풍력 블레이드의 전단 웹 모양의 최적화를 위한 구조 해석에 대한 연구

  • In this paper, a study was conducted for the optimization through shear web of shape the Edison program in wind power blade. We measured the displacement and stress distribution through two optimization methods to select the model with the smallest displacement and stress values. Before running the analysis, We try to find the inflection point through the shear web of the model and then analyze by introducing the geometric nonlinearity. The first optimization variables are introduced by the pitch angle and three web shapes. Third model such a honeycomb structure is good way to get an advantage for bending test. According to a method of previous optimization, third model is chosen and then the thickness of the web and blade as a variable is introduced, it is extracted as a result of displacement and the maximum stress per mass.

모델 축소법을 이용한 타이어 인터페이싱 개발 (A Development of the Tire Interfacing Using the Reduction Method)

  • In order to develop the reduced tire modal model for analyzing a full tire model, the Craig-Bampton method is utilized in this paper. When the tire contacts the road, the Abaqus solver extracts the condensed stiffness, coupled mass and mode shape matrix about the node, which contacts the road. The Abaqus full tire model is reduced using the substructure method utilizing Craig-Bampton algorithm. Then, the extracted matrices are interfaced with the superelement, which is fed to the Nastran reduction algorithm. Eventually, the reduced tire model is verified from experiment and various reduction parameters (i.e. modal number, reduction point, etc.) are studied for the effectiveness of the proposed paper.

The effect of radial cracks on tunnel stability

  • The surrounding rock mass contains cracks and joints which are distributed randomly around tunnels, and in the process of tunnel blasting excavation, radial cracks could also be induced in the surrounding rock mass. In order to clearly understand the impact of radial cracks on tunnel stability, tunnel model tests and finite element numerical analysis were implemented in this paper. Two kinds of materials: cement mortar and sandstone, were used to make tunnel models, which were loaded vertically and confined horizontally. The tunnel failure pattern was simulated by using RFPA2D code, and the Tresca stresses and the stress intensity factors were calculated by using ABAQUS code, which were applied to the analysis of tunnel model test results. The numerical results generally agree with the model test results, and the mode II stress intensity factors calculated by ABAQUS code can well explain the model test results. It can be seen that for tunnels with a radial crack emanating from three points on tunnel edge, i.e., the middle point between tunnel spandrel and its top with a dip angle $45^{\circ}$, the tunnel foot with a dip angle $127^{\circ}$, and the tunnel spandrel with $135^{\circ}$ with tunnel wall, the tunnel model strength is about a half of the regular tunnel model strength, and the corresponding tunnel stability decreases largely.

Vibration and stability of fluid conveying pipes with stochastic parameters

  • Flexible cantilever pipes conveying fluids with high velocity are analysed for their dynamic response and stability behaviour. The Young's modulus and mass per unit length of the pipe material have a stochastic distribution. The stochastic fields, that model the fluctuations of Young's modulus and mass density are characterized through their respective means, variances and autocorrelation functions or their equivalent power spectral density functions. The stochastic non self-adjoint partial differential equation is solved for the moments of characteristic values, by treating the point fluctuations to be stochastic perturbations. The second-order statistics of vibration frequencies and mode shapes are obtained. The critical flow velocity is first evaluated using the averaged eigenvalue equation. Through the eigenvalue equation, the statistics of vibration frequencies are transformed to yield critical flow velocity statistics. Expressions for the bounds of eigenvalues are obtained, which in turn yield the corresponding bounds for critical flow velocities.

  • In this study, we developed the simulation program of an overhead catenary-pantograph system, The overhead catenary is modeled with point mass and the pantograph is replaced with 3 d. o. f. model which is composed of mass, spring and damper. Using the developed program, we analyzed the static structure of the overhead catenary and the dynamic characteristics of an overhead catenary-pantograph system such as uplift displacement of contact wire and contact force. we compared the analysis results with the results of GASENDO software developed at RTRI in Japan. The behaviors of uplift displacement of contact wire and contact force were similar with the results of GASENDO software.

FE model updating based on hybrid genetic algorithm and its verification on numerical bridge model

  • FE model-based dynamic analysis has been widely used to predict the dynamic characteristics of civil structures. In a physical point of view, an FE model is unavoidably different from the actual structure as being formulated based on extremely idealized engineering drawings and design data. The conventional model updating methods such as direct method and sensitivity-based parameter estimation are not flexible for model updating of complex and large structures. Thus, it is needed to develop a model updating method applicable to complex structures without restriction. The main objective of this paper is to present the model updating method based on the hybrid genetic algorithm (HGA) by combining the genetic algorithm as global optimization method and modified Nelder-Mead's Simplex method as local optimization method. This FE model updating method using HGA does not need the derivation of derivative function related to parameters and without application of complicated inverse analysis methods. In order to allow its application on diversified and complex structures, a commercial FEA tool is adopted to exploit previously developed element library and analysis algorithms. Moreover, an output-level objective function making use of measurement and analytical results is also presented to update simultaneously the stiffness and mass of the analysis model. The numerical examples demonstrated that the proposed method based on HGA is effective for the updating of the FE model of bridge structures.

녹지의 대기정화효과 분석을 위한 해석적 대기확산모델의 유도 (Analytic Model for Concentration Deficit Profile Caused by a Large Vegetated Area)

  • A simple analytic model is proposed here to analyze the concentration deficit field caused by a large area of vegetated area. With non-dimensional deposition velocity chosen as small parameter, the regular perturbation method is exploited to derive the mass balance equation and the dynamic equations for the concentration deficit field, Analytic solutions to those equations are obtained in a closed form for several cases of interest, assuming that the concentration field is stationary and the plume can be nicely approximated as Gaussian for a point source. The results suggest that quite a negligible fraction (less than 1%) of the gaseous air pollutants emitted into the air is removed by the vegetated area of which width is 4 km in wind-wise direction, the typical dimension of the Restricted Development Zones around the metropolitan regions in South Korea.

  • Development of a model predictive control(MPC) algorithm and its application to the condensate recycle process of a cogeneration power station has been conducted. The cogeneration power station has different characteristics from other industrial processes where MPC has been dominantly applied in that the operating mode changes continuously with seasons and we Ether. Such a characteristic makes it difficulty, a linearized model was derived from mass and pressure balances and linearization. The MPC algorithm has been developed so that the controller tuning is easy with one tuning knob for each output and the constrained optimization is solved by an interior point method. Performance of the MPC algorithm has been verified with the numerically simulated process under various disturbance scenarios and mode changes.

  • 4차 산업혁명 시대에 가상현실 기술의 급속한 성장은 국방 분야에서도 ICT 융합과 더불어 군사훈련체계의 과학화를 가속 시키고 있다. 최근 육군에서는 사격장 소음문제에 따른 민원증가, 사격장 안전사고 예방, 그리고 훈련비용 절감과 같은 민감한 사안을 해결하기 위해 모의 사격훈련 시뮬레이터 연구개발이 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 사격훈련시뮬레이터의 기술적 한계점을 살펴보고 이를 극복하기 위해 훈련자 중심의 공간 동기화 기법과 미소각 근사 수정질점탄도모델을 제안한다. 자체 개발한 정밀사격 시뮬레이터 MARS(medium range assault rifle shooting simulator)에 조성된 혼합현실(mixed reality) 환경에서 반응조끼(haptic vest)를 착용한 훈련자는 가상적군과 양방향 교전간 실시간 피격을 경험할 뿐만 아니라 실제 탄도궤도가 적용된 정밀사격훈련을 수행하게 되어 훈련 결과에 따른 신뢰 높은 훈련평가를 받을 수 있게 되었다.

등온 냉각액을 활용한 plug flow reactor 내의 과열점 제어를 위한 제어모델 개발 (Control of Hot Spots in Plug Flow Reactors Using Constant-temperature Coolant)

  • Plug flow reactor (PFR) 내의 과열점(hot spot) 온도를 조절하는 것은 생성물의 수득률 및 순도, 안전성 측면에서 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 더 현실에 가깝게 모델링 하기 위하여 PFR 내부의 냉각액 온도를 상태변수로 설정하고 방사 방향의 열 및 물질전달을 고려하였다. 모델은 반응물의 농도 및 온도와 냉각액의 온도 총 3개의 상태변수로 이루어져 있으며, 등온 냉각액의 유량을 조작변수로 가진다. 본 연구에서는 방사 방향의 열 및 물질전달을 고려한 제어식이 그렇지 않은 제어식보다 과열점의 온도를 set point 부근으로 더 효과적으로 유지한다는 것을 보였다. 본 연구에서 제안한 제어식은 냉각액의 온도가 반응물 온도의 약 0.7배 부근일 때 St가 1.3 이상이고 Ac/A가 2.0 이하인 조건에서 강건성을 유지하였다. 이 조건에서 반응기로 유입되는 반응물의 온도가 5% 범위에서 바뀔 때 본 연구에서 제안된 제안식을 이용하면 과열점의 온도를 set point의 1% 이내로 유지할 수 있다.
