In today's technology streaming service's QoS technologiey is an issue. On quality video streaming service there are some technical issues exist, such as buffering. This submission is "Adaptive dual-streaming system design" which is for the integrity of the data streaming that is sent to TCP and UDP for faster transmission of data to the stream. This system provides real-time incoming video encoding in bitrate of h.264-based H through a process based on the video footage of several server and client-to-TCP and UDP via Adaptive providing streaming services in a network environment. This is an unspecified number of buffers in a network environment and continued through the minimization of various streaming for playback of videos and multimedia will be utilized in the field.

Multimedia streams, like MPEG continuously retrieve multimedia data because of their incessant playback. While these streams need an efficient support of kernel, the current buffer cache mechanism of Linux kernel such as Unix operating system was designed apt for small files, which is aperiodically requested as well as time uncritical. But, in case of continuous media, the CPU must enormously copy memory from kernel address space to user address space. This must lead to a large CPU overhead. This overhead both degrades system throughput and cannot guarantee QOS. In this paper, we have designed and implemented two memory copy reduction schemes in Linux kernel, direct I/O and one copy. The direct I/O skips the buffer cache layer of Linux kernel and results in dramatic reduction of CPU memory copy overhead. And, the one copy provides a fast disk-to-network data path without copying to user address space. The experimental results show considerable reduction of CPU overhead and throughput improvements.
This paper proposes an interactive VOD system to serve truly interactive VCR services using multicast delivery, client buffer and web-caching technique which implements the distributed proxy in Head-End- Network(HNET). This technique adopts some caches in the HNET that consists of a Switching Agent(SA), some Head-End-Nodes(HEN) and many clients. In this model, HENs distributively store the requested video under the control of SA. Also, client buffer dynamically expands to support various VCR playback rate. Thus, interactive services are offered with transmitting video streams from network, HENs and stored streams on buffer. Therefore this technique makes the load of network occur In the limited area, minimizes the additional channel allocation from server and restricts the transmission of duplicated video contents
Recently, with the rapid increasing demands for data services on the Internet, the need for large-scale data centers has been increased. However, these data centers consume enormous amounts of energy to run numerous servers and equipment. In this paper, we therefore propose a novel scheme to save energy in multimedia servers by concentrating the load on specific servers according to the current load level of the overall system and turning them off immediately. To this end, the number of server groups in which each video is stored is determined according to its popularity so that video playback requests can be evenly distributed to the entire system. Finally, through extensive simulations, we show that our proposed data placement and power management scheme in multimedia servers significantly reduces energy consumption by decreasing the number of servers whose powers are on when compared with the existing method, while maintaining the service quality.

We propose a packet scheduling algorithms for streaming media. We assume that the receiver periodically reports back the channel throughput. From the original video data, the importance level of a video packet is determined by its relative position within its group of pictures, taking into account the motion-texture discrimination and temporal scalability. Thus, we generate a number of nested substreams. Using feedback information from the receiver and statistical characteristics of the video, we model the streaming system as a queueing system, compute the run-time decoding failure probability of a Same in each substream based on effective bandwidth approach, and determine the optimum substream to be sent at that moment in time. Since the optimum substream is updated periodically, the resulting sending order is different from the original playback order. From experiments with real video data, we show that our proposed scheduling scheme outperforms the conventional sequential sending scheme.

The transcoding is a solution which is able to adapt to heterogeneous clients of requesting a different playback rate of multimedia data. Thus, The transcoding needs decoding and encoding. In general, previous studies to reduce complexity have a problem, the degradation of visual quality On the contrary, previous studies to reduce the degradation of visual quality lead to heavy computation. Thus, many researchers have studied a solution between the complexity and the degradation of visual quality. But until now, most researches of this region have dealt with the transcoder itself, such researches about a server's assistance to improve the performance of transcoder is rarely studied. In case of servicing multimedia data to heterogeneous clients which have low capabilities, the assistance of server side is able to reduce frames with processing in the transcoder and improve the performance of the transcoder. Thus in this paper, we propose the frame-skipping transcoder system architecture that takes into consideration transcoder and server side to reduce the complexity of the transcoder.
With the advance in digital technologies and the increasing prevalence of high quality multimedia contents, there is a growing user demand for multimedia devices, such as mobile phones, digital TV, PMP, digital camcoders, digital cameras. Such devices provide various services associated with multimedia file manipulation, including multimedia contents playback, multimedia file editing, etc. Conventional file systems exhibit a performance-related drawback that requires considerable amount of time and disk I/Os in order to store large-sized edited multimedia files. This paper proposes a fast, efficient writing technique for large-sized edited multimedia files by using data block sharing with adjustment of inode block pointers. Our experiments show that the proposed scheme not only improves write performance of the Ext3 file system on average by 16 times with various types of edited multimedia files, but also reduces consumed disk space dramatically through the data block sharing.

In this paper, it can be seen that the number of abandoned dogs increases every year through the statistics on the occurrence of abandoned animals. With the goal of reducing the number of stray dogs, a smart pet dog shoulder strap is implemented based on a real-time location tracking system using the ESP32 module and GPS sensor. It is an ESP32 module with a built-in Bluetooth module. It is input to the MCU using various sensors, and finally outputs to a smart-phone application, and communicates through the built-in blue-tooth module. In addition, it uses Neopixels to compensate the weaknesses at night through LED light emission, and automatically sets the warning distance to design a music playback system through the LED flashing effect and MP3 module. In addition, a smart pet dog shoulder strap was designed to help pet dog health care by measuring the moving distance according to the amount of activity through the gyro sensor.
A distributed multimedia school system is developed for the multimedia classroom at high school and university. The system is designed and implemented for students to improve the learning efficiency through the personalized multimedia contents and pace of learning. The previously developed multimedia information retrieval systems have some limitations on being applied to the multimedia classroom: expensive cost per stream or poor retrieval quality inappropriate for education, unscalability of system and service, unfamiliar proprietary client environment, and difficulty for teachers to use the authoring tools and manage the authored teaching materials. The system we developed overcomes the above problems. It is so scalable as to be applicable not only to a segmented classroom but also to the world wide Internet. The stream server is one of the components of the system: stream servers clients, a service gateway system, and a authoring management system. This paper describes the design and implementation of the stream server. A single stream server can simultaneously playback the multimedia streams as many as clients at one classroom. This is achieved only by the software engine without any changes of the hardware architecture. The systematic coupling with other components gives the scalability of the system and the flexibility of services.
Non-parametric method such as technology efficiency, DEA/Window model and Malmquist Productivity Index (MPI) are used to measure efficiency and productivity of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) manufacturing industry and service industry over the period 2007-2011. The results of this paper indicate following: (1) Technology efficiency of the ICT manufacturing industry were found as the range of 0.34 and 0.39 over the sample period. Technology efficiency of the ICT service industry were found as the range of 0.16 and 0.20 over the sample period. (2) The geometric average of the Malmquist TFP indexes on ICT manufacturing industry indicated the productivity improvement an average of 8.3 percent. The geometric average of the Malmquist TFP indexes on ICT service industry indicated the productivity improvement an average of 1.6 percent.
