공압식 소재물림 가이드부쉬 시스템의 설계 및 가공정도 평가 (Design and Machining Precision Evaluation of Pneumatic Clamping Type Guide-bush System)

  • Generally, a fixed type guide-bush system is installed during machining miniature work-pieces with high precision in the multi-task CNC lathe. But a conventional guide-bush system does not provide a constant clamping force under the condition of varying work-piece diameters. It is important to maintain a constant clamping force for guaranteeing machining precision. This paper proposes a new guide-bush system with a pneumatic clamping device for the CNC Swiss-turn lathe to keep constant clamping force with changes in work-piece diameters. Through performance tests, new clamping system developed in the study showed better machining precision at the cost of a small increase in the temperature of the system than conventional systems due to an increase in the frictional heat and a change in the heat transfer route.

  • The effect of frequency and amplitude of the OWC (Oscillating Water Column) motion on the nonlinear reaction forces in an air duct arc studied experimentally. Experimental OWC model is idealized as a simple circular cylinder with an orifice type air duct located at the middle of the top rid. Reaction forces due to forced heave oscillation are measured and analyzed. By subtracting the effect of inertia forces and restoring forces, pneumatic damping force and added spring force are deduced. The effects of the frequency and amplitude of the heave motion are discussed. Also, the effects of solidity of the duct on the reaction forces are discussed.

  • To evaluate the stability of a pneumatic conveyor system, a flow analysis and structural analysis were performed using the FSI technique. Prototypes were fabricated and verified. As a result of the flow analysis, the maximum pressure applied to the device was calculated to be 0.55 MPa. The structural analysis determined that the maximum stress was 131 MPa and the yield strength of the structure was less than 205 MPa. The safety of the system was confirmed by the fact that no deformation occurred during the manufacturing and operation of the prototype.

  • A series of preliminary model tests are performed to find out the wave attenuating effect of the pneumatic breakwater of environment friendly type, which is a bubble screen generated by releasing compressed air from a submerged multiple parallel manifold Rising bubbles induce vertical current, which produces horizontal currents flowing away from the bubble-screen area in both directions. Near bottom, the corresponding currents flow toward the bubble screen, thus completing the circulation pattern. The surface current moving against the direction of wave propagation causes some attenuation of the waves. It becomes more effective as the relative depth (d/ L) increases (short-period waves in deep water). With the same air-discharge, the multiple parallel manifold can be more effective for the attenuation of longer waves through optimum arrangement of manifold number. installation depth, manifold gap, etc. The pneumatic breakwater will give a wide utilization as a device for protecting harbor facilities and as a simple, mobile breakwater.

  • Semi-submersible drilling rigs are offshore plants that perform functions such as ocean exploration for oil and gas acquisition, drilling and production, and storage and unloading of crude oil and gas. Semi-submersible drilling rigs use watertight dampers as emergency buoyancy holders. Since the watertight damper is an emergency shutoff device, it is mainly driven by a pneumatic driving system that can operate without a power supply. The pneumatic driving system has highly non-linear characteristics due to compressibility of air and external disturbance such as static and Coulomb friction. In this paper, a new control algorithm is proposed for a watertight damper driving system based on the sliding mode control with a disturbance observer. To evaluate control performance and robust stability of the designed controller, the control results were compared with the results obtained using the state feedback controller. As a result, it was confirmed that the pneumatic driving system for driving the watertight damper using the sliding mode controller with a disturbance observer can obtain excellent control performance against the parameter changes and the disturbance input.

  • Most operation related to the application granular agrochemicals in korea are manual and labour consuming. As a multipurpose granular applicator, a pneumatic granular applicator that can be attached to conventional ride -on machines for paddy field was designed in this study. Experiments and simulations were carried out for determine in the design factors with one fertilizer (DongBu 21-17-17) and one pesticide (SamKong Ivi). The maximum terminal velocity of granular chemicals was estimated as 14.2m/s. A better distribution pattern was obtained at the diffuser having only deflectors without dividing guides. The diffuser spacing 1.0m for the fertilizer and the diffuser spacing 0.8m for the pesticide at the boom height over 0.80m were acceptable for the uniform distribution. In the case that the forward speed of ride-on machines was 0.7m/s, the groove opening and the roller speed of the selected metering device were13mm -15mm at 2 rps for the fertilizer, and 9 mm-11mm at 0.25rps or the pesticide. This study suggested a method of developing a pneumatic applicator for granular agrochemicals.

  • In this paper, an inspection system has been developed where pneumatic instruments are used to stretch the film using compressed air, thus the curl problem can be overcome. When the pneumatic system is applied, a line scan camera should be used instead of an area camera because the COF surface makes an arc by the air pressure. The distance between the COF and the inspection camera should be kept constant to get a clear image, thus the position of COF is to be monitored on real-time. An operating software has been also developed which is switching on/off the pneumatic system, determining the COF position using a camera vision, displaying the contour of the COF side view, sending self-diagnosis result and etc. The developed system has been examined using the actual roll of COF, which convince that the system can be an effective device to inspect the COF rolls in process.

소방차량 정밀점검 분석에 따른 차종별 결함 발생에 관한 연구 (On the Occurrence of Defects by Vehicle Type According to the Fire-fighting Vehicle Detailed Inspection)

  • 연구목적: 본 연구는 일선 소방관서에 사용되고 있는 소방용 고가사다리차, 굴절사다리차, 화학차 및 펌프차의 최근 6년간의 정밀점검의 데이터를 기반으로 차종별로 시·도별 실시현황, 결함 발생률 및 연도별 결함 발생 사항 등을 파악하여 소방차량의 기술발전에 기여함을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법: 소방용의 고가사다리차, 굴절사다리차, 펌프차 및 화학차의 최근 6년간 정밀점검 기준에 따라 실시한 정밀점검 데이터를 통하여 차종별, 시·도별 실시현황 및 결함발생률, 연도별 결함사항을 분석하여 사용 연수에 따른 결함 발생 등의 현상을 분석하였다. 연구결과: 평균 230대 이상의 정밀점검 차량을 신청한 2012년에서 2017년도까지 시·도별 결과, 약간의 변동을 보여주기는 하지만 노후 소방차량 교체사업과 소방차량 제조업체의 대응 등으로 결함 발생 건수가 점차 감소 되는 결과를 보여주었다. 결론: 소방고가사다리차의 경우 결함발생율은 승강기장치, 전기장치, 사다리장치, 공압공급 장치의 순서로 결함의 발생률이 나타나는 것으로 파악되었으며, 소방굴절사다리차의 경우 굴절사다리, 유압실린더, 유압오일, 공압공급 장치의 순서로 결함의 발생률이 나타나는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 소방화학차의 경우는 분말소화장치, 소방펌프, 진공펌프, 공압공급 장치의 부분에서 결함이 발생되는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, 소방펌프차의 경우는 물탱크, 소방펌프, 진공펌프 및 공압공급 장치의 부분에서 결함이 발생하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

콤바인 곡물 포대 자동이송장치 개발 (Development of Automatic Sacking Device for the Combine Harvester)

  • This study was performed to develop an automatic sacking device for the combine harvester which was constituted input/output signal system, controller, delivery device, shooting device, pneumatic system for shooting operation, vibration device fer sacking operation and a new developed sacking bag. A new developed automatic sacking device and new sacking bag were operated well in general. And they were possible to develop a new combine to reduce of fatigue, to improve the safety and the performance. In developed device, The optimum delivery velocity of conveyer for sacking was 5.16 mm/sec. In sacking device, sacking discharge was shown 94% with non-vibration condition and sacking discharge was shown 99% with vibration condition, respectively.
