Carbon Monoxide Poisoning)

  • Purpose: Acute carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning is one of the most common types of poisoning and a major health problem worldwide. Treatment options are limited to normobaric oxygen therapy, administered using a non-rebreather face mask or hyperbaric oxygen. Compared to conventional oxygen therapy, high-flow nasal cannula oxygen (HFNC) creates a positive pressure effect through high-flow rates. The purpose of this human pilot study is to determine the effects of HFNC on the rate of CO clearance from the blood, in patients with mild to moderate CO poisoning. Methods: CO-poisoned patients were administered 100% oxygen from HFNC (flow of 60 L/min). The fraction of COHb (fCOHb) was measured at 30-min intervals until it decreased to under 10%, and the half-life time of fCOHb (fCOHb t1/2) was subsequently determined. Results: At the time of ED arrival, a total of 10 patients had fCOHb levels ≥10%, with 4 patients ranging between 10% and 50%. The mean rate of fCOHb elimination patterns exhibits logarithmic growth curves that initially increase quickly with time (HFNC equation, Y=0.3388*X+11.67). The mean fCOHbt1/2 in the HFNC group was determined to be 48.5±12.4 minutes. Conclusion: In patients with mild to moderate CO poisoning, oxygen delivered via high flow nasal cannula is a safe and comfortable method to treat acute CO toxicity, and is effective in reducing the COHb half-life. Our results indicate HFNC to be a promising alternative method of delivering oxygen for CO toxicity. Validating the effectiveness of this method will require larger studies with clinical outcomes.
